We stayed here a month and found it super enjoyable. The house was clean and very well furnished – and the beds were comfortable. For a few days we had both our adult daughters staying with us and it got a little crowded but for the two of us it was great. The washer/dryer was wonderful too! An additional plus was the 400 gallon water tank in the back yard. During the Coffee & Flower Festival (Yes, it gets very noisy at night) Boquete’s water supply is diverted to the festival. With the water storage tank and a little conservation we didn’t suffer any water shortage. It was so nice so be able to sit on the patio with coffee or a glass of wine and look out over the mountains. The rainbows from the patio were spectacular! The caretakers Donn and Andria were wonderful and made our stay so easy. An easy walk into town and to the market and numerous restaurants but it was a very steep walk uphill on the way back.

Cottage was clean and the location, within walking distance of town, was perfect. I would highly recommend!

The house was as advertised, clean and easy access to the downtown area. The only problem was there were a lot of barking dogs during the evening and night. Nice property and a great location.

The cottage was clean on our arrival and had everything we needed for vacation level cooking etc. It is compact, but there was plenty of space for our family to hang out in the evenings. The wifi was reliable (important for our daughter!). The owner's reps were communicative and helpful - arrival and departure were easy, and they made suggestions for dining and activities. The neighbourhood is a little noisy with dogs and roosters at night, but it's a rural area - you can't really get away from that, and there are 'white noise' machines in two of the bedrooms, and a stash of earplugs is provided if you need them.

We recently stayed here for 3 weeks. The Pros- The house is fairly well equipped with comfortable beds and good WiFi. Great views across Boquete to the mountains. Decent hot water supply and washer/dryer were useful. The Cons - the view comes at a price, there is a steep hill to walk up from town which discourages more than 1 climb in a day (we could have used a cheap taxi and did that once). The house is in a narrow valley with several homes around that all have 1 or more dogs that roam the neighbourhood. It can be peaceful at times but when all the dogs start up a barking chorus usually at night it gets pretty annoying. The white noise machine mutes it to some extent and we used it every night. Boquete is an interesting place to visit with its mountain scenery and some challenging walking trails nearby.

We stayed at this property for 5 nights. Donn and Andrea were great hosts. They met us and explained everything in the house, and gave us all kinds of great info about Boquete and the surrounding area. They arranged for a pick up at the airport with Fernando, who also was great and we used him several times for transportation. Donn and Andrea checked on us several times during our stay to see if we needed anything. The house is in a great location within walking distance into town, well equipped and has everything you would need. We were there during the coffee and flower festival. If you come during this time you can expect noise from the festival. We throughly enjoyed our stay in Boquete. We would highly recommend the coffee plantation tour at Finca dos Jefes, the Lost Waterfall Hike and the Tuesday market. Joan, Craig, Nancy and Steve

We had a great stay in Boquete, and enjoyed the beautiful views from the house with our morning coffee. Communication was easy throughout booking and our stay. I highly recommend this home.

We were actually not able to visit this trip, but did get to meet the care keepers and see the house. All was great and friendly and the house would be perfect next time, if our son can join us. Pretty views and nice to be a bit above all the road construction in town. Brett was a gracias owner and helped us with a change in plans, which was much appreciated. We will be back, we loved Boquette!

This is a very quaint property that has the potential to be a great property. The size is perfect for a family of 6. The only problems with the property is the run down furniture in the living area and the worn out bed sheets and covers. The floor was dirty. The property managers were great hosts and full of information on the area.

Cozy home nestled on a hill overlooking Boquete. Home very clean and comfortable, full of amenities. Walking distance to town shops and short drive to amazing hikes and other must-see's and must-do's in Boquete. Hosts were extraordinarily helpful from check-in through getting oriented to the town to departure.

We had such a nice stay in Boquete! Our first night was a little noisy with the dogs carrying on but we got used to it. Donn and Andrea were extremely helpful, even after we left and had questions about getting to our next destination! Thank you so much!

