Ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand! Ein einstöckiges Haus auf einem 4 ha großen Grundstück mit viel Privatsphäre. Die Küche wurde kürzlich renoviert und ist für ernstes Kochen ausgestattet. Komfortabel eingerichtetes Haus mit neuem Whirlpool von Hot Springs und Liegestühlen auf der großen Terrasse mit Blick auf das Meer und Bodega Head.
Mandoline Wind ist ideal für zwei Paare oder eine kleine Familie. Die großzügige Master Suite verfügt über ein Kingsize-Bett, ein eigenes Bad und einen 36-Zoll-TV. Das Gästezimmer verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett, einen 36-Zoll-Fernseher und ein angrenzendes Bad. Hochwertige Bettwäsche, Haartrockner, Waschmaschine / Trockner, Bügelbrett / Bügeleisen sind vorhanden.
Die Küche verfügt über einen tollen Gasherd für den Koch, Arbeitsplatten aus Granit und neue Geräte aus Edelstahl, einschließlich eines Weinkühlschranks. The home is spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Location is very peaceful with nice wildlife viewing. Spa was a bonus. Kitchen was well stocked, and plenty of towels were provided. Hosts were very gracious.

This is such a lovely place. With a view of Bodega Head and all the wildlife around. We had deer, quail, herons, a fox and even a skunk visit us. So cute! The hot tub was wonderful. Fun walk down to Doran Beach every morning. Great restaurants nearby. We will be back. Thank you, Bob and Diana!

It just doesn't get much better than this. The property is a spacious, clean and and nicely furnished single-level house in a quiet hillside neighborhood with views of the ocean and surrounding countryside. Self check-in was a breeze with clear instructions, and the hosts provided plenty of helpful sightseeing and dining information. Easy driving to the wine country, or just relax on the large back deck. Kitchen is very well equipped, including a "lending library" wine chiller. Having a king bed and a garage were real plusses. Easy-to-operate TV setup, too. A-plus all the way!

Fro the moment we arrived at Mandolin Wind we were impressed with the location and beauty of this place. The house was well stocked with most everything you could need for a great getaway. The kitchen could use a wine foil cutter, a pair of scissors, and a few plastic bowls, but was otherwise well stocked. The deck and hot tub were a great place to relax, and the gas grill was great. It is conveniently located to the town of Bogega Bay and the beautiful coastline. We were a bit disappointed with the TV stations that were available. most everything we would have liked to watch was unavailable and needed an upgrade to the service. We tried to watch HGTV with no luck, and would really have liked to see some of the Olympic Trials, but we couldn't access any of those stations. Mostly just basic TV channels, but we made due. The bed was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely book the Mandolin Wind again in the future.

The house is lovely with a huge backyard deck and a large field that is frequently visited by deer, foxes and birds. The vaulted ceilings in the living room make the house feel even bigger and the bathrobes are soft on the skin after a hot soak in the jacuzzi.

Very nice home with great location and views. Being able to keep our rent car in the garage was a plus. Hot tub was a wonderful way to relax and unwind after a day of hiking and exploring the area.

This property is in a quiet neighborhood with views of the ocean. We got there just before sunset and the first thing we did was get in the back deck sauna and watch the sunset. Robes supplied were perfect. The beds are very comfortable. We took day trips to Armstrong redwoods, and Tomales Bay and this property is centrally located to those locations. The kitchen was clean and up-to-date. The gas fireplace is easy to use. The bathrooms were also clean. My husband and I did not want to leave when it was time to check out. The only two things I would note is there wasn't a champaign stopper and the hot tub seemed a little heavy on the chemical treatment. Overall, very nice property.

Mandolin Wind was clean, comfortable and cosy. It was well stocked with soaps, shampoo and body lotions. The beds were comfortable with pillows galore. (A couple of softer sleeping pillows would have been a welcome addition). There were grouse (I looked them up in the Audubon Bird Book that was provided) to greet us out front in the mornings and the deer in the backyard were a nice touch. We will definitely return to Mandolin Wind.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mandolin Wind. It was everything we expected, the house was clean, BBQ was brand new, fridge and ice maker worked perfectly. Spa was also working fine. The place is quiet, we used it to visit San Francisco and travel time to downtown is about 1h. You can find a store in Bodega Bay called Diekmann's Bay Store, they had all our need for our stay.
The only remark we could do is the washer and dryer could be upgraded, they worked ok, they are just old.

