The unit is wonderful and quick access to the private beach and pool are unbeatable... we had a great time and even better support from Kohala Coast Properties :) We were traveling with a toddler and when the clothes dryer stopped working it might have been a disaster due to amount of laundry toddlers can generate, but Michelle had a repair person on site within 4 hours on a Saturday which was really above and beyond.Overall the rental is wonderful and worth every penny, but if pressed for constructive feedback I'd mention that there isn't a stereo or speakers you can pair to your phone in the rental (which would be nice to have) and that the shades in the living room might need to be replaced as they seem on their last legs... but otherwise the unit was perfect for us!

Condo was in acceptable condition but showing its age. Plumbing fixtures were old and were marginal in performance. Weatherstripping on front door allows large insects to enter condo. Kitchen appliances were functional but old. The community pool is small.

Overall the property was in excellent condition and great location for our needs to be close to start line for Hawaii 70.3. I have stayed in other properties on the same street that had better amenities, such as spices for cooking, access to garage ( nice to have if you are traveling with bicycles), no restrictions on the AC. Overall it fit our needs but not as accommodating for travelers as other units.

Multi Family Spring break - good home base
We were joining a large group who had rented a house just 7 minutes up the road. This was a great central location to head out for adventures. Easy access to the grocery store next door, coffee and smoothies too!
The kitchen was well equipped and we used it frequently.
We had two 11 year old boys with us. The pool that is available is a bit of a walk and not the most kid friendly. We only spent one afternoon there however because the beach access was good and we were off doing other adventures. Access to the beach club was great once we figured out how to get there. It would be nice if there was a map in the property showing what is nearby because there are some great access points close by but it took us a couple days to get our bearings.
Great layout for two families. Boys shared a room and the adults each got a room with a private bathroom.
Overall a great stay

Cozy & Beautiful
Unit 621 is everything as described. This was the perfect accommodation for my family of four plus my daughter’s friend. The ladies enjoyed their twin bed en-suite, while my soon was a king in the downstairs en-suite. Well built too as the unit shares a wall and we never heard the other guest at all. House is fully stocked for everything you’ll need to prepare meals on. Easy access to the on property gym, pool and jacuzzi as well as a short drive to the Beach Club. Get there early for a cabana or take your time and simply use the beach chairs and umbrella from the unit. Hope to make it back soon!

Beautiful property!
We enjoyed every day of our 15 day stay at Villages at Muana Lani! The condo is very clean and well maintained. Two maintenance issues we called about were handled quickly. We would certainly stay here again!

The unit is nice, but had some problems. Most of which are probably fixed. The unit was not as well located as we would have liked. The beds squeezed, the washing machine didn't work, but was replaced just before we left. The property management people were always pleasant and responsive when they were able.

Wonderful Stay
This beautiful, spacious home was perfect for a family vacation in paradise. Plenty of necessities like paper products, hand soap, laundry detergent, etc. The neighborhood is quiet and gorgeous. The beach is a short drive away and has showers, restrooms and a restaurant. A grocery store is on the way to the beach. The property manager was responsive and friendly. We would happily return!

Great Stay with Suggested Improvements
Our group of 6 (single dad w/2 daughters + couple w/1 daughter) very much enjoyed our 6 day stay at this beautiful unit. The unit is very well appointed with lovely & comfortable furnishings, well stocked bath and beach towels, beach/pool gear (w/1 exemption) and nearly all of the needed kitchen gear (dishes, glassware, pots, pans & utensils). We made good use of the beach club going on 4 separate days and enjoyed the pool each day.
All this being said there were some areas we believe that could use some enhancements that prevented us from giving only 4 out of 5 star rating.
- We knew about the lack of regular coffee maker so we purchased and left a decent 12 cup machine (we hope this stays for the enjoyment of future guests - we found it silly there was only a Kerig single serve machine)
- We made good use of the bodyboards, beach chairs and pool noodles but it could really use a beach umbrella that is typically supplied with most rental units
- My married couple friends reported that the master bedroom bed was squeaky and a bit sunken on 1 side
- And yes the 1 issue that nearly all other reviews mention: there was absolutely no basic kitchen staples (not even salt & pepper!). We find this both ridiculous and maddening!! I don't know if this is an property manager policy, owner issue or COVID concern but as a experienced vacation property renter this is a serious expectation so please get with the times and stock basic supplies or retain the ones left by renters like we did.
Lastly just some comments on the "on the ground" issues currently going on in Hawai'i (as of mid-August 2021) that are not related to this unit:
- Masks are required for all indoor spaces (stores, restaurants including outdoor dining)
- Restaurants are still at 50% capacity so get reservations or get on the waitlist early and know that most hotel dining is not available to outside guests
- In case you don't know yet, rental cars are in very short supply & very expensive (4 x higher than my last trip in 2019) so reserve your car early or try a rideshare rental such as Turo
So all & all it was wonderful night stay and would consider this property again if the issues above are improved.

