Das Erdgeschoss hat durchweg Hartholzfußboden und auch die Treppen und die Landung. Master-Suite ist auch im Erdgeschoss (was diesen Rollstuhl zugänglich macht) mit einem Kingsize-Bett, Flachbild-TV, Deckenventilator und einem Fensterplatz zum Entspannen oder Lesen. This home was perfect for our multi generational family to stay for a family wedding. Close to so many things. Shops, restaurants, beach.

We loved the location of this property! 10 minutes to the beach and we were able to go to the San Diego Zoo and/or Safari Park almost everyday we were there even during “rush hour” which compared to other cities doesn’t seem to really be a thing. My kids really loved the goldfish as well. Thank you Helen for being a very communicative host!

Encinitas is the coolest town between San Diego and Carlsbad. We loved the strip. Helen is a fantastic host who easily accessible. Her house is perfect for a family with babies to adults. Thank you Helen for a memorable stay.

My family of 4 and my elderly parents and dog stayed in this beautiful home for a fun Thanksgiving break get away. We enjoyed cooking in the big kitchen, hanging out in the backyard, sitting by the fire pit, going in the jacuzzi and playing cards. Such a beautiful home. Everything was clean, beautiful and nice. My daughter used one of the many surf boards at Mission Beach. Thank you Helen.

We were in town for a wedding at the Botanical Garden. Helen’s house was perfect for us - the location was so convenient, the bedrooms were so comfortable for 4 adult couples, and Helen was so responsive and accommodating. It’s was so much fun to be able to stay all together.

We had a wonderful stay with family at Helen's lovely home. The house was perfect for our multigenerational group, and we especially appreciated the thoughtful touches for families including a stepstool for the bathroom sink, kid-friendly plates, and plenty of toys and games. (And the kids especially loved their room with bunk beds!) The property was spotless and Helen was incredibly responsive as a host. It's a fantastic location, right near plenty of grocery stores and a short drive to the beach. We would be thrilled to stay here again next time we're in town!

I wanted a home with four separate bedrooms so each family had their own space. Other vacation rentals say they sleep 10 but, someone is sleeping in the living room. This house had everything you could want or need. A full stocked kitchen with dishes, spices, coffee and appliances. Baby items, beach items. There are too many items to list. The backyard had tons of seating, tables and a hot tub. The host was kind, gracious and accommodating. We felt at home in her beautiful home. Lifetime memories were made here.

We stayed in Helen’s home for a week long family vacation with some extended family. The house is spread out enough that we all had plenty of room to get comfortable and relax without feeling crowded.
The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, and everything that we needed was a short walk or drive away.
It is worth noting that the downstairs shower has a natural stone floor that is uneven by design. This was not a problem for our group, but someone with balance or mobility issues may struggle in the downstairs shower.
We would absolutely stay here again.

Great aesthetic and decor; very bright throughout. Lots of comfy furniture inside and out. Family felt welcome and comfortable in all the rooms.
VERY well appointed - the kitchen is fully stocked with dishes/pots/pans/cooking utensils - for anything you want to cook.
The patio is amazing, multi-level, with fire pits and the hot tub was a great way to relax after a long day of sight seeing.
Only a couple miles to Moonlight Beach - we had a blast there. The garage has *everything* you need for the beach - chairs, towels, boogie boards, surf boards, umbrella, toys for all ages.
We parked in the garage overnight.
If you stay, you MUST play the Survivor Outback board game. Too much fun!

Summer Beach Vacation 2023 was wonderful thanks to Helen and her beautiful property.
It is our second summer Our family enjoyed time at the beach and local activities out of the hot desert heat.
The house is centrally located to resturants and grocery stores. a quick 6-10 min drive to Moonlight beach. additional beach restaurants and shops.
The beds are comfortable, the house is well supplied, plently of beach toys to us.
The backyard w/hottub and b-que seating area , fire pits are a welcome relaxing area & room for kids to play. Helen has thought of everything and has easy great communication with guest. I would definietly recommend.

Rented Helen's home for a 4 night family stay. Four adults and two children (ages 4 & 6). The hot tub was a hit with the kids, the fire pit table provided a great place for the adults. Home was huge and we all felt comfortable in the space. Location was great, close to the beach and the San Diego Safari Park. Any issues were addressed by Helen immediately. Thanks Helen for a great time!

We had a family reunion with people traveling from overseas and stone the US. Helens property was absolutely perfect (we didn’t all stay here) to give everyone space to catch up, sit around, relax, spend time together or alone. Helen was so prompt in replying to any of my inquiries. We would definitely stay here again!