There are a few things at this property that need some attention. Dryer vent is not attached. BBQ was very dirty and knobs are stripped. Water filter needs replacement and ice machine doesn't work. Broken leg on one of the outside chairs. Otherwise it was a very nice stay.

Mandolin Wind is a beautiful home with a great view and lots of privacy. Clean, comfy and well stocked with everything you could need. We enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub and lounging on the deck. Then a short drive into town for a delicious dinner at the Terrapin Cafe.

We loved the hot tub and the views. Had a great meal at Fishetarian Restaurant, fish & chips. It was peaceful and quiet and safe. What’s not to like? One bathroom sink was not draining well but we just slipped a butter knife under the stopper to lift it a bit. Then it drained. But all the other amenities were abundant, like all the extra towels as well as beach towels.

My friends and I try to do a local long weekend quarterly or so, and we decided Mandolin Wind is our favorite place thus far! Beautiful and spacious house and surroundings with a deck, hot tub and partial ocean view. A bonus were all the deer that visited daily in the back yard. Such a treat! Would definitely come back.

We try to attend the Fishermen's Festival most years but hadn't been since before Covid. We made it this year and thankfully found this home on VRBO. It was perfect for our needs...very comfortable inside and outside. Though quite windy on the coast we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine with the deck railing providing a good wind break. The location was quiet, great for relaxing after our 2 days at the festival. Enjoyed, we'll try to book again.

We had the most wonderful stay at Mandolin Wind! We had intended to do some day trips into Sonoma but we had such a great time at the house that we never left Bodega. We had beautiful sunsets every evening and enjoyed drinking our coffee each morning with the view of Bodega Head.
House was well equipped for our family and very comfortable. Thank you to our hosts!

Light, bright, spacious getaway property. Perfect for 2 to 4 people. Kitchen is very well stocked for cooking with a dining table, large enough for the jigsaw puzzle.

What a spectacular weekend getaway! The owners were quick to respond to questions prior to booking. Easy check-in, the owners even notified us that we would be able to arrive early since the house was ready.
The house was well stocked with all the kitchen supplies we needed. We used the BBQ every night. And the hot tub was absolutely delightful! It’s positioned on the deck to get a view of the ocean/beach. And it was a lovely 1 mile stroll to get to Doran Beach. We took advantage of everything the house had to offer. We would definitely recommend this vacation getaway. And we have already talked about planning a return visit.

Mandolin Wind is a lovely 2bd, 2ba home with a marvelous back deck overlooking greenery and a hilltop view of the bay and ocean. Large sliders and windows give a view from inside out over the back deck. 2 car garage for covered parking if needed, and a lovely, fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking fun. The house was clean and well appointed, and felt comfortable. The owner, Robert, was responsive and helpful with my questions, and check in was as simple as getting the key and opening the door. I gave 5 stars because our experience was exactly as advertised, and was in many ways better than we expected.

This house had so much to offer to make for a comfortable and peaceful visit: fireplace, hot tub and beds. The table was perfect for our card games. We enjoyed sunning ourselves on the deck and enjoying the ocean view. Easy access to restaurants and hikes.

The home was quite comfortable and spacious. Nice kitchen for cooking and grill on the deck. The view was nice especially when the fog cleared up. We saw all sorts of wildlife such as a fox, deer, hawks, and quail.
Drive to town or any beaches was easy and quick. We could walk but it would have been down a large hill(then back up) and across the highway, which with two young kids we weren’t up for.
There are two glass top tables in the house which was a little concerning with two young kids but otherwise the space was pretty kid friendly.
Overall loved our stay and very happy with the house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great home and location. If we come back we’d seriously stay here again. My wife enjoyed seeing the deer in the backyard area daily. Nice and quiet and secluded subdivision. Played golf at the Links and ate at the area restaurants. Thank you again for allowing the use of your home.
