Unfortunately we arrived days after hurricane for our trip and didn’t get to enjoy the amenities of the facility but we made best of it in our beautiful condo for week! You won’t be disappointed to stay here! Property manager was responsive and easy to work with!

Smokers Beware - there is absolutely no smoking on the property - you have to actually walk out the gates and stand on the road. This is something that should have been made known beforehand, we had 2 smokers in our group and having to stand on the side of a busy road was not only humiliating, but it is also dangerous. A small area outside the front entrance would be so easy to provide. There are A LOT of rules - 3 pages worth, and the staff are everywhere to ensure enforcement. However, the property is beautiful, the staff are helpful and friendly. Indoor pool was a saving grace when it rained the first day. Everyone enjoyed the Game Room with free video games, pinball, pool, shuffleboard and foosball. Direct Beach Access, walking distance. The pools and lazy river were totally fantastic. The pool bar was only open for a few hours on Saturday, but that was fine as they do not allow you to bring your own drinks when it's open. The condo was comfortable and clean and had most everything you need. The view was spectacular! Suggestion - a pair of utility scissors would be nice.

This was a darling condo just outside of the action. We slept amazing and the kids each had their own rooms. We loved the view even through the rainy weather! I also loved the covered parking and felt very secure.

The property was really nice. There is so much to do. Everyone had a wonderful time. We used the indoor heated pool, the game room, the lazy river, the patio grills and the outdoor hot tubs. It's was all great.

Beautiful condo complex. All ages enjoyed the pools and lazy river. The condo itself was very nice but does have lots of antiques which may not be appropriate for younger children. Gorgeous view from the balcony!

We had an absolute amazing vacation. The condo is better then even the pictures show. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rain head shower head in the main bathroom was great after a day in the pool or at the beach. The amenities are beyond what we expected. The lazy river is huge and the swimming pool is huge and shaded nicely in the afternoons. Both my kids loved the game room and the kids play room. The resort is a nice location, not in the hustle of everything but close enough for not a long drive or Uber ride. We went to the beach only once because there is so much other stuff to do, the walk to the beach was easy and close by and the beach was very clean and nice. We can not wait to go back again.

This was our first time in Galveston, so I wasn't sure where to stay. I spent a lot of time looking online for a place, and am happy with my decision. The resort is right at the end of a long sea wall. Thankfully, there is access to the beach without having to cross very busy Sea Wall Blvd. The beaches aren't as pretty as in Florida, but I enjoyed walking on the beach in the mornings. We ended up spending most of our time at the pools and hot tubs, which were very nice. The theater room was fun to use--just reserve it ahead of time, and your family has it to yourselves! The games in the game room are mostly broken, but we did have fun using the shuffleboard table. The staff members at the front desk are very friendly, and were helpful in answering all of our questions. There is no longer any food or beverage services at the resort, but the grocery stores and restaurants aren't far. There is also a liquor and convenience store right across the street behind the resort. The unit itself was nicer than in the photos. It was clean, and had pretty much everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. I could sit on the balcony all day and listen to the waves. The furniture wasn't the most comfortable, but we survived. Also, the water takes a few minutes to heat up, so you just have to be a little patient. Overall, we had a great time, and would stay here again if we come back to Galveston.

What an amazing resort and great condo too. Fantastic Gulf view from condo. So many amenities at the resort. There is a large pool with cascading water, 2 hot tubs, lazy river, heated indoor pool, 35 person theater (that you can reserve just for your family) and a great game room where games were free.
Our stay at the condo was great. The master bedroom and bathroom were very well set up. Huge shower in master bath with a rain shower head and regular shower head. The Jacuzzi tub was a plus too.
All beds were super comfy. Other two bedrooms were nicely set up to. No windows in bedrooms but that just made sleeping even better because of the darkness. We really enjoyed all the unique decorations too.
Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the view and each other too.
Brooke was so responsive and really went out of her way to give us info or respond to our questions.
We would definitely like to come back here again.

Our condo was excellent and our host Brooke was the best! We had a power outage due to transformers being replaced; the front desk and our host both notified us that the outage would occur. It was a lovely vacation!

Disappointed that there were two hot tubs and neither one were heated. The condo really needs some updates. The bedding was in poor condition and when we stripped the beds when we left the mattresses were all stained although they were comfy. The kitchen and living room furniture is antique which i guess you can see from the photos, but very uncomfortable for sitting. the outdoor cushions have mildew/mold. Sorry but I will find other accommodation's if I return to Galveston.

We loved our stay so much we are planning to come back next summer to enjoy the beautiful pool, lazy river and slide. Weather was too cold and cannot wait to return. My grandkids had a blast in the indoor pool, game room and movie room. The entire complex was amazing!