Location of property was very convenient relative to where the 3-day wedding weekend festivities were taking place. Neighborhood was very quiet. The boho-beachy-vibe of the home was nice, light and airy. Home was clean and roomy enough accommodated a family of seven nicely. The kitchen was well-stocked with the necessary household items. The backyard was a nice place to hang out outdoors. Would definitely stay here again if needed, as it was in a great location to various grocery stores, eateries and the beach was only a 5 min or so drive away! Thank you!

Ok so Helen and the space are honestly AMAZING. I couldn’t have asked for a better gathering space for my family. Helen has the place set up so it is so easy to just relax and have fun. Everything you need is basically a 5 min drive away.
One star off only because we had to walk on eggshells a bit because a cranky neighbor. If you’re ok with a strict 10pm NO NOISE curfew book this place. Otherwise you might have a cranky neighbor ambush you in the driveway when you’re trying to get something from the car…🙄
Would I stay here again? Yes absolutely!

Let me start out by saying that Helen the Host was fantastic! She is very responsive and very kind in her emails and text messages. The house was perfect for our multi-generational family. The layout of the house was perfect for our family too! The outside had plenty of areas to sprawl out, or come together, and the jacuzzi was a big perk! The house was well stocked, and the garage was filled with plenty of beach stuff...from a wagon, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, surf boards, cooler, toys, and towels! There were bikes and scooters too! She has plenty of stuff for the little ones too, in fact we used the stroller to take to Sea World! The beds were very comfy and the house had an overall beach vibe! The only thing we would suggest is having a handyman go through the whole house and repair or update some of the areas that need extra attention...but this did not distract us from enjoying this beautiful house! We had a great stay and would stay here again!

Brilliant
Our family had a brilliant time at this house in June. The house was lovely and it was perfect for our group of 5 adults and 2 children. The house has lots of beach toys, chairs, and parasols for guest use which was brilliant. We had a couple of issues during our stay but Helen sorted them out immediately. The garden was great, although unfortunately we weren’t able to make use of either of the fire pits as we couldn’t get either working. Also, to note, we found that the flame kept going out on the front left hob on the gas oven, which was a bit dangerous if you didn’t notice immediately. We would recommend this house or return if we are back in the area.

My family and I stayed at this property and we LOVED it! The house was spacious, open, and bright!! We opened the top half of the front door every morning to get the morning fresh air in. The backyard is beautiful and all the lights at night gave a relaxing ambiance. Helen was awesome and was always available for any questions I had. The location is perfect.

Enjoyed our stay in Encinitas
We had a wonderful stay at Helen's place! The home was spotless and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. We all loved the hot tub and the fire pit, and our grandkids had great fun with the games downstairs and the many stuffed animals and books next to their bunkbeds. The neighborhood was a great place to take our little dog for walks and the house was just minutes away from several beautiful beaches. We definitely hope to make a return visit!

Wonderful place to stay, we enjoyed hanging out with family that I hadn’t seen for a long time. We were all there to celebrate my daughters wedding which was wonderful

Perfect Location
Our stay here was for our son's wedding at The Secret Garden. The location was a short drive to the venue. We had little time to enjoy the beach and all of the amenities the property had to offer. However the kids (3 and 5 years old) loved the toys provided and the play house in the back yard. Anything you needed for the beach was in the garage, umbrellas, coolers, boogie boards, surf boards, bikes etc. Kitchen well stocked with dinnerware etc and a few seasonings. Helen was very accommodating as we had to push our dates in 2020 and 2021. We could not have been happier with our choice to stay here. The ocean breeze was so refreshing and the deck super relaxing. So many sites close by: beach within 15 minutes, Legoland 25 minutes, SD Safari Park or Sea World - 40 minutes. Wine tasting in Temecula 80 minutes. We did not miss having a pool as we were seldom at the house.

Weekend Family Time
This home is comfortable and welcoming. We were able to find everything we needed. The grandkids loved their room and enjoyed the books and stuffed animals. We hope we will have the opportunity to stay again another time when visiting our family in Encinitas. Thank you Helen.

Anniversary Trip
We stayed at this property with our five adult children to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. The house was beautiful and very clean. The host was available to answer any questions. The location was in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to beach, stores and only 30 minutes to downtown. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated and well supplied. The only negative thing I could say is the frying pans need to be replaced and there were a few minor repairs needed to the kitchen cabinets.
