This place was perfect for our family of 12. Beautiful view of the lake on both sides of this cottage which actually is a home!!! It is extremely well furnished, clean and organized!! Has all the extras!!! Communication was excellent! We had great weather and enjoyed all their yard games, kayaks, and paddle boards! Lots of fish were caught as well! They even spoiled us with some local treats to welcome us! Our ages ranged from 80 down to 8 - there was something for everyone to do!

Myself and 5 other family members stayed at this beautiful lake house for a week! We absolutely loved every minute and had a great time making memories in the great UP! We traveled from Kentucky to the UP and was able to find something to get into everyday. We even took a day to sit around and relax. Dana was amazing with any questions we had. Thank you so much the amazing experience!!

Our family enjoyed our stay. The common areas are spacious, well-appointed, and good for a large group. The outdoor seating and lake views were lovely. The master bedroom was large and lake facing with a comfy bed. The queen bedrooms and the double bunk bedroom were nice as well. The 5th bedroom with the twin beds did not work out for our family as it was really cold in that room and the water heater was pretty noisy in there. Overall, a quality place to stay with above average lake views and access.

What a great location. Beautiful clean home right on the water. Had a great time fishing off the boat and off the dock. Owner was fantastic to deal with. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Great fishing for the kids. Very roomy for 14 of us. Lots of outside chairs available. Lots of firewood. Plenty of life jackets. Lots of forks for smores. Having 2 refrigerators was great. Nice shallow water for younger kids. Would have been nice to have more microwave dishes. Master bedroom had an amazing view but could have used a privacy screen for dressing since anybody from the outside could see in.

Great space for family gathering! Kids enjoyed swimming and standup boards! Adults enjoyed the relaxing setting! Easy access to other events in the area-family reunion , Marquette and Pictured Rocks.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay in Gwinn, MI. The water views from inside and outside the home were amazing. The moonlight dancing on the water was unlike anything I’d seen before. House was plenty big (we could have used more people in our party!) Kitchen fully stocked and plenty of room. All amenities as described. We had a great stay. Hope to re-visit in the future with bigger group.

Our 4 generation group of 10 stayed for one week while attending a family wedding in the area. The house, lake and amenities were all as listed. One of the best supplied VRBO rentals we have stayed at!! Nancy was great to work with, always keeping us informed on what we needed to know and checking in frequently. The dock and swim area was perfect to hang out with our 10 month old grandson; clear water, sandy bottom and not deep. Breathtaking views from morning to night from the back deck. The house is secluded and the lake is very quiet and relaxing! Very impressed with the WiFi. Visiting Presque Isle Park and the Black Rock area was amazing!! 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!!

The house was fantastic and the owners are so generous with information and sticking the house for every eventuality- will absolutely rent the property again!

We had an amazing time at this property. The host was very accommodating, the location of the property was great, and the lake house is a great launching point for tons of nearby attractions (including Pictured Rocks and other great fall hiking). Nothing but great things to say about the property and host. We look forward to our next visit!

House was perfect for our extended family of 10 (had a bed to spare). Ages 12-75 enjoyed it thoroughly. Great location with water on both sides of the property. Lots to do at the house (kayaking, paddleboarding, standard board games, puzzles, movies firepit, foosball) and nearby (disc golf, pictured rocks, shopping and escape room in Marquette). Huge deck with lots of seating. House doesn't have AC but breeze from lake keeps it pretty cool and there ate fans in every room. Two big picnic tables on deck that each seat 6. Gas grill available. Fishing was super fun (bring your own poles but they have a plethora of life jackets). Lake is mostly very shallow but can swim at end of dock. Kitchen was fully stocked. They only provide minimal paper products so bring extras. Large table for eating and playing games together, with a couple of other tables available, too.

The family was happy with the success of fishing. We rented the pontoon boat for our stay. It was wonderful to have that at the dock ready to go. We successfully caught Pike. Almost everyone in the family caught a fish. Some we had to release because of size. The weather was perfect for our stay. The young ones enjoyed the kayaks and water boards. Some traveled to Munising to kayak at the Pictured Rock. Another day we went to Marquette and visited the Superior Dome and Presque Isle. The family was determined to jump off the Rock and they did. We had a terrific time and the location was great for fishing.

We had a great time at this property. Amazing views out all windows. Great place for 3 families. Kids had fun on all the kayaks and paddle boards!

We took our family (usually 10 but 8 this year) for our annual UP vacation and we all loved this property , this lake and this location. The house easily accomodated us all. The outside deck and furniture was awesome of all of relaxing, eating , visiting together or just watching the lake. The water by pier dock was shallow enough for our 2 year old grandson to walk around and play in . The fishing was great - which pleased us all. We would definitely visit here again .