The property was excellent, the condo not so much and when I got hold of the property manager about a problem she actually said she would return my money and I could stay somewhere else. The Armoire in the master bedroom will not open, it doesn't have any handles on it and also the shower has no hot water (I didn't even let her know about that after the way I was treated about the Armoire.

First, we were greeted by a HUGE cockroach in the kitchen. Water in the master bath never got hot, we couldn't shower or use the tub. The duvet covers, throw pillows and headboards were filthy.
The facility was very nice, lots to do and accommodating, but our room was yucky.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay. We have stayed at several properties on the island, this was our favorite. The Condo is spacious and as described in previous reviews. We took a chance and are pleased with the facility and the Condo. The owner was quick to respond with a couple of minor concerns and the property manager was responsive and accommodating with our concerns as well. The lazy river was being painted and closed for several days and this was unacceptable. After speaking with the property manager and the owner the situation was resolved and we were very pleased. The pools and the lazy river are clean and so lovely. The property is well kept and compares nicely with the San Louis without all the crowd. Often, we were the only people around. Going in September is a bonus.
We purchased ice as the ice maker was not working, we had pretty much everything we needed in the kitchen. We did bring our own paper towels and paper plates. There is only one television but watching the sunset is much better than TV any day. The balcony view was perfect and it was nice not to have road noise.

Overall a Good Stay
The property was listed accurately, overall we had a good stay. Give yourself extra time to get checked in and familiar with the resort. Once you do it's a great place, just a little hard to navigate at first. Wonderful pool and lazy river area. The adults loved it as much as the kids.

Great Condo, Location and Amenities needs basic maintenance
We loved the view, the Diamond Beach Amenities and proximity to the beach. Overall this was a great value. Kids loved the lazy river, hot tubs, and indoor and outdoor pools. The water slide was never running and swim up bar was not open during our stay. We didn't use the game room or spa due to great outdoor activities. Walking straight to the beach was great and they had a hose to get sand off everything. I really liked that the complex was at the end of the seawall so we did not need to cross a busy street to get to the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to get some extra bands for guests to use the amenities. There was an 8 person limit for this size condo, including our family.
The 3 bedroom condo was great for our needs. All the kids got their own bed. Having 2 showers was nice after the beach. There was enough seating for us plus hosting guests. The seating could be a little more comfortable.
The condo needs some basic maintenance that would take this from good to great. Ice maker isnt working, light bulbs need to be changed, running toilet should be fixed. The nest temperature kept changing the temperature on us also. Most nights it ended up too cold, one night it was too warm.

Galveston 2022
This was our 4th family trip to Diamond Beach in Galveston. This unit was nice, clean and comfortable. We did have to go out and buy wash clothes because there were only 3 available and we are a family of 8 members. Other than missing amenities that were available in other units (wash clothes, start of paper towels, extra trash bags), it was very nice accommodations. We would stay here again, the missing amenities were a quick fix with a trip to near by Walmart. Diamond Beach resort is starting to show its age and it doesn’t appear maintenance is occurring. For example, most of the games in the game room are not working. We still love this location as a family retreat.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Chocolate Diamond Resort. The 3 bedroom 2 bath condo was perfect for our stay at Galveston. The property owner responded quickly to my messages. We will be returning to Diamond Beach Condos next year!

Enjoyable time!
My family of 8 (2 grandparents, 2 teenagers, 2 kids 5&7 and my husband and I) had a great time at this property. The condo was bigger than we expected and was perfect for us. Brooke was very responsive to us when we had questions about the WiFi. The property itself was great! From the cascading pools to hot tubs and lazy river to the game room (which all ages enjoyed) movie theater and beach area…we were always busy doing something. Unfortunately the power was out for most of the second day due to a storm the night before and a clay shingle fell off the roof and hit our car shattering our windshield the morning before we left. Management was very responsive and is going to cover all expenses and offed to put us up another night if needed. All of this was completely out of their control but they handled it well
Overall we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next time we can get away for some Island Time!

We loved every minute of our stay here! The amenities are exceptional (FYI, the outdoor pools were not heated) - we enjoyed the movie theatre, the game room, the lazy river, the pool, and more! The unit itself was great, and Brooke was incredibly responsive. If we ever come to Galveston again, we’d definitely stay here!

Great condo
We have come to this property several times & tried different condos here. This stay was great, as usual. Had one problem with a light not working in the extra bedroom when we arrived but the owner was very responsive & fixed right away. Will be back. So much to do without even leaving the premises! Will definitely be back.
