The house was perfect for our needs. Very close to Gualala which is nice for picking up groceries. Nice unobstructed meadow view of the ocean. A little bit older house than I’ve rented before at Sea Ranch but clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

An absolutely gorgeous house where we enjoyed nature at it’s most powerful. The Bluffs, with fantastic ocean views, has all the amenities for a very comfortable getaway, including a backup electric system. We very much appreciated this during the Atmospheric River storm. This place is a Sea Ranch gem! Absolutely perfect unobstructed views of the ocean from nearly every room, including the upstairs office where I could work and watch wildlife. Immediate access to trails. Best location to town as well with easy access to Trink’s and their delicious baked goods. Raspberry cream cheese scones are incredible. The home had a spacious and completely private outdoor area with a large hot tub that we used often. The bathrooms and kitchens were very well stocked and we especially appreciated all of the different coffee making options. I really enjoyed the Mokka pot. We will definitely make returns to Sea Ranch and hope to stay here again.

Great location, close to trail, Gualala point and Gualala. The house was very clean, fabulous kitchen with everything I needed and more, bed very comfortable, decor was top notch, great taste! The only drawback was the sitting room, small but comfortable. The host was very responsive if I had a question, super fast. Wish there was a binder with informations about the house and area. We loved our stay, it is truly a special place.

Excellent location, the home is fully equipped with everything one could need. Kitchen is fully stocked with top quality cookware and every utensil needed to make a chef feel right at home. Beds are very comfortable. Hot tub well maintained. Beautiful garden. Excellent privacy. The bluffs, beach, walking trails just outside the backdoor. Deer, hummingbirds, sea lions, whales, all just steps away. The sound of the ocean. Amazing property. Thanks again for our stay!

We were delighted with this home and its location. The views of the ocean are exceptional. The garden was in full bloom when we arrived. The entire property is carefully maintained, and the kitchen is well-stocked with various cooking supplies. The hot tub was beautiful, as well. This is my third stay at this property - and there are good reasons why I keep coming back!
When you go out the sliding glass doors in the back there is nothing between you and the bluffs over the ocean, just a walk of a minute or two across a field and you're there. Up the coast maybe half a mile there's a beach.
The house is very clean, with a large main bedroom that also has a long, very cozy cushioned window seat, so you can lay there and read while the sun sets over the ocean. The hot tub is large and well maintained. There is a propane grill in the patio. There are 3 TVs (up from 2 in previous visits) and you can get live broadcasts as well as numerous cable channels. I plug my Roku box into an HDMI input so I can get all my subscribed channels.
So this place really has it all ... well, almost has it all. One thing it lacks is a nice dining area. There is just a small round table, more like a breakfast nook really. There used to be a nice cafe-height table in the kitchen area but that is no longer there. So if you want to have a nice dinner party this might be a disappointment, but the table does look out on the fields and ocean, so it's not all bad.

We spent a very enjoyable week here. This was our first time to visit Sea Ranch. Property was very clean on check-in. Plenty of linens were available. Beds were very comfortable. Ocean views from every room in the house were wonderful. Even in the mirror of the master bathroom! The kitchen was well equipped. No need to bring any dishes, pans, knives, etc., from home. Large capacity washer and dryer was nice to have. Property included a very comfortable, well landscaped, enclosed patio. Location is excellent. Stores in Gualala are minutes away. Access to major trails is only yards from the patio door. We were able to step outside to the Bluffs Trail and watch the sunset every evening. In summary, we had a very comfortable and relaxing week at The Bluffs.

We had a great time starting at this sea ranch house. It is very well appointed and we had everything that we needed for a relaxing family weekend. We loved taking walks on the trail that runs parallel to the coast and can be accessed right from the back yard. The hot tub was nice for relaxing in the evening. The ocean view from the panoramic window in the master bed is just what we were looking for. The host was also very responsive. We would love to come back to this house again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in March with my wife and we were very happy with this property. The location was ideal for accessing the bluff trails and Gualala Point. We have been coming to the Sea Ranch area for about 10 years and this is one of the overall top houses we have rented here.
The house is very well maintained and the cleanliness is definitely the best we have enjoyed in Sea Ranch. The house looks to have been more recently updated inside than many of the Sea Ranch rentals. The kitchen has top end appliances and plenty of prep and work space. Everything functioned with no issues, including the outdoor grill and hot tub. The radiant floor heating was a nice feature. The bathrooms were large and very nicely done.
The views from the property are wide and unimpeded, and we were even able to see whale spouts from the living room and master bedroom seating area. There is also an upstairs viewing area and telescope but we were close enough to the water to see without it. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and there is very little foot traffic around the trail near the home and also at the bluff.
We also enjoyed the private courtyard and the little upstairs balcony, which both afforded a nice spot out of the wind, which can be typical this time of year at the coast. You get nice sunsets from this property as well.
We highly recommend staying here for a couples retreat and we would definitely book this property again without hesitation.

