We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was remote and quiet, but still had all the modern amenities. The road was a great place to walk our dog. Didn't cross paths with a car once in 4 days while walking her. Did cross paths with many deer though! We were 10 minutes from some very nice breweries and wineries. Look forward to returning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this rental. Well equipped, quiet, really enjoyed bird watching and close to the lake. We will be booking for 2025 and can’t wait!

Cabin is great. just deep enough into the woods so you see nothing but woods, yet only 15min or so from town. Feel of a cabin with the amenities of a full house. Walking trails right there, for a quick walk in woods, or just sit on porch or in the clearing by firepit. Been here twice, once in the winter 10 years ago, and this spring. Both times great.

This house is just enough off the beaten path. Quiet, and no neighbors. There is plenty of space inside. Fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils. The owner has provided books and games. The fireplace was the perfect touch, as we woke up to snow one morning. Not too far from all Keuka has to offer, but a wonderful place to kick up your feet and relax. I loved the added touch of the antiques for the decor!

The two of us stayed here with our puppy. It was an absolutely amazing location. The cabin was perfect for a quiet and relaxing get away. The setting could not be more secluded allowing for the perfect location to unwind. We cannot wait to return to this property.

This is a wonderful cabin off the beaten path! If you’re looking to get out of the hustle and bustle (as we were), this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some quiet time! Super clean, easy to check in/out, and filled with everything you may need. We traveled with our young kids and dog and everyone loved the entire experience! Thanks for hosting us!

Me and my SO went to the cabin for a weekend getaway and had a fantastic time, the Cabin was in a secluded area and was clean and set up great for guests. They had plenty of brocures and remmomendations for things to do in the area was a great experience.

We have been coming up to the finger lakes for about 10 years now The wine country has definitely gotten busier with people discovering this beautiful part of New York State The beauty of this property is the absolute serenity and peace of the property. I don’t hear traffic driving by or a neighbor for miles. The cabin is well appointed with all that is needed. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to many future bookings of this property

We had a lovely time staying at Grouse Haven! It was secluded yet close enough to the wineries and breweries. The dogs enjoyed roaming the property and the fireplace inside the cabin added that homey feel.

Our stay was great from start to finish. Phyllis and Mark have a wonderful cabin in a beautiful location. Set back from a dirt road deep in the woods with no one nearby, it’s a great place to relax and unwind. The cabin is perfect for couples or families with the loft bedroom for the kids. It is so well appointed that I can’t think of a thing we needed that wasn’t already there. Lots of dishes, silverware, cooking pans and utensils, glasses, even a crockpot and food chopper. The cabin is spotlessly clean with ample towels, bedding and even cozy throws. With four recliners and a comfy couch, there is plenty of seating to make everyone comfortable and feeling at home. Lots of trails to explore and fun little shops in nearby Penn Yan. Truly, the hosts have thought of everything and are very accessible if you have any questions or concerns. We would not only highly recommend Grouse Haven, we are already talking about our next visit! Thanks Phyllis and Mark!

Grouse House is remote enough to make you feel all alone in the woods and yet conveniently close to all the amenities you could want while on vacation. My wife and I spent a wonderful Christmas here and would very much like to come back and enjoy the cabin in other seasons.

We would stay again for sure. Very well appointed cabin and very private but not far at all from stores and restaurants. Had a nice relaxing time.

Nice, secluded cabin in the woods, but close enough to restaurants, shopping and activities. We were there in the fall- beautiful colors all around.

The cabin had everything we needed and then some. It's location made it easy to get anywhere we wanted within 15-30 minutes. It was very relaxing and enjoyed our stay.

We loved everything about our long weekend visit to the cabin. It was a great gathering place for our family (and pup) to be together. We enjoyed being able to take walks on the cabin trails, have dinners together and hang out around the fire pit in the evening. The cabin was also so close to Keuka Lake State park for easy access to paddling and hiking there. Phyllis & Mark were great hosts - welcoming, kind and generous. They shared some delicious goodies with us from their garden. We would love to visit again!

This year we increased our stay to 10 days. We look forward to staying in Grouse Haven every year❤️. Located minutes from the state park and central to many finger lakes and waterfalls there is so much to see and do. Or do nothing at all! This year we saw an Osprey nest and family and Red tailed hawks locally. We took a drive to Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and saw a bald 🦅 eagle. The cabin is clean, cozy, and plenty of space for my husband and I and our two adult sons who still want to join us on vacation! They love Grouse Haven too. Lots of windows to see nature at every angle yet private with trees all around. Phyllis our host is so sweet and accommodating. I always return home relaxed and rejuvenated. I look forward to coming back in the fall and again next summer!

Pleasant and very quiet! A good break from larger family gathering on the lakeshore. Comfortable bed and great shower. We enjoyed watching the birds from the dining table. Good thing the Grouse Haven banner was up, near the end of the driveway, or we might not have found it! Initial confusion over the internet password, and the limited cookware of good quality had food stuck on it, but otherwise a good stay. Renters with large vehicles should be aware of the narrow driveway requiring careful backing up.

Beautiful private setting. Campfire area, small yard for the kids to play in, sit on the deck and listen/watch the birds.

Phyllis & Mark have crested a magical escape from city noise and crowds. Equipped with a high vaulted ceiling, big, comfy chairs and hlking trails this is an oasis in the middle of wine country, sweet towns and local breweries.

We had a lovely weekend at your house. The property and house were absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you so much for everything.. the only thing I would even think about commenting about would be the water pressure in the shower was very low so it was to a lot longer to shower. This detail is very minor to us. It did not deter from how much we enjoyed our stay. Thank you again so much.

Perfect cabin in the woods getaway for our long weekend in the Finger Lakes! My spouse, two of our friends, and our 4 yr old mini goldendoodle loved the cabin which was beautifully nestled into the snow-covered woods, in an excellent location to enjoy the wineries, breweries and distilleries on both Keuka and Senaca Lakes. The thoughtful owners even supplied a crate for our dog for while we were touring the area, as well as everything we’d need for her as well (dog dishes, and even puppy poop bags). We were even given cabin tshirts and the ability to purchase the owner’s homemade maple syrup! We especially enjoyed the fireplace and cards & games for our evening enjoyment as well as the outdoor fire pit for snowy campfires. We will definitely be back!
