lots of fun, great house. a lot of steps!

Such a great time. The house was perfect for us. Be prepared for a STEEP! driveway and challenging parking with any more than 4 cars. It can be done, we had 7. Although tight, it's possible. The stairs, well... you need to get down to the water somehow. Let's just say in one day I logged 52 flights of stairs. Still worth it. The water is perfect, location is great, and be ready to spend your vacation wet. The only downside, and it's VERY minor, no TV's in the bedrooms. If you relax to a TV when hou are winding down in bed, better bring your own. Owner responded to all questions quickly and accurately. Use the provided directions and you will not have a problem finding the house. No cell service (great wifi) by any carrier at the house. In the end, I recommend this house and would rent again!

Very good. Fit our family well

The property gave us plenty of room to “get away” and separate with a large group. Very well stocked kitchen and the double fridges and dishwashers were a huge plus. All ages had a blast. Only drawback was with little ones under 5 years old not having a flat place to play outside and away from the water.

Nice house with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Location was excellent. We didn’t have any kids with us, but I bet they would love the game room.

Loved the neighborhood feel of the cove. There’s always music playing and activity in the water. Wonderful time. 10/10. Highly recommend

We rented this property for my parents’ 50th anniversary. There were 21 of us ( age range 2-79) I can’t begin to tell you how amazing n non stop fun it was for all of us, I highly recommend adding the water toy package, it’s a must. It has 2 paddle boards, two kayaks, giant lily pad that we could not keep the kids or adults off of. There is a waterslide off the top deck that is amazing. The house is fully equipped with dishes, glasses, wine glasses, silverware, pots and pans which makes cooking a breeze. There’s a full washer and dryer downstairs, individual doors that close off each floor, it helps minimum the noise makes it easier for those napping. Almost all bedrooms have a private bathroom with full tub and shower. There r two rooms on bottom floor that share a bathroom. The hot tub was amazing. A large grill on the top floor with and extra propane tank, and afire pit downstairs. We spent so much time on the decks (there are three. Fully furnished) there are three refrigerators and a giant pantry that will hold all your goodies that you bring with you, or u can go to local store that is about 15 min away. The kitchen has two dishwashers, Towels are provided in the bathrooms, as well as sheets, pillows, bed covers and blankets. The basement has a bar area, two large arcade machines and Foosball table that were lots of fun. Every floor has a tv. I would recommend bringing goggles, life jackets,beach towels, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels , dishwashing detergent , detergent to clean cloths, LOTS of sunscreen and last but not least fishing poles. We caught catfish and bluegill there were bass but they didn’t bite. There were lots of turtles in the water and fish everywhere. The local airport in Knoxville is about 1 hr away. There was only one downside to this location, and this is a very minor. You lose cell service in the last 3 miles approaching the cabin. ( Waze and google maps will shut off ) so you will need to pay attention to road signs. (Don’t worry you have WiFi in the cabin). The entrance to driveway of cabin is VERY steep but worth it. Turns r very sharp n close. Look out for the captains cove sign on the left hand side of the street. Once u turn in it’s your first right than left. These r narrow roads. There is plenty of room to park, as we had 6 large vehicles. The entrance and exit road is shared with one other house. If you want the ultimate vacation location, rent this cabin!! As my dad put it- ❤️it was a dream❤️

This house was perfect for the 4 families we had together! We absolutely could have fit even more people. The location was beautiful- tucked in a little cove not far from The Jumping Bridge. It was close to our dock which we could easily see from the house (a huge plus for us). The house layout was great too - bedrooms for all the adults on the top and middle floors, while teens enjoyed hanging out and sleeping on the bottom level with all the games and extra TV. The dock was great - we loved the lake toys too! Worth the extra rental charge! Most of all, the owner was super helpful with any and all questions and went above and beyond for us! We will be back!!

