Abenteuerlustige können eine Show im Whitewater Amphitheater oder einen Tanz in der historischen Gruene Hall genießen. Es gibt Schlitterbahn 14 Meilen entfernt für einen Tag auf dem Wasser. We picked this house because it was along the line of totality for the 2024 eclipse. The house is clean and well kept. The yard is lovely and shaded with grazing deer all the time. You have a view of the lake which was 22 feet low at the time.

Beautiful and relaxing getaway
This was our second stay at this wonderful little cottage at the lake. The home is clean and well appointed. The lot is spectacular full of trees and a view of Canyon Lake. Morning coffee with the deer was amazing. We will visit this place again and again. Thank you for a relaxing getaway once again.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely cottage. It was a quiet weekend away from family and taking care of others. The wildlife was abundant. Quite a few deer.

The Perfect Cabin
This property offers a nice and relaxing stay. We enjoyed the beautiful outdoor view and the nice big yard. The cabin has essential items for the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. Our kids enjoyed playing some of the board games and the outdoor activities with the sports items that were provided. Our favorite part of our stay at this place was the “Visitors” (deers) they came out early in the morning and afternoon. We will definitely try to book again.

Just want we needed
Driving up to the property you can see this place is some special, and as soon as you walk in you can see all the charm that this place as to give. The dacor was cute and make you feel like you was in a old lake cabin from the 60’s. We spend all our time in the screened-in porch ate breakfast, lunch and dinner out there. The only time the tv came on was just to see if a college football was on. The deers was my wife favorite part she made a friend with one special deer that would come in the morning so she can eat out of her hand. Before we left we was already looking at our work calendar to see when we can come back and spend time here again. Rick you have a special place and we will be back thanks again for a wonderful weekend.

Great relaxing place to stay!
We loved our stay here. Our favorite part was every morning and evening we would have 8 to 11 deer come within 10 feet of us and eat the corn we put out. In fact one of them would eat our of our hand. The house was very comfortable and relaxing just as a lake house should be. We would highly recommend it!

This was a very nice property if you want a remote getaway
Check in was easy. Property was clean and had everything we needed! Was not impressed with the lake access or having to wait in line for hours to get down to the lake to be turned away due to being over crowded, but this was not the property owners fault obviously. We enjoyed the relaxation of the property. Beds were comfortable and really enjoyed the screened in porch and watching and feeding the deer. My 21 yr old son and his friends don’t like to be around crowds so they stayed local while my friends and I explored the river and other areas. Overall was a great getaway weekend that was much needed! Thanks

Great place for family getaway.
We had a great time at this property. Everything was as listed and was clean. Our kids(boys 8,11,14) had a great time with all of the board games and feeding the deer. We would definitely like to go back as our boys have already asked when we can go back. They really think of everything and made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful cottage with snacks and wine left by the owner. We also had the lovely company of several deer and got one to eat out of my hand from feed left by the owner. Looking forward to bringing my kids next time!

This Canyon Lake property was so cozy & comfortable! Very clean with all the comforts of home & very comfortable beds. Wish we could have had time to play some of the games available. We especially enjoyed the lovely deer welcoming committee!!

This house is everything we look for when renting. Great view, quiet location, outdoor space, clean and comfortable.
The house had everything we needed. After spending time on the lake/river it was nice to get back to the house and relax. The yard is amazing with a lot of trees and shade and daily visits from the deer.
The house itself has comfortable beds, plenty of places to sit and a nice clean and big bathroom. They most underrated and unexpected part of the house was the screened porch. We spent every morning and evening out there (I may have take a nap on the porch swing).

Great home away from home
This property is amazing, check in was very rapid. When we arrived at the home, it smell clean and fresh. My kids(7yr & 10yr) enjoyed the outdoor games they had in the home. They also loved feeding the deer who just coming walking up to the property.We enjoyed S’more’s I’m the evening with our bond fire. I recommend their property to any one looking for great leisure.

The cabin was lovely. Just what we needed.
The decor was great. We enjoyed watching the deer. Two fawns played in the yard. So cute! It was hot this weekend but we had a nice breeze most of the time. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and even some basics like cooking oil, spices, ziploc bags and foil. We sat in the swing at sundown and enjoyed mornings in the screen porch. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve had away from home ever! Will definitely return!

If youre on the fence just book it seriously! My fiancé and best friend and her husband had a blast. The cabin has such a warm nostalgia feeling with all the old world Texas charms. Loved feeding the deer and just hanging out. Canyon Lake is amazingly blue and we had a jet ski with us and had a blast. Neighbor was very nice also and they kept to themselves. Would be a great place for kids with all the space. Check the White cabinet in the living room for a nostalgia treat ugh didn't find it till the last few hours we were there. Thank you so much for hosting my friends and I sir. We will be back!

18 Year Anniversary
A long weekend anniversary get away for my husband and I. Our original vacation was cancelled due to covid but this was by far a great escape. We rented a boat for one of the days, Canyon Lake is absolutely beautiful and the house was only couple minutes from Marina!! The wildlife was a fresh of breath air, fed a deer from my hand and watched 2 foxes play. Thank you for sharing your home...ps, the decor is awesome!!

Amazing cottage!
This was our second mama/daughter trip to this delightful cottage! The house is spotless, charming, comfortable, has an amazing view - and the deer! I loved feeding the deer! We loved our week here as much as the first time and can't wait to go back next year! Ate at The Gruene Door in Gruene and McAdoos and Huisache Grill in New Braunsfels. Highly recommend all three! But, the best part of the trip was sitting in front of the fire in the living room or sitting on the screened back porch watching the deer. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit one night. If you're looking for an amazingly relaxing get-away, this is the place. And Rick is the host with the most!