This is a magnificent house, beautifully decorated and appointed and brilliantly situated on the North end of Sea Ranch just steps from the coastal trail. There is nothing between you and the ocean. The coastal trail provides great walking and dramatic coastal views. Being at the north end of Sea Ranch, it's a short walk into Gualala State Park and the Gualala River beach. Gualala itself was a surprise: great art galleries, good shopping and eating (definitely try Trinks!). We will definitely return to this house. On clear nights, the sky is a mass of stars, with the Milky Way clearly visible. You could easily call this place Star Ranch.

We’ve been renting homes in Sea Ranch for 20+ years and we really enjoyed this stay. We love to cook, this kitchen was awesome, had everything we needed, variety of pans, SHARP knives, good space for prep. The views were incredible, had a humpback whale greet us on arrival, haven’t experienced that ever!! Also the golf course view out front was appreciated as we are golfers. Loved the wildlife, could set our watch by our fox visit each night. Very friendly raccoon wanted us to let him in on the first night, but we know better. Shame on anyone who encourages this. Jack rabbits, deer, lots of birds! Proximity to walking trail is great. Bed was super comfy, bathrooms terrific too. Loved the high speed internet. Bonus….all the interesting artifacts all over the house, seriously take the time to look around. Amazing! Lots of drawers and closet storage available too. Proximity to Gualala great for shopping. The cons, which are slight, but worth mentioning. No Ice maker, strange for a place so well appointed but if you know in advance, buy ice. Last and this is just a personal preference, we didn’t find the living room/kitchen furniture comfy. We are middle aged, so we’d love a more comfy couch, even a recliner love seat, and the high table in the kitchen was awkward. The chairs were great, but seating didn’t quite work. We’d rent again, we loved it that much!

We spent 3 nights here to celebrate my guy’s birthday. It was perfect for just the two of us. Kitchen is well appointed, beds are very comfy, ability to do a load of towels after using the spa was great. So close to the walking trail along the bluffs too! The friendly raccoon visitor, Bandit, means business about getting to snacks so beware leaving ANY window open in the evenings (even with a screen on it). He was super cute and we loved his visits- but he did manage to steal our loaf of ciabatta bread while we were in the spa not paying attention! We’ll definitely be back!

We have stayed at many homes at Sea Ranch over the years and this home is in the top 5. Instructions for our arrival were clear and easy. We contacted the owner on a minor issue and he responded quickly. Wi-Fi was great, jacuzzi great, both beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the BBQ was clean and worked well. They had backup BBQ gas canister. The neighborhood was quite. We saw a fox in the yard a couple days. The fox even hopped over a busy in the yard. Nice home. Good experience.

Loved our stay at The Bluffs
Great spot and amenities to enjoy our anniversary. The telescope was very helpful while we watched the super blood moon eclipse. Trail down the the beach offered a nice nature walk and we saw lots of wildlife including a happy looking harbor seal, some kind of owl, deer, rabbits, and even Bandit the Racoon who definitely does patrol the area nightly. Overall great experience.

Unique Sea Ranch House
We stayed four nights at "The Bluffs at Sea Ranch". The waves were angry on the day we hiked the trail. We could spend all day just listening and watching for the big one to arrive and crash against the rocks. For those interested, there is a beach available where you can make driftwood art or sculptures.
The pictures posted on the website are accurate. The house floor plan is original with a unique design. The cooking area/dining/sitting is in one room. Sometimes we ate off the high red table (kitchen island) sitting on the bar stools or at the round table with the drapes open. Cooking was easy, wonderful All Clad stainless cookware that was clean and ready to use. Once I knew the cookware was to be handwashed, I brought my kitchen gloves.
The radiant floor heater makes the house very comfortable.
If you like a peaceful and quite place, the upstairs bedroom has a wonderful window seat to just relax and look out at the ocean. The room is large with the bathroom two steps down. Our night-lite came in handy.
The house is decorated with artifacts and antiques. We found ourselves just looking around the house at the many items and trying to guess where they came from (how about those Masks?). Thank you for sharing your house. It was a fun vacation at The Bluffs!

We spent an amazing four nights at this property which we have stayed at multiple times before. We had perfect weather, Sea Ranch was as quiet as ever and we also enjoyed pickle ball and lap swimming. The house is clean, the beds are comfortable the view of the ocean from the kitchen amazing. We highly recommend this place!

Very comfortable. accessible and cheerful house. Kitchen is well equipped and bedrooms and baths were clean and very useable.

Even though the house has two bedrooms and two full baths it would have been a tight squeeze for two couples given that there really was not a separate living room and the sitting area was small.
All in all it was great for my husband and I and we would definitely rent it again.