We had 19 family members (ages 6 mo to 90 years) and this house was the perfect size for our week-long stay. 2 bedrooms on the main floor for those with problems with steps, plenty of room on that main floor for togetherness, but plenty of room downstairs too for when we each needed a minute or 2 alone.. The kitchen table was great size and the kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, crockpots, etc. The neighborhood hills made for great views and a great place to walk off Thanksgiving dinner. And the hosts were VERY responsive. We need a rental house this big only every other year and I usually like to try out a new place each time, but I just may have to do a repeat visit to this one.

This was a Christmas gift to our children and grandkids. There were 20 of us ranging from 6 months to 58 years old. We all had a blast and will definately stay again! Plenty for all ages to do and lots of room! Thank you

Captain's Cove was perfect spot for our crew - total of 18 of us including 9 kids who were 6 and younger. The Lammers were great providing info getting us ready for our stay. The spacious and clean home was well equipped, plenty of parking. water toy package (paddleboards, kayaks and lily pad) were well used and enjoyed by all. Bonus was this house is much closer to lake than other homes we've stayed in. The cleaning crew even came back on our fist day worried they didn't restock the toilet paper :) We'll be back!

Our extended family had a wonderful time at Captains Cove! Kids young & old loved the game room, video games, and hot tub! The house is so spacious and well-stocked with everything you need. Plenty of beds and bathrooms, great outdoor space, and a pretty view even in the depths of winter. We hope to come back for a summer time visit to enjoy the lake too! The owners were so easy to work with and very responsive to questions and requests. Awesome experience all around!

The cabin was amazing and very roomy! Enjoyed the communication with the owners - they were beyond helpful! They had a hair chair, two pack and plays. Plenty of kitchenware and kitchen space for multiple people and cooks! :)

Prior to our arrival an appliance was discovered to be not working, but the owner contacted me right away and we made sure to come up with an alternate solution. Owner was very easy to work with and the property/house were perfect for a weekend getaway!

A great experience from the beginning. Owners were very prompt answering all questions before and after booking. Had one issue that we needed to contact owners about during the stay and they responded and assisted with issue immediately. House is very spacious and never felt crowded. Full kitchen and all cooking amenities you could need. Game room was fun for kids and adults. And absolutely loved being right on the water with access to the water toys and boat we rented. Cove area is beautiful and ideal for all activities. Everyone had an amazing vacation and we were very sorry to leave.

Had a great week visiting Captains Cove. The home was perfect for our group & had everything we needed. We have visited Norris Lake before but enjoyed this location much better than previous visits. The kids loved jumping off the dock, kayaking & just playing in the lake. Also couldnt miss a stop at the bridge for a jump every time we were out for a ride on the boat as well. The owners were very responsive & assured they did everything they could to make it a pleasant stay. We will certainly consider returning on future trips!

My family and I are pleased that we chose the Captain's Cove as the place to stay for our family vacation! The home was spacious, cleaning and well equipped with everything that we needed! We are already making plans to stay again! Thanks so much for your hospitality!

Very nice - only problem was a phone system where some one had switched the cables in the jacks, so we didn't have any land line, or internet for 3 days. We turned the AC up - the suggested temperature from the owners was too cool for all of us.

What a great week. Weather was great. Location on the lakes was awesome. Home was set up perfect for a large gathering. Adults and children had their spaces to relax and enjoy each other. Definitely would do it again. What a great place for our family reunion. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience.

We had some weather related issues, but I cannot say enough about Jane’s prompt communication. She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of and in good shape during our stay. The house itself is well equipped for large groups. The cove is secluded and no wake, making it safe for kids to enjoy swimming, sliding off the dock, and the rope swing right across the cove. We had 3 boats and found the dock to be well accommodating. There are some stairs and 3 levels within the house itself, but very manageable for our crew (13 adults and 11 kids!!). The house comfortably and easily fit everyone. Town is not far, just a 15 minute drive to groceries and such. We had such a great time. Thank you, Jane!!

This is a very nice house & property. We enjoyed our week there. It will even be better when the damage caused by a tree falling on the steps & ramp to the dock is repaired and the electric to the dock is restored.
