Great property and location - loved the UTV trails and excellent area for some of the best food we've ever had! Michael & Tori were so awesome to work with - we will return again :)

Sanctuary Shores was well beyond anything we could wish for! Tori was extremely kind, patient, and generous of heart. The cabin/home was huge and yet still cozy. Plenty of space for large family vacations & yet still quiet spaces to unplug. It was impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, & had touches of coastal and northwoods charm. An impressive stone fireplace surrounded by comfy, gorgeous furniture to sink into...with expansive windows to enjoy Lake Michigan's beauty. A generous sized deck with a large, pretty dining set & lounging chairs..the lake just steps away. At night, whether on the deck or seated comfortably by the shore, the stars are truly breathtaking. There is also a large firepit by the shore..hearing the rhythmic waves while gathered 'round a fire is a wonderful way to catch up with friends & family. A large side yard was perfect for the croquet set..what fun! The garage has Foosball, air hockey, darts, etc. Rainy days won't dampen spirits at Sanctuary Shores! The kitchen is so well equipped! Top of the line appliances, earth-tone slate counter tops, and pretty white cabinets FULL of everything you could ever possibly need. A luxurious jacuzzi tub in the downstairs bathroom..with candles for relaxing ambiance. Upstairs, a large shower with a seat. The Bunk room & Lake room are perfect for children or teenagers. Vintage toys, games, & plenty of movies to watch. The guest cottage is lovely..perfect for those wanting privacy. We didn't want to leave!

Beautiful log home on a huge piece of property right by the "Big Water" (Green Bay)! I've been coming to this area for over 50 years now and never get tired of it. This is my third time staying at Sanctuary Shores and I definitely will be back! P.S. The hosts are awesome!

We were so blown away by this gorgeous property. Everyone in our party of 11, from the youngest to the oldest had a fantastic time. We thought we'd be taking lots of day trips around the area to explore but we actually spent most of our time enjoying the cabin! Every bed/sleeping space was comfortable, the kitchen was better stocked than mine at home, the beach is private, we never saw another soul. We appreciated that it was dog-friendly, stocked with indoor and outdoor games, and close to lots of attractions (not that we needed them!). The hosts were so responsive and awesome to work with. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed the cabin's spacious living area, big deck and large kitchen. The view and privacy are unmatched. The owners were attentive and provided clear communication.

My family and I have had an emotional year especially after losing my father unexpectedly. Being able to vacation here with our best friends, Godson, and children was just a blessing! Our son is autistic and has a lot of sensory needs and this home was a home away from home for him. The property owners were amazing at communication and we look forward to future stays there!

This rental was beyond expectations, the scenery, the location, and the outdoors all wrapped up in one great place to stay. My brother who was the bachelor and the rest of the groomsmen all loved this cabin. And the amazing fishing in the Michigan upper peninsula area was fantastic as well. If I ever go back to upper Michigan again this will be my Go-To place to stay!

We highly recommend staying at Sanctuary Shores, the property was amazing, extremely quiet and serene. The cabin was very clean, roomy and spacious and had everything one would need for their stay. We heard loons and had deer visit. We enjoyed being able to get down to the Lakeshore. Our family made lots of memories at the cabin and as we ventured to numerous sites within driving distance from the cabin. Great place and hope to visit again !

We stayed at this cabin for a long weekend, our 8th visit! I'm pleased to report that Tori and Michael have made many upgrades in the last couple of years - both large and small, all of which have elevated the experience quite a bit. From new kitchen cabinets to updated light fixtures, and power outlets with USB -and- USB-C ports... it's a great place to stay in the summer or winter! Highly recommend, and I'm sure we'll be back.

We spent a week enjoying this lovely place!! Our whole family enjoyed playing foos ball, darts, making puzzles and playing games! There was plenty of room and accommodations for everyone! Lots of extras such as table and chairs, movies galore, chess and checkers! Everything was well kept and very clean, you could not ask for more! I also have to mention how nice it was to be able to bring our dogs and the basket of treats and toys they had for them plus doggie dishes!! I can not say enough great things about this experience! We will definitely be back!!

I spent a great new year weekend catching up with friends. 10/10 would recommend.

We have stayed at this property several years for deer hunting. It’s a fantastic spot and well kept. We have already booked for next year.

Great experience, wonderful property

Our stay at Sanctuary Shores was great, the property was clean and well stocked. I had seen in earlier reviews that there was a need for kindling to start fires in the fireplace so I brought some along as well as an axe. I think it is worth noting that the owners took note of the need and fulfilled it for future guests. There was a supply of kindling and fire starters to make fire starting a breeze. They have also added a really cool new grate to the fireplace, I had not seen one like that before, but if you follow the directions provided it worked - great. If you are considering staying here you will not be disappointed. Enjoy. Bill

This was a perfect cabin for our vacation. Beautiful and scenic property on the lake provides for a great place to stay and recharge. Multiple amenities give you plenty of activity options, from walking on the lake front to reading in a hammock. Owners were responsive and paid attention to details.

