Lovely home in the mountains. Was perfect, clean and very comfy. Well appointed. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider again when we are back in the area.

This is the ideal place to stay for anyone who is traveling with a motorcycle. Very well maintained and clean.

This place is relaxing and beautiful, the owner Debbie was great, she recently upgraded the WiFi which I saw a lot of people mention on previous comments but we had no issues and it was super fast. My friends and I went there to ride our motorcycles on the tail of the dragon and other surrounding beautiful roads. I definitely recommend staying at this location for whatever your vacation plans are .

We were in the area for a car rally at Fontana Dam second time I’ve rented a house to stay in. This house by far was my favorite one so far and probably will try to run it again next year same time.

What a beautiful cabin. Deborah really had it decorated and set up for a perfect get away in the mountains. Everything we needed and more. The wood burning fire place was a dream. Coming up from Florida the fire kept us cozy. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us. Great place to unplug and unwind.

The property was great, but it was further away from attractions and activities than I wanted. The Internet and the television selections were very limited. The internet was not strong and was limited. Television was basic and only 1 TV in the cabin.
The house was very well stocked with towels, sheets , bed pillows. The kitchen had everything that we needed for preparing full meals. Great deck with grill and outdoor meal seating. Nice view of nearby mountain, but no extended long range mountain chains
I would strongly recommend this location if you like solitude and privacy.

The cabin was very cute, clean, and has nice furnishings. It worked for a short weekend of motorcycle riding.

Owner lives next door. We arrived 30 mins prior to check-in and owner was cleaning property. We were able to unpack 30 mins after check-in time when cleaning was done. The cabin was reserved 9 days for a family of 5. The downstairs bathroom toilet did not flush properly. Water does not fill tank. Had to use a bucket to refill tank in order to flush. Only two rolls of toilet paper were stocked, one in each bathroom with less than half a roll on the toilet paper holder. For the amount paid, you would have thought supply would have been a little bit better. Wifi at the cabin is terrible. Extremely limited and basic cable only. Good and bad depending on need during stay. For us, we both come from management positions where wifi was needed but unable to perform any work. Owner did state that she could up the internet package but at a fee which we were not willing to pay extra for. Property/cabin itself was beautiful and very close to lakes and nearby cities.

My boyfriend and I came up for a long weekend to ride the tale of the Dragon/deals gap and all the other beautiful areas. The leaves were changing as it was the end of October. Our stay at this home was amazing. Beautiful cabin. Nicely furnished, everything you could need to cook all types of kitchen utensils and accessories. Beautiful outdoor deck overlooking the mountainside. Fireplace Within the cabin as well as on the property. There is also a beautiful walking trail up the side of the mountain behind the property here. If you want something fairly secluded this is the place to go, town is about 25 minutes if you're wanting to dine or shop. Cannot say enough about the hospitality from the owners, very nice and accommodating people. Would definitely come here again.

Very pleasant owners with excellent communication. Just as advertised, clean, with all necessary equipment and amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Road access can be challenging for some (very steep drive) but it’s just as described in the listing. Secluded and quiet, we enjoyed our stay and would (will) definitely stay again.

Enjoyed the very well-appointed and clean cabin. Everything worked and looked amazing in the cabin. A little challenging getting up the steep paved driveway with a two wheel drive vehicle and 4 cylinder engine.

Very clean with fantastic views. Easy access with plenty of room to park and convenient to Robinsville, Fontana, and Topoco.

This was a beautiful getaway for our family. The home has amazing views! The host is very thoughtful, kitchen is well stocked making mealtime easy, the furniture is comfortable and clean. We were able to take the days to explore and come back to relax on the porch. We fished, hiked, rented a pontoon on Fontana Lake, white water rafting in Nantahala, ate dinner at Tapoco Lodge, Tail of the Dragon...all within 30 minutes of the home. It was perfect for our family!! Thank you!!!

Perfect cabin and perfect location!
Just what you need to get away from it all. The cabin was extremely clean and roomy. You are pretty much alone and can enjoy the beauty of the trees and hillsides of the mountains in peace. We had fires outside and inside each night. Nice loop trail to walk with the dogs, and close enough to drive and visit some other beautiful sites and trails/parks. You won’t be disappointed! So Relaxing….

Beautiful Views and Peaceful Retreat
This was our sixth time staying at a VRBO property and I must say this was the cleanest, most well stocked with kitchen/general supplies, and best decorated of all of them. Debbie gave us a lot of ideas on restaurants and other activities in the area. As others have said the road to the house is steep, but after the first up/down you get comfortable with it. The parking area is flat and there is plenty of room to turn an auto around. Bed was very comfortable and after a day in the fresh air it was well appreciated. The house is centrally located between Robbinsville, Bryson City, and Tail of the Dragon.