We really enjoyed our stay in Boquete. It was quite obvious that the owner Brett and the property managers Donn and Andrea take pride in the home, as it was very clean, comfortable, and well-kept. The house has a stunning view and a gentle breeze passing through, keeping a perfect temperature. The kitchen was not the typical hodgepodge of dishes and utensils, but actually held practical items and matching sets of dishes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom rivaled a bathroom in the US. The washer and dryer were a godsend since we were determined to hike, even in the rain. The welcome basket was a very pleasant surprise, as were the other touches like ample/fluffy towels, nightlights, bottle opener, cold medicine, bottled water, sealed/odor preventing trashcans, an umbrella. . . Yes, we were in a third world country, but these additions gave us a little touch of home. Donn and Andrea were extremely knowledgeable about the home and the area and provided so much helpful information. They were very prompt in responding to any questions we had and obviously delight in being helpful. We would certainly stay here again. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Very nice experience, wonderful hosts

While in Panama City, Panama visiting family in August, we decided to make a quick trip to Boquete, a small wonderful town in Chiriqui Province where I used to vacation with my family during summer breaks growing up in Panama. Brett's listing immediately caught our attention! The house is in a fantastic location, just a short walk to the center of town, with easy access to restaurants, pharmacy, groceries and multiple activities. Our stay could not have been more perfect! The caretakers, Don and Andrea, were easily accessible via phone, email and WhatsApp. When we arrived at the house it was spotlessly clean and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a welcoming basket with fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. We traveled with two teenagers; this house was the perfect size for a group/family of 4-5 people, never feeling crowded and providing sufficient space for all, with comfortable bedrooms, views of the mountains, a nice patio and a beautiful yard. A note to light sleepers: Boquete has always been an agricultural town with people connected to the coffee plantations, families escaping the heat from David on weekends, and regular folks going about their normal routine. It is a REAL village where you may hear roosters early in the morning, dogs barking at night, and children chatting on their way to or from school. The host thoughtfully added a noise canceling machine to the master bedroom, but for us closing the windows worked just fine one particular night, and it did not detract from the wonderful experiences we had during our stay. I strongly recommend Brett's house in Boquete and would not hesitate to book a stay in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The scenery was beautiful and the house was very clean and comfortable. When we first arrived I was a little worried about the walk to the town and shopping area but we decided to give it a try and it really wasn't as far as it first seemed. The trip back to the house is a little harder because it's mainly up-hill but it is still very doable. However they provide you with the numbers of taxi drivers that are very nice and fair price. The restaurants were all very good. We really liked eating breakfast and lunches at the Sugar and Spice cafe. I would recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our 30 day stay @ this home in Boquete. Donn & Andrea are very helpful. The house is furnished nicely. We especially liked relaxing on the back porch and watching the neighbor's chickens whom we named for their individual looks and personalities. The main bedroom has a large office area and walk-in closet, tho the other 2 bedrooms do not have closet space. Two comfy sofas in the living room and a fully equipped kitchen with a separate dining area. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all.

Donn and Andrea the managers were very helpful and supplied us with everything we needed when requested. We met them at an agreed meeting place which was very close by the rental house and they even drove with us to the Boquete Outdoor Adventure office where we had booked a tour and were in a hurry to make it in time. They stayed in touch with us via Whatsapp which worked out great.The dogs barked some nights and the roosters get up earlier there but that is typical in Boquete and we needed earplugs which they provided us the next day, as well as hand soap that was running out and extra toilet paper have just in case, even if we didn't need it. The house looks exactly as shown in the pictures, and the beds were very comfortable which is important for me. My son slept on the bunk bed. The kitchen has everything you need, the shower is very nice and had always hot water which is not a given in Boquete. They recommended the cell phone company done the road where I bought a SIM card which came in handy for phone calls as well as for my GPS app which always brought me to the right place, especially on the way back to the airport in David because there are absolutely no street signs. You don't need a car in Boquete but if you want to explore other places or drive the scenic routes it's nice to have to be independent otherwise you will have to get a taxi each time. Nice feature is also the washer and dryer which makes it easy to pack light. They have a booklet with restaurant suggestions and activities which comes in handy. My recommendation is to book your activities before you visit Boquete, so you don't waste any time while you are there because some tours are booked out solid. Absolutely, a must do is zip lining, it was a blast. Also make sure you get directions from the airport to Boquete otherwise you might end up at the Costa Rica border as it happend to us because the guy at the car rental gave us the wrong directions and there are no signs. I would stay there again. The only thing that I have to complain about is the bottom cover of the shower that has a bump in the metal that hurts your foot if you stand on it as well has the bathroom door handle which has a sharp edge where I cut my finger on it (might be just me being unlucky to grab the knob the wrong way).
