The cottage is absolutely lovely, the property beautiful, the host superb! Communication was excellent throughout our stay. I fell and broke my leg on our travels and David was very accommodating and very concerned. Ted and Jake, two pups on the farm, made our stay even more special. Highly, highly recommend a stay here!

I can't even describe how beautiful this cottage and surrounding area was. Comfortable, old style feel with all the modern amenities. David was a delight to deal with and Adare is beautiful and a five minute drive away - I would recommend this cottage 100 percent. Hopefully we can go back some day.

We needed two bedrooms with bathrooms ensuite plus a kitchen and separate sitting room. The set up we had was perfect for our two couples. Adare is delightful and well situated for sightseeing with choices of eatries. Our host David was great and so was his mother who came to visit. All in all it was just what we wanted and what we got.

Picture turning down a private, crushed gravel lane lined with hedges and pastures. Its just you, a cozy stone cottage, gardens and sky set back in the pasture with a forest behind that. Life slows down here. Breathe and let the cutest pair of Corgi pups come up to greet you on this 140 acre working farm. Start a log in the fireplace and have a cup of tea. This place is so secluded, we never touched our door keys the entire time we were in residence. In reality, you're just a few miles to Adare. 18 minutes from Limerick, but to you... you've just stepped through time and gone back to a simplier life long ago. I have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years, and I can honestly say, this is my #1 choice. You will become part of the family once you meet Joan, and son, David. They are attentive, willing to help you navigate how things work in the cottage and in Ireland in general. They're just a call away, or you may see them out and about working the farm. After staying 8 days with my Mother and Daughter in Ireland, and driving through Cork, Limerick, Lahinch, Dingle and Dublin, all three of us agreed on our favorite memory of our time in Ireland. It was enjoying cheese, port, sausage and fruit in the front garden outside the stone barn. How extraordinary! We had kissed the Blarney Stone, done a Dingle ocean safari, walked the Cliffs of Moher, done all the big tours in Dublin, and still - a quiet evening of sipping port outside, soaking up the blue sky view of the stone barn and adjascent thatched house had won the prize. Adare is lovely town and this cottage was a wonderful place to stay. Close to town and comfortable. Joan and David were so welcoming, fresh scones waiting and quick responses if we needed anything. We loved it!

WOW!!! Don't miss the opportunity to stay at this property. Joan, David, and Michael are the ultimate hosts. My husband and I felt very welcome and totally at home. The property is comfortable, clean, delightfully furnished, well stocked and overall perfect. We will be back The location is perfect. It is out of the village but close enough to go into Adare in a couple of minutes. Adare is a beautiful town and is a great location to venture out for day trips. Thanks to Joan, Michael and David for making our stay so special.

The property was perfect for us. Everything in the house was as it was shown in the photos and the location was fabulous, so peaceful. On our arrival everything was ready and the host Joan had left us some lovely homemade cupcakes, which were delicious. Both David & Joan couldn’t have been more welcoming. The house is very well equiped, with plenty of crockery and kitchen utensils. Adare village is very close by with a good supermarket and shops. Limerick city is just a short drive and the location is good for day trips to Kerry or Clare. I would definitely recommend.

We stayed for a week at this property while my daughter was settling in to residence in Limerick. We felt like we were at home! The people were so helpful and friendly, the charm and character of the building was like nothing we have stayed in before. I would highly recommend this relaxing location for anyone visiting the area.

Our family was blown away with this light-filled incredibly comfortable space. The hosts stunning artwork makes the interior so beautiful. Our children loved running around and exploring the gorgeous property. We had such a restful and relaxing stay and will treasure our time here. Thanks to our lovely hosts!

The Barn is beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable. The farm setting is so relaxing and tranquil. It’s a quick 5 minute drive into Adare and close to Limerick. Highly recommend. Thanks to all the Toomey family for a wonderful stay.

I give this 10 out of 5 stars!! I can’t even imagine a better experience than this cottage. Out in the country, quiet, quant, and central to a lot of amazing attractions. The hosts were more than hospitable and great to be around. I cannot wait to come back!!

We spent a week here and had a great stay. Joan was a lovely and attentive host. The location is beautiful. It's very private and remote, yet under 10 minutes to Adare and 15 to Limerick. It's an actual working farm/ranch and you can walk the grounds at your leisure.

Cottage is located well for touring the southwest, we visited cork, Kerry, Clare and Galway during our week. The local village of Adare is so lovely also. Super place to stay, would defo return!