We spent a long weekend with 15 family members. There was plenty of room for everyone. The home owner was very attentive and replied quickly when contacted. A very detailed book about the house, area, lake and checkout procedures is provided. We loved that the lake was on both sides of the house. You get the sunrise and the sunset! Lots of little amenities provided...bug spray, sunscreen, flashlights, lake floaties, firewood... We caught fish, fed the squirrels and stood on the sandbar in the middle of the lake :) Would stay again and hopefully can return next year!

We loved our stay at East Bass Lake! The house and property are amazing. Lake front on both sides. Very quiet and peaceful lake, very little boat traffic. Kayaks and SUP provided. Fall colors on the lake were peaking in late September. Campfire with wood provided. Absolutely amazing property!

We rented this house along with a friend’s family (4 adults and 5 kids ages 4-10). Everyone had a blast as there was so much to do at the lake and in the surrounding area. From the house, we went swimming off the deck and dock (great sandy, walk-in bottom for kids), kayaking, pontoon boating, paddle boarding, and fishing. The lake is very clean and calm. Sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous. We also took some day trips to Marquette and went to Presque Isle, Grand Island, and Little Presque Isle. All very fun. Looking forward to coming back to the UP at some point. Thanks Nancy!

It is a good place to get together with family. Plenty of room. Seemed like a lot of rules. I don't know if being that close to the water made it so it would have gnats in the shower, or if they just forgot to check to make sure it was clean. We thought the tv would pick up some stations but couldn't get a thing. Glad they supplied movies. But overall we had a great time.

This was our second time staying here, and it delivered again. If a lake front stay is what you are looking for, this is it. Kayaks, SUPs, floats, and a great view! A wonderful place for a larger family gathering.

Property was very nice and the views to die for. The home had many water toys, bikes, and a fishing boat. Kitchen was very well stocked and loved the fact beach towels were available. The home very well stocked with start up items.

We had a wonderful time at your home Nancy! We loved the layout for our family, with bedrooms on both sides of the house. Enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and fishing boat! Our favorite place to gather was the beautiful deck and beach area. The beds were all comfortable and all the supplies you need! Thanks again and we hope to be back! Great set up of trash, returnable sand recycling! Did not get much sightseeing in as we did not want to leave!

We loved the place!! We initially looked at two other places: one was too remote even for our nature loving group, and the other was in an area too densely populated. This place was just right - with lots of privacy even though there were other camps close by. We were all glad we chose this location on a small lake over places on lakes Superior or Michigan as we were able to do a lot more (paddle boarding, kayaking, motor boating, swimming and fishing) literally out the back door. The house was homey and cozy but had plenty of room. We loved the two living spaces which allowed our family of 11 (9 adults and 2 toddlers) to spread out with out feeling isolated from each other. We especially enjoyed the sun room that had two large couches for napping or reading and a great game table where we all played games and worked on a jigsaw puzzle that we brought. (there were also lots of games at the camp and a foosball table). The furniture was very comfortable with a great lounge chair in the living room perfect for reading to and cuddling with toddlers. Between the kitchen bar, dining table and game table, there was plenty of seating for our casual family meals. The kitchen was very well stocked. The master bedroom had a beautiful view of the lake through the trees and all of the rooms had views of the lake which was on both sides of the property. The outdoor areas were equally well laid out. The decks and dock were a wonderful place to hang out with both sun and shady areas and great access to the water - lots of comfortable seating. There is a huge wood pile so we enjoyed campfires a few of the nights. Around the front of the house is a perfect sized lawn for playing catch or yard games. The road to the camp is great for a pretty bike ride out to the main road about 3.5 miles one way. One special treat for us was seeing the bald eagles on the lake right by the house. The mosquitos were a bit vicious so be prepared to use bug spray The camp and property were very clean and well maintained and the owners thought of every little thing you might need including beach towels and a large assortment of life jackets as well as indoor and outdoor games.We had a coolish week but if it had been hot, there were plenty of fans for all of the bedrooms. We had no trouble staying entertained when at the camp.

This is one of the most welcoming homes I had ever stayed in. Nancy was beyond accommodating and helpful, I could reach her at basically anytime and she would help with any questions I had. She goes above and beyond to make sure her guest feel welcome and happy. The location itself is gorgeous, outdoor activities are endless and you can spend all day sitting on the dock by the lake just simply enjoying the view and atmosphere. It is truly a little slice of paradise. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to experience everything the UP has to offer.
