Duffy Court ist ein komplett eingerichtetes Haus mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 2 Bädern in der ruhigen ländlichen Gemeinde Gasquet. Es ist das einzige Haus auf dem Block in einem abgelegenen privaten Waldgebiet und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Gasquet-Markt und der Post entfernt. Die Kreuzung von North und Middle Smith River befindet sich auf der anderen Straßenseite und ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang entfernt. Hier finden Sie eine der besten Bade- und Angelstellen am Fluss. Der French Hill Trail beginnt direkt hinter unserem Hintertor - es ist ein wunderschöner 4-Meilen-Trail (in jede Richtung).
Unser Haus verfügt über alle Utensilien, einen 50 "Smart-Fernseher, WLAN und Internet. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was eine Familie brauchen sollte. Es gibt Holzböden im Wohnzimmer und die super bequeme Couch ist mit Daunen gefüllt und bietet Platz für zwei Laken für zusätzliche Schlafgelegenheiten. Es gibt einen Gourmet-Ei-Grill und einen separaten Raucher auf dem Achterdeck und die Küchengeräte sind rostfrei / schwarz. Das Kochfeld ist ein elektrisches Glas und es gibt eine Mikrowelle, eine Kaffeemaschine und einen Toaster.
Der Duffy Court befindet sich über eine Sackgasse in unmittelbarer Nähe des Highway 199 und bietet Platz für Wohnmobile und Lastwagen / Anhänger. Unser sehr privater Standort verfügt über einen eigenen Brunnen ("Rosies" Pump House) und einen abgeschlossenen Hof mit gepflegten Blumenbeeten und Pflanzen. Es gibt Bistrotische auf dem Vorder- und Hinterdeck und einen Redwood-Plattentisch im Hinterhof für Picknicks, Getränke und Snacks am Nachmittag.
Auf der anderen Straßenseite des wunderschönen Smith River können Sie in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß Lachse und Steelehead angeln.
Unser Haus ist eine 15-minütige Fahrt vom Jedediah Smith State Park und dem Stout Grove Forest entfernt, wo sich die größten Redwood-Bäume der Welt befinden.

The host Robert is 100% on communication & very nice! If I had any complaint(which I don't) I would say that it's misleading to say river 4' walk..it's not. And even though you can walk to river in about 10", you can't actually access it, just see it. There were no directions to river either so it took awhile to find! Overall the property is beautiful, homey, well-equipped with all needs. I'll definately stay again! :-)

We liked the house of Bob. Plenty of space, very clean, cosy and everything what you need in the kitchen. Bob was quickly reacting to our e-mails and gave us helpfull hints.

Overall, it was amazing. Beautiful area, kind hosts, and close to stunning destination locations. On the downside, the water pressure is very low so keep that in mind.

Property was exceptionally clean. Owner checked in to make sure I had everything i needed. Super close to Jedidiah State park for visiting with redwoods. Internet was super fast which was great for remote work

Nice and quiet (don't assume cell coverage), but easy drive to both Redwoods and Crescent City. Very responsive host.

Cottage in the woods
Good accommodations. I loved the location of the property tucked into the woods. Great for a place to get to the redwoods right up the road and be home for dinner. Every thing one would need to cook a meal. The only thing I would suggest is a better air conditioner it was really hot the days we were there and the house was just as warm. We would open up all the windows at night to cool it down and then shut them in the morning to keep it cool the fans were a help but it was unbearable in the midday we had to go cool dow by the river. The owner is really nice and responsive. Overall a nice place to hang your hat at the end of your day.

Comfort with character
Home away from home. Not new and fancy. And I mean that in a 5-Star kind of way. New and fancy can often mean cold and unembracing. The Duffy Ct. rental made you feel really at home. It felt lived in and expected us to live in it as well. The home was warm, comfortable and inviting every time we returned from sunup to sundown fishing and exploring. Made great meals. Although we brought our own pantry and fixings, we were welcome to make use of the fully stocked kitchen and pantry of its own. We didn't make use of the wall sized smart TV. But for those who might enjoy a movie, you have it ready. The rooms were comfortable and warm, resulting in solid sleep cycles and energized mornings. Located in Gasquet and on its own Court, you're in the middle of everything but have the privacy that we all want on vacation.
You can't go wrong here. Enjoy.

