Das Swallow Nest bietet 1.600 Quadratmeter frisch renovierten Wohnraum, einen neu angelegten Garten mit Terrasse, Terrasse und Gasgrill, zwei Decks im zweiten Stock mit Blick auf die Berge und einen Parkplatz für zwei Autos.
Wir befinden uns im Herzen der Innenstadt Salida, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von allem, was man braucht gelegen. WLAN ist im gesamten Haus verfügbar. Sie werden es hier lieben!
Erdgeschoss:
Das erst kürzlich renovierte Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was Sie brauchen, um ein gutes Essen zu machen und es in den angrenzenden Speisesaal oder auf der Terrasse Tisch im Hinterhof genießen.
Im Wohnzimmer, Musik hören oder streamen Sie Ihre Lieblingsfilme auf der Smart-TV (vorausgesetzt, Netflix-Konto), während in Komfort auf unserem neuen Sofa und Sitzgruppe sitzt. (Die Couch zieht sich in ein Queen-Size-Bett und Wohnzimmer Türen schließen, um einen gemütlichen Schlafplatz zu machen.)
Eine günstige Lage im Erdgeschoss Vollbad hat eine Eckdusche.

We had the best time; absolutely lovely property. One of the ac units didn’t work, so, that was disappointing for the couple that got that room, but, they managed to use the window unit and it was ok. Otherwise it was absolutely lovely!

Our big family has stayed in Salida often and Swallow House exceeded our expectations! Its prime location proved to be perfect for all our needs, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone. The spacious and well-appointed accommodations left no room for discomfort, providing our family with everything we could possibly require for a memorable stay. Swallow House truly enhanced our Salida getaway, making it a remarkable and satisfying retreat for all.

We had a wonderful stay- I would give an overall 5 star rating except that Salida can get warm during summer, and there were only 2 fans in property (no AC). The house was extremely hot in the afternoons/evenings when outside temps were 90-94° (it would cool down dramatically overnight, but was hot until after bedtime).
The host was very gracious, and ordered 2 more fans to be delivered via Amazon during our stay, which arrived on our next-to-last night.
Our only other minor issues were running out of TP, and the entrance was difficult to find in the dark when we arrived. There was construction to an outbuilding at back of property. The keypad instructions were given, but not that we would need to enter through a gate, not what the gate code would be, nor which side of property to find gate (we arrived at night, so was tough to see with insufficient lighting in alley).
Otherwise, this is an excellent property and is one of my favorite VRBO rentals thus far!!
The bedrooms were spacious, beds & pillows comfortable, bathrooms clean, great kitchen (!!), lovely front stoop/back patio/bedroom balcony.
We were within 3-5 min walk to the main shopping & eating area of Salida.
Also within walking distance to trails, River activities, and hiking/running trail up the mountain with the big “S.”
Love Salida, enjoyed this home very much, will definitely look to rent it again!

We loved this house and the location was perfect. Very spacious for our large family. We really enjoyed reading about the history of the house and the family, and appreciated the beautiful design of this old house. The house is very well stocked with extra bedding, space heaters, lots of kitchen supplies, towels, etc. We had everything we needed. It's a two minute walk to downtown shops and restaurants but it is not loud. About 25 min drive to monarch ski area. We had an awesome time. Thank you!!

Charming, spacious and super clean. We were four friends gathering to relax together, play a bit of bridge and enjoy some good meals. Sharon the host was easy to work and the home is every bit as charming as the photos. Great location, a short walk to restaurants.

We felt completely at home, welcomed, and comfortable here; every need was provided for, the house was well-stocked with every conceivable amenity, and the location was a perfect home base for our Salida vacation. This was an extremely charming, Historic and comfortable place with all of the amenities one would expect and more. The kitchen was especially well appointed, with absolutely everything one would need. The location was suburb and within easy walking distance of the historic downtown and riverwalk. Would definitely stay here again

This was such a great place to stay. The location couldn't be better and the unit is beautiful and full of interesting history. The outside patio is lovely, same with the 2 balconies and the front porch. I'd definitely stay here again!

This was my second time staying at this lovely historic home. I've done both winter and summer and they're both wonderful times to visit Salida. The home has everything you could need: stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, recreation toys, and incredibly proximity to downtown shops and restaurants. Thank you!

Charming historical home in THE BEST LOCATION!
This lovely duplex had all the amenities we needed, nice backyard appropriate for grilling. The location on F Street was just a few short blocks from downtown and across the street from the park. Perfect home for our get away ski weekend!!

The Swallow House in Salida was wonderful. I can highly recommend it.
The Swallow House is extremely comfortable, with all of the amenities one would expect, and more. The kitchen was especially well appointed, with so many extras, like all of the seasonings one would want to use for cooking, as well as plenty of dishes and cookware. The location is superb, close to the center of activities. I will most certainly return.

Best time ever!
We are two families that usually visit Colorado once a year. This is the first time in Salida and it was the best! The house was our favorite part! So clean and it had everything we needed. Such a wonderful time!

Great Salida Vacation
We've stayed at this property multiple times. Sharon is a great host and communicator! The property is in a great location across from a park our kids love to play at. It's a block away from Moonlight pizza and brewery, which we love, and a 3-4 blocks from downtown Salida (lots of restaurants, shops, and the river and the downtown park our kids really love). It's also a 25 min drive to Monarch mountain, which is great for family skiing.

Home Away from Home
This home was everything we expected and more. It was our home away from home the week of Thanksgiving. We prepared many meals in the well-stocked kitchen, including a Thanksgiving meal. We were walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and even a grocery store. Our highlights were the after-Thanksgiving activities that kicked off Christmas. The arcade was a big hit too. We had so much fun talking with the friendly locals. Salida is a very welcoming community. This beautiful and very comfortable home is the perfect spot to spend time in the heart of Salida.

Excellent location with an easy walk to Safeway and downtown shopping and eating. Beautiful home with everything you need for an incredible stay. Highly recommend and will stay again next year! Sharon and Amanda are great to work with-very attentive and prompt with communication!

Best house in Salida
We stayed with other couple friends while in town for a wedding. Other wedding guests stayed all over town and truly, we had the best place. Perfect location - walkable to town, off-street parking. Beautiful backyard patio to relax. Clean and well-stocked home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The Heart of Salida
My extended family and I rented the house for a week as a base camp for our jeeping and hiking excursions. The house is in the heart of downtown and steps a way from food, drink, music and shopping. The house itself is very well stocked and extremely charming and well taken care of. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to come to Salida.

Charming house with great location
Can’t imagine a better location in Salida - right on F Street but just outside the main drag. Loved being able to walk to everything. We had young kids, and it was also nice to be right across from a playground. Beautiful old house, tastefully appointed and well-equipped in the kitchen.

Holiday Stay
The proximity to the park was very convenient especially for our children. The proximity to downtown Salida made exploring a lot of fun. The space was really comfortable. The space heaters were really helpful. And our hosts’ recommendations were very helpful to avoid road closures and participate in local events. Overall, a very excellent stay.
