Everything went smooth, had no problems getting into the house. We were hardly at the house during the day. They area is quite.

It was all top notch, everything you needed and not junk items all the way to the towels. Our family of 9 had 0lenty of room and very comfy inside not to mention the huge covered deck and fire pit, would recommend this place as well as stay there again myself.

We love staying at Hill Top Haven. It is clean and maintained and has everything we needed for our week at the lake. Our family looks forward to staying here every year.

We really enjoyed our stay. We brought our jet ski's and enjoyed three days on the water. We really liked the beach area. The home was comfortable and the AC was perfect after 100 degree weather outside.

Hill Top Haven has everything you could possibly need. Very warm and inviting ... Kelly the Host, not so much! Be sure Vrbo and Host contact you days before your stay to confirm your reservation and get Door Code, because phone service very spotty and panic will set in quickly.

We loved this cabin! Very clean exactly as the pictures showed. Kelly was very helpful and the lake was beautiful. Thank you so much,we would definitely come back and stay.

Since it was winter we didn’t get to enjoy the lake amenities but the home is well stocked and beautifully decorated in an antique country motif. The basement space is rustic and adds extra gathering space. Having an extra refrigerator was a real bonus. We celebrated Christmas with family, and while the weather kept some away, it was a great place for us to share.

We stayed over the Christmas weekend and spent Christmas there as one big family. There was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was a good size for everyone to work around in and the living room and dining room areas were great for hanging out in. We did have some concerns slash suggestions but nothing majorly bad or wrong with the property. First, there was limited seating around the dining room table and not enough chairs for us. You might look in to keeping some folding chairs in the closet? Second, the beds in the top floor bedrooms were pretty high off the floor, our older parents had a little trouble with that but it worked out. They were very comfortable beds from what they said! Overall, great place to stay, especially if you are looking for a lake house. The basement area was really cool and personalized! Last suggestion we had was to keep a guest book for visitors to sign once they leave. This is the first rental we’ve had where there wasn’t one and we always enjoy writing a thoughtful nice message to the property owners at the end of our stay, I’m sure others would enjoy that too. Thank you again for being such good hosts and thank you for allowing us to stay in your guys house!

we found the house cozy and warmly decorated. All supplies were provided as indicated, kitchen well stocked. Plenty of room for the six of us and our dogs. Only negative was the weather (but this is November afterall) - we had hoped to use the firepit to roast marshmallows and cook hotdogs. But great that there was a grill for us to use. Boys and their dad enjoyed wal to the lake - finding neat rocks.

What an charming lake house! The back deck with all the cozy chairs and ceiling fan was incredible. The walk down to the lake was short. The kitchen had everything you could need. Comfy beds. The kids loved swimming in the lake!

It was such a great place to stay! The house had everything we needed! We really enjoyed our time there! Lots of room - we were able to relax and really enjoy our weekend. We would rent this again!!

I will preface my comments by saying the property overall was clean though I did some scrubbing in the fridge prior to putting my food in it. Didn't have the best start when the door keylock didn't work. We tried for 30 minutes in excessive heat to gain entry before we were able to get inside. I expected (my mistake) a lake view which we didn't have. Our goal was to swim & fish off the dock. Make sure you have water shoes to swim it was so muddy - my husband cut his foot on the side of the dock. I didn't take first aid because I read it was available in the house - never did find even a band aid. Understandably, the property is well water which I've lived with before. We smelled sewage in the water from faucets. Owners reported it was sulfur which I've also lived with but it didn't smell like sulfur to the 3 adults that stayed. Nothing we could do about that though I did boil water before making iced tea. Our 16 yr old grandson slept w/his mother & 7 yr old brother in a full bed because both boys refused to sleep downstairs. Oh, the nice grill pictured didn't work. Couldn't get the knobs to adjust. Did get a small flame in the back wall of grill which isn't conducive for grilling steaks. The property was decorated in a very cute manner & the kitchen offered almost every appliance one would want. I'm not accustomed to writing a negative review & gave myself a couple weeks cooling off period prior to doing so. It didn't help the day we got home the price was dropped $30 nightly. This is the 1st time we've used a 3rd party rental & quite possibly may be the last.

They only down fall was THE DOCK!!! That sucked big time. If I had know the dock was not accessible we wouldn't have chosen this place we had to swim out and pull our self up on the dock causing cuts and bruising, Very hard for the little one and my father. The neighbor was very rude about us using his dock and would not let us use it. commenting that it is a shame that the owner will not/ has not fixed it. Other then that the stay was wonderful! very clean and beautiful home. If dock was fixed I would go back.

This was the perfect lake house! The back deck was the spot to hang out. My friends and I wanted a quiet weekend away to relax and recharge, and Kelly’s lake house was absolutely wonderful! Kelly was prompt to answer any questions, and helped add to our delightful time. Amazing!

Nice property; insufficient vehicle parking (3 cars max and they should be small, not full size or just 2 pick ups). Access to the lake from the house (which is more 3rd tier) requires a moderately steep long walk. Have cleaning crew clean under sofa and chair cushions in upstairs living room. Key pad and entry code did not work and required an actual key and a call to the property manager.