Mini vacation with daughter, sister and brother in law - all coming from different directions and meeting in common spot. Loved the way the cabin was set up - plenty of space and beds for all, never on top of each other. Large backyard to run around and play in. My dog Elmo loved it - hosts even left dog treats! Nice lake view - there was a steep drop off to get to the lake - there was a ladder to help people down but too high a jump for my dog and ladder was a little scary for "old people" with creaky knees. Hubby and brother-in-law made it down and went metal detecting - found alot of metal! Fall colors were beautiful - drove into Escanaba and other small towns - close to cabin. Too chilly out at night so used the inside fireplace in the evening. Hosts supplied everything we needed for our stay - towels, blankets, kitchen pots/pans/utensils - big fridge/dishwasher (that beeped if they weren't fully closed!) It was casual and homey - just what we were looking for. Phoned the host with a few questions which they promptly answered. Alot of privacy - yes there were a couple other homes around but rarely saw anyone else. All beds were comfortable (even the bunk bed my sister ended up sleeping on). Would love to come here again when the weather is nicer.

Very much enjoyed our stay and proactive communication from owner. Great property in a great location. Nice Bosch appliance kitchen. Baking of fun food and desserts is a stress relieving, enjoyable activity for us on vacation away from normal crazy busy life. Found everything we needed in the kitchen to accommodate our leisure passion. Furniture all appropriate and comfortable including beds. Loved the hammock outside! Loved, loved the fireplace and used it every day. Lots of nice games in the garage. Beautiful sunrise with coffee every morning!

We had such a wonderful time! The house and property were just beautiful! The home is well stocked and very comfortable. The owners were very accommodating. We would love to come back for another relaxing vacation.

We had a great stay here. We were on a golf outing and this was the perfect place for us. You just can't beat the lake front property and the deck overlooking the lake. Absolutely beautiful. Plus, the property owners, Michael and Tori, were amazingly responsive to questions both on the property and on the amenities in the area. We had a wonderful experience.

Overall a great experience. Would definitely recommend. Wish there was another bathroom with a shower.

This property is amazing. The house has space for EVERYONE! We had 6 adults, 4 children, and 1 baby. The loft had a perfect cove for the pack and play which allowed the baby to nap but muted the sound in the main living area. The kids were all able to hang out in the bunk house and garage, which is actually completely separate from the main house. There are essentially 2 wings to the house, plus the extra cabin. We spent most of our trip outside because the weather was PERFECT. We saw lots of shooting stars and the moon was BEAUTIFUL! We traveled to a zoo that wasn't too far and there was a beach just up the street with lots of sand! We had to contact the owners due to a leak in the ceiling and they responding right away and had someone out to fix it in an hour. They communicated very efficiently and quickly with us which was very much appreciated. Michael even went as far as to call us to apologize for any inconvenience that the leak may have caused, which was soo nice and very appreciated. They really wanted us to have an amazing time at their property, which of course, WE DID!! Thank you Tori and Michael!

10 of us and our dog had a wonderful time at this great lake home. Good layout and very comfortable with many sources of entertainment: tvs, indoor and outdoor games, well stocked with towels and kitchen items. Great lake view and and nature watching.. Also very close to beaches and parks. Thank you for your hospitality!

Relaxing stay on the lake!

We rented the lake house in honor of my father's passing. The house was amazing! Great views and lots of space. The owners are friendly and very helpful

The view at this property is just stunning, looking east over Lake Michigan. Watching the full moon rise and seeing the full lunar eclipse was great. It is so quiet and peaceful. Tori and Michael are great hosts.

We stayed here for a few days as a cozy winter getaway, and it did not disappoint. Beautiful night stars, great view during the day even when the Lake is frozen. Cabin had everything we needed, well stocked from a kitchen perspective as well as the essentials (shovels, salt, brooms, towels, pillows, blankets). King bed in the loft was comfy. Tori and Michael go the extra step to make sure guests feel like it is their own. We loved being able to build a cozy fire and watch a movie. Can't wait to come back and enjoy in the summer!

Words cannot adequately describe how amazing this cabin is. Not only was it impeccably clean, but every detail and necessity is covered. The owners were readily available via text and phone to answer any questions and had wonderful recommendations. The cabin is at the end of an already very private street so you will feel as though you are off on your own. The main cabin is open, well appointed and has a phenomenal view of Lake Michigan from the wall of windows. Watching the snow fall on the lake while sitting by a roaring fire with our little ones contentedly playing some of the provided board games nearby is something I will always remember. And the best part…there is an entire other “wing” to the cabin! The lake view room is cozy and relaxing and connects the main cabin to the bunk room which was a huge hit with our kids. My husband and I could easily be in the main cabin by the fireplace while our little ones were in the other wing close enough to feel safe but far enough to feel like it was just the two of us. And they LOVED having a “kids only” space as well as the game room in the garage. This was a fantastic rental for our family of four (well 5 including our dog), but we hope to come back with another family in the near future. There was so much to do at the cabin that we never even left the property but the surrounding area looked gorgeous and there were many options for groceries on the drive in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Our stay was booked as a surprise weekend getaway for my husband’s birthday. I was looking for someplace quiet where he could find a cozy reading spot, take as many naps as he wanted, and rejuvenate. This property turned out to be the perfect spot to do just that! The kitchen is loaded, so you can even cook a gourmet meal if you’d like. The view of the lake can’t be accurately described with words — it needs to be experienced. Our favorite moments were our evenings spent watching movies in front of the roaring fireplace while the snow fell outside the enormous windows. There was even a basket of dog toys, blankets, and treats for our dogs. Tori was quick to respond to any questions and offered helpful suggestions. She is thoughtful, kind, and an absolutely wonderful host to book with. Thanks for a memorable, magical, Hallmark-like birthday weekend!