It was nice to stay here in comparison to a hotel. The location is not ideal if you want to walk to places. We had to drive every where. It would have been nice if there was some condiments like salt, pepper, suger & cooking oil.I didn't like the fact that we couldn't have left unopened water/food for the next guest.

Spacious and peaceful
My family had a wonderful stay at this property. The condo is in a great, quiet location close to a grocery, the beach, several trails and restaurants. Place was clean and comfortable with a large master suture, well appointed kitchen and spacious lanai with serene lawn view. We didn’t use the pool, but the beach club pass was great and allows you access to a lovely sandy cove great for swimming and lounging. A few notes: A/C lower limit is set at 74, which while mostly comfortable did get warm when moving around and some nights. Seems a high limit to set when paying this much for your stay. We also had some issues with the Keurig not brewing properly all the time. Might be time to invest in a new coffee maker. All in all a wonderful stay and would stay again.

We had a great stay and Michelle was so helpful in allowing us to stay longer on check out day since we had an overnight flight home. The house was very comfortable and had the amenities we needed.

Instead we walked to a local shop to buy the coffee which is not only inconvenient but cost us about $50 per day at which point we should have bought a coffee maker. All condiments are thrown away after each stay. We had purchased a bunch of spices and oils etc. to cook with that we ended up throwing away on the last day which seems so wasteful! This can't be the standard protocol because at the house we rented before coming to this condo, all spices/oils were left for the next guest to enjoy.Currently, there is only 1 person allowed in the onsite gym at a time and you have to sign up on a sheet which was completely full for weeks by the time we arrived so we did not have access to a gym.The condo is stocked with a finite amount of supplies and if you run out it is up to you to restock. We suffered a water leak in the kitchen during our stay, the management company did call us right away that evening and had it repaired by 2pm the next day but meanwhile we used up all of the allotted 2 rolls of paper towels to clean up the kitchen and when we asked for additional rolls to be dropped of they said we could use the beach towels or the rest of the kitchen towels. Not a big deal but disappointed in the response given we had to spend 30 minutes cleaning up the kitchen and had to hand wash/dry our dishes for 3 meals during our vacation.

The property was as described, it was spacious and clean. The property management was responsive and the cleaning crew was very accommodating to let us come early and put our groceries in the refrigerator.

This can't be the standard protocol because at the house we rented before coming to this condo, all spices/oils were left for the next guest to enjoy.
Currently, there is only 1 person allowed in the onsite gym at a time and you have to sign up on a sheet which was completely full for weeks by the time we arrived so we did not have access to a gym.
The condo is stocked with a finite amount of supplies and if you run out it is up to you to restock.
We suffered a water leak in the kitchen during our stay, the management company did call us right away that evening and had it repaired by 2pm the next day but meanwhile we used up all of the allotted 2 rolls of paper towels to clean up the kitchen and when we asked for additional rolls to be dropped of they said we could use the beach towels or the rest of the kitchen towels. Not a big deal but disappointed in the response given we had to spend 30 minutes cleaning up the kitchen and had to hand wash/dry our dishes for 3 meals during our vacation.

The property was great. I did not love the location because it is necessary to get into the car to go do things, but there are many great options, many great things to do, nearby.

Disappointed that there was virtually nothing left in the condo for new occupants requiring purchase of all essentials such as salt/pepper/ sugar/ spices/ cooking oil unused coffee /etc. All other similar rental always left these essentials for renters arriving after long days of travel. Anything we left was probably also taken by the cleaning crew. Not convenient for new arrivals . Also only a Kuerig coffee machine requiring more expensive coffee .

Everything was immaculate and seemed new.