Cute place to get away from everything. Temperature was moderate and rainy during our stay - and the wrap around porch was our favorite hang out. A small grocery store is conveniently located nearby so you can stock up on all the essentials there. We didn't plan well and arrived hungry and weren't able to find a restaurant nearby but just made a quick run to the grocery and were able to get what we needed for our stay. Fun little getaway with lots of personality.

We had a nice relaxing wonderland time! We had pets, kids, adults, and the house accommodated us all!! This house was fully stocked with everything you could think of!! We have stayed in places before that cost more to stay and didn't have so much as a kitchen towel, and 2 rolls of TPaper. My mom was impressed and let me tell you that says something. The only thing I would say and it has nothing to do with the house, is I wish you were able to drive down closer to the water cause the walk back up the hill with all our coolers, beach bags, etc. at the end of the day sucks!! So for the inconciterate people who made it so there is no longer a golf cart to use just take a second next time and think of your elders who could really use something like that. My folks worked hard all their lives as we all do, and their bodies hurt at the end of the day, so don't always take things to far and ruin it for everyone else. Comunication will the host was very quick and helpful. We have been renting lake houses now for several years and this is the first one I've ever wanted to go back to, it's everything I wanted!!

Great vacation home! It was a perfect house to rent and it accommodated our family with plenty of room and an easy walk to the dock and beach area! We would definitely rent this house again! Super cute and clean!

Great stay.

Stay was very nice. Seen a couple thing that needed improvement. Left a note with suggestions on it at home on table. Enjoyed the house, it was clean, comfortable. Had everything we needed. Small but still roomy. Only complaint i had was the parking and neighbors were very rude and inconsiderate. One was outside complaining loudly about someone leaving trash in her trash can outside. Another neighbor yelling having a dispute very loudly. Husband couldnt enjoy the deck quietly because of the fighting. Just think if they want your tenant's to respect their homes with parking, they need to respect your tenants by not disturbing the peace. Other then that our week was great..

With a group of 10 adults, there was plenty of space for everyone. We hung out on the deck the majority of the time during our stay, the weather was beautiful! Due to lack of time, we didn’t end up using the fire pit, but it looked great. A few down sides, but not deal breaking, closeness of neighbors and lack of yard space by the house, even though we would have preferred something a little more secluded we really enjoyed our stay and would rent again in the future. Thank you for a relaxing weekend getaway!

We loved watching the deer bedded down in the back yard. The house was so cute. Next time I will bring a sign to add to your collection. The only thing wrong was under the couch cushion was so dirty we couldn't use the hide-a-bed. If I had a shop vac I would have cleaned it. When cleaning I would check those cushions. Other than that the everything about our stay was perfect!

The house has everything you would ever need. The inside decor makes it very homey. We enjoyed our short holiday away from home with a small group of family. Everyone had their own space and place. It was awesome. Thank you!

This house was more than we ever imagined. All you really need to pack is your clothes, food and trash bags.. The beds were like sleeping on clouds, best sleep some had had in days. The neighbors are all amazing as well. We can't wait to come back.

House was perfect for our trip. We were attending races at Lucas Oil Speedway. Great back deck, spacious kitchen with everything needed for preparing meals. Plenty of room for parking, A/C worked great. Beds slept great and there was plenty of room...Direct TV provided great assortment of channels...would highly reccomend for your stay.

The house was very nice and we were happy with our choice. If you sleep downstairs, you hear a lot of foot noise from upstairs and from the mechanical systems for the house but it’s a basement so not unexpected. We had a great stay.

This was a complete rip off. We had been advised that the dock had been torn off in “flat line winds” and that repair was hopeful before we arrived, but we weren’t able to use it and were not afforded anything as a result for an amenity we expected to receive. Boat or not, we expected and compensated for a useable dock. The "lane" to the COE area was eroded into ruts and the well water stank metallically to shower in. The house was “broom” clean but the oven was gross as well as the floor of the shower in the lower level bathroom- see the October 2018 review. The refrigerator had remnants of food from previous stays. Blenders were dirty and sticky especially around the control buttons- we didn't use them. The outdoor propane grill was not clean enough to be used for grilling, and the controls didn't work. I shook out the inside doormat at the front door- it and all other inside rugs were filthy. Before arriving, I had inquired about what to do with linens when we left and was instructed to “just leave the linens on the beds that you have slept in and throw towels down by the washer.” Evidently this has been going on since the Oct 2018 review. The outdoor trash can was already halfway full and stinking when we arrived and remained that way, making it difficult to add our trash upon leaving. My vrbo August 6 email trip summary shows “check-out instructions” of noon. The owner’s reasoning for keeping any of my deposit: "Reduction of deposit amount because check out was an hour late and an extra cleaner had to be called in order to get laundry/linens cleaned for new rental check in at 4." Keeping ANY of my deposit and hiring “extra” cleaners to wash linens before the next arrival does NOT increase the speed of any washer or dryer. It’s insult to injury and simply punishment. We have AT&T and 6-month-old cell phones, but cell phone service and internet was unavailable at the house itself. The last day as we were cleaning, we found a playing card with the WiFi access code written on it on the floor underneath the kitchen counter. The Oct 2017 review shows that the owner has known about lack of service yet still tried to contact me this way, to no avail. Thankfully there were no emergencies. Never again.