Incredible getaway
We stayed in this home for almost 3 months to study for the bar exam. The home was beautiful and spacious, even better than the photos show. The property is gorgeous and we were fortunate enough to be there for the blackberries. It was a great experience getting away from the city to a small town in one of the most beautiful forests in the world.
Bob was very kind and responsive whenever we needed to reach him. He was very flexible when we made adjustments to our stay.

Great place to stay in a cozy little town.
My brother and I had a great time staying here for the weekend. The property is conveniently located right off the main road and near the market. It is the only property on this road so you can have a secluded stay in a large house for a very fair price. I would recommend it!

Easy living in Gasquet
We had a wonderful, tranquil stay at Duffy Court. The home is very well set up and has everything a traveler could need or want. Gasquet is a tiny town on the Smith River not far from the Ocean, Stout Grove, and Jedediah Smith forest. The host was easy to contact and everything was just what we expected. The energy of the place was relaxing and comfortable. It was also clean and well stocked.

An out-of-the-way comfortable stay.
We had a pleasant stay for two nights. The self-check in was smooth, the house clean, quiet, and comfortable for three of us. Robert was very accommodating with our request for separate nights and allowed us to make special arrangements between the nights. Nearby restaurant and grocery options are very limited; we came prepared to either cook ourselves or travel a few miles.

Beautiful & Bountiful Property
We had a great stay in late July-early August, picked our weight in blackberries (and barely made a dent in the property's seemingly endless supply), and enjoyed the many amenities of Duffy Court. We enjoyed the French Hill trail adjoining the property and had many fun days on the river. We had a problem with the well water supply upon arrival, but Bob & his team quickly resolved the problem by changing a filter. We would definitely stay here again.

What an awesome stay! Bob was super accommodating. The house was clean and comfortable. It was easy to find. The river spots were amazing. I had an awesome birthday week and being able to stay at the Duffy Court house made it that much more amazing. Thank you Bob! I would absolutely stay there again.

Short Family Hiking Trip
Home was easy to find, cozy and convenient to hiking trails. Spacious open layout. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. The only issues we had were the water pressure was low and the coffee maker leaked. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience.

Summer kickoff
We rented this place to kickoff summer. It was fun. Owner had charcoal for the bbq, beds were not the most comfortable but after hiking in the redwoods and on the coast and playing in the Smith river we were so tired it didn't matter.

No houses anywhere near. Tucked in the trees. Very comfortable place with everything you need to cook, clean, and live. We had a wonderful three days in the redwoods!

An excellent getaway
Our family of four with a dog spent two nights at the house. This is a perfect location to get away from the hectic life of a city and relax and enjoy the nature. The house was very clean and comfortable with a huge backyard for our dog to enjoy. The owner was very accommodating: we needed to modify our reservation and he changed our dates with no issues.

Awesome home away from home!
We rented this home for the latter half of our spring break getaway and it was perfect for all our family needs. I loved how roomy it was for our family of 6 and how stocked the kitchen was! I can't tell you how many times we've rented other homes to find it was nearly impossible to cook for a family of 6 due to no supplies (and being able to cook your own meals is one of the biggest reasons I choose vacation rentals over hotels/motels). This home is NOT like that at all. It has everything you could possibly need plus some! The location is remote and there was no cell phone service the entire time but the WiFi worked great so you still had some access to the "outside world" through the WiFi. We found the location perfect for exploring Brookings, Crescent City, Smith River and Jedediah Smith State Park and Redwoods. My only regret is that I wished we had more time! :) I highly recommend this rental and would love to stay again sometime.

Exactly what we were looking for.
Duffy Court was a great house located in town yet totally secluded. LOVED IT! It was perfect for our needs. Only cons were that the fridge leaks and no one has taken away the recycling in awhile so we couldn't get all of our stuff in there. Other than that, great. Would definitely stay again.

There were 5 in the party and the stay was easy. The check-in was smooth, everybody's needs were met and it was a comfortable house in a beautiful area. We'll use it again in the future & would certainly recommend to others.