The perfect honeymoon getaway
My wife and I just completed our 11 day honeymoon stay at Ridge Haven and we loved it. It was everything we hoped for: quiet, secluded, beautiful views, wood burning fireplace, and close to hiking trails. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating (we appreciated Debbie making a personal appearance to say hello), and there's plenty of guidance, either from them or the provided pamphlets, on things to do.
As others have mentioned, the driveway is very steep. Definitely good to have four/all wheel drive for that and for getting around the mountain roads.
If you come from the north, Debbie might suggest you come in via the Cherohala Skyway from Tepico Plains to Robbinsville, which is a great suggestion. Otherwise you'll have to drive the tail of the dragon, which is pretty intense. We drove it once out of curiosity and a second time by mistake (Apple Maps will tend to route you on it), and that was enough for us. Besides that, driving anywhere around Robbinsville, such as to and from Gatlinburg, is incredibly beautiful!
We hope to return again!

Absolutely wonderful
The place is very remote & there was no cell service. Other than that it is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in.
It is roomy, comfortable, clean, & in a beautiful setting. I do think it odd that the owner told us not to burn the wood that was in the fireplace because it was “special” wood? We did use the fire pit out back & loved it. We were there in October to enjoy the fall colors.

AWESOME!
This is our 3rd time we rented a cabin from the owner. The first 2 times were in the summer and this time we decided to visit in the fall. The cabin is remote and the view from the deck is breath taking. Each day after we returned from a great hike we sat out on the deck for happy hour and enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains. It's so peaceful. The owner has a real knack for decorating and as always the cabin was spotless and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed a nice fire in the fireplace each night and the stars at night are brilliant. The other 2 years we stayed at the "Retreat" and this year we decided to stay at this cabin. There is so much to do - hiking, horse back riding, rafting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, zip lining, mountain biking and I'm sure I left something off. The cabin is just like the pictures show. We plan to return again - we have never been disappointed.

Family Stay near Robbinsville, NC
Our stay at Roy and Debbies place was excellent. The pictures of the home are as nice as they look in the pictures. The entire family enjoyed time on the deck as it was so relaxing and stress free. The view was fantastic and at night it was like a whole new world with all the sounds. Special place with great hosts. Dog friendly with nice trails to walk your dog. The family spent time pontooning on local lake, did a zip line and white water rafting near Bryson City. Kids got a chance to go horseback riding and explore waterfalls in the area. At the end of the day everyone looked forward to getting back to the house and unwinding and having smores around the fire ring. Great home.

A beautiful property!!
This cabin is beautiful. You can tell immediately this a very well maintained property. Extremely clean and comfortable. The cabin is in a secluded area, you will have quiet and privacy- but will be close to all the great attractions of the Great Smokies. We had a great time, the owners are very responsive.

Great stay!
If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay this is the perfect place. The house was perfect in cleanliness. This is probably the first place in a long while that we felt comfortable walking in our bare feet. Debbie was so friendly and great in telling us of places to see. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Home away from home
Great property with good proximity to Lakes. Very kind and caring owners who are right there to help if there are
Problems. The driveway is steep however parking is right by the house and there is plenty of room. I wish we had stayed longer.

I have never stayed at a VRBO with such a stocked property. The place has everything in the kitchen that you could imagine. The property is clean and the bathrooms have everything you need. The furnishings are top of the line. Debbie the host was super. The internet went down and within an hour, a repair man was there and took care of the problem. I had a motorcycle and the driveway is a little steep but nothing that an experienced biker can/t handle. Debbie was quick to respond to all my questions prior to the stay. I highly reccpmend this place. TH

Nature’s Waterpark getaway
This property was within an hour of most places and it was nestled in the woods. We loved it! It was quiet and we didn’t hear or see anything around us but woods, Mountain View, and birds. The host gave great suggestions of must do’s and our family enjoyed our week stay. We went white water rafting, tubing, and hiked waterfalls. Next time we will rent a boat and go trout fishing.. We thought we were booking in Tennessee but for some reason Vrbo directed us to this property in NC. It was meant to be and we had a great trip!

Beautiful Peaceful Getaway
We really enjoyed the peaceful mountain cabin. Enjoyed grilling and a fire most nights. Great place if you are looking to relax and enjoy beautiful scenery. Great deck to enjoy coffee on in the morning and a glass of wine at night.

Fantastic!!
We had a wonderful time! Everything is exactly as the pictures portray. Hosts had all the comforts of home! Clean and cozy cabin. It is a steep and narrow drive but we were able to carefully back a full size truck with a 16' trailer in the driveway. We will definitely be back.
