Quaint and Quiet, we had 6 total people and it worked for us. Understand you are in the woods. Wi-Fi was perfect for the bunch. Sunsets are breathtaking. Recommend a truck or SUV to travel there. Not far from great things to do. Would definitely visit again!

The cabin is a cozy A frame and looks as presented. A couple issues I experienced were: None of the ceiling fans or ceiling lights worked. There are three, and none of them worked. It was cold in the area and got down into the low 50s with rain and the place was damp becuse of it, but the gas fireplace was disconnected and we were told in brochure not to use the wood stove inside in June. So our stuff got damp from humidity and chilly at night. The lake is basically inaccessible foe anyone with mobility issues. So never got to see the lake or shore or dock. Coming in at night is difficult sue to the darkness and no GPS, so we struggled to find the place after our event Saturday night. We couldn't check in until 4;)) opm and had to leave by 10:00 am. 11:00 am would have been a great help mostly because we had to CLEAN the place. Vacuum, mop, dust, everything. There was a huge dust web in the basement which, by the way, is downstairs, so why am I dusting that? The king bed upstairs was pretty comfortable. But if you have to go to the bathroom at night, you have to go down one windy, thin, metal, cold if its dame and 50* out, stairway then another to get to he bathroom. Had the weather been nicer maybe we could've enjoyed an out door fire but idek where to get wood. Prob wood for purchase somewhere. Lots of instructions and for the price, the amount of work we were expected to do (wipe out fridge?? Really?) a later check out time would have been great. Host ws nice though.

We spent most of our time in Saratoga. Which was the purpose of our trip. The time we spent at the cottage was enjoyable . We took a swim on Friday eve at dusk. The water is nice. The upstairs bedroom was cozy. We didn’t get much time on the lake or the deck this trip. We were in town most of our 2 full days.

Unfortunately, our family vacation that we looked forward to for a year was yanked out from us. The owner was prompt and communicated with us when we told him we could not arrive our daughter unfortunately ... we had an extreme family emergency. The owners were polite and this seems like a nice a great home to enjoy just like advertised. We recommend to anyone because of the kindness and patience they showed us. We hope to save up and try again next year.

We had an incredibly relaxing stay at this cabin. The view is spectacular. Private and peaceful. There is such outdoor space to choose from. We had our meals on the porch, overlooking the lake. Our last night we truly had the prettiest sunset I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven w us!

Me and my fiancee stayed at this cabin for a little getaway. Everything was as expected! Perfect area, quiet and peaceful. The view was breathtaking and we spent a lot of time on the deck just enjoying it. The kayaks were well maintained and gave a nice outing for us to explore the lake! Overall a nice and relaxing vacation in a quiet and beautiful cabin.

The listing doesn’t do this property justice, it was so cute and perfect for a weekend!

Four family members reunited at this camp and e couldn't have asked guys anything more. Everything you need us here, the place is even better than the pictures and the owner is great. The views cannot be beat!

This is a very nice place to relax and enjoy the setting. Kayaks and canoes were great, as was the fire pit and view from the deck!

We found the Pine Tree Cabin to be the perfect place for my wife, infant son and I to relax. There was plenty of space indoors for our som to play and beautiful views of the lake to be enjoyed from the spacious deck. This was the perfect place to unwind after a couple busier days in the Lake George area.

Excellent location. Highly recommended. We’ll be back again

My family and I had an amazing time at Pine Tree Lodge: the cabin was beautiful (it manages to be both cozy and spacious); the location was beautiful (our kids loved fishing and rowboating, and we even saw a porcupine); and we were only a short drive into Saratoga (though we had a blast eating at Tinnie's Tavern, which is a short walk away). Also, Rob couldn't have been nicer--we highly recommend Pine Tree Lodge, and would love to come back ourselves.

This listing needs better photos, because these rental photos do not do it justice. The property is much bigger than the photos lend it to be. I wouldn't recommend it for large groups though. The king bedroom is lofted and open air with a spiral staircase to the living space. The king bed is super comfy but the basement bedroom with 2 twins leave much comfort to be desired. Ended up using the unit's pullout couch which we made work for our 2 night stay. About a 18-20 minute drive into downtown Saratoga. The cabin is also pretty remotely located up a hill next to other properties and difficult to find on first visit. The house has multiple small outdoor areas and an outdoor fire pit to use. Had some issues with lights and appliances in the unit but spoke with the owner about those.Would recommend but needs a few minor fixes.

Pine tree lodge is a great piece of property and ideal if you want to visit Lake Sacandaga or Saratoga Springs. Very satisfied with our stay.

We had a wonderful time at Pine Tree Lodge. The view and sunsets are spectacular- especially in the fall! Everything was very clean and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked with equipment. The living space was very comfortable and we look forward to returning!

Beautiful and rustic property, amazing sunsets, and wonderful use of the lake! The only constructive criticism we have is: 1. We wish we would have known check in could have been earlier, and 2. the description doesn’t mention that the coffee machine is a Keurig, or else we would have brought our pods. Other than that, we would recommend and stay again!

It was so nice being up in the woods for a weekend getaway. The location and outdoor area were great! To be honest, though, the cleanliness was disappointing. When first arriving at the house there were mice droppings in multiple kitchen drawers and under the pull-out couch along with hair on the floor throughout the house and some empty beer cans on the ground outside. Plus, we wished we had known ahead of time that the wood stove and fireplace weren’t working because those were big draws for us.

Robb was extremely responsive to ALL of our questions. He was the perfect host. The only thing I would note is the kayaks are doubles and not singles...Which worked out but we thought the kids would be able to go out on their own and that wasn’t the case. We still had a great time and fun on the water the life vest and boats were all in great shape and organized. We would definitely recommend to friends and family.

House was as pictured, clean and comfortable. Lake views with two decks, hilly walk to beach area. Entrance road is not paved, would recommend SUV or 4 wheel drive, especially in rain or snow.

We had a great time at the cabin! The canoes, kayaks, swimming in the beautiful lake were all just beautiful. Sitting on the deck overlooking the lake, long walks along the roads or ATV trails, and a day trip to Saratoga Springs completed our activities. The cabin is just as advertised. It is homey and comfortable, as long as you are ok with stairs. Full refrigerator, 2 burner stove, oven and grill, plus microwave and toaster oven give lots of options for cooking. The coffee maker is a Keurig, so bring cups if you crave coffee! Highly recommended; extremely relaxing!

The cabin had everything we needed. Internet was fine for streaming movies. I was a little worried when I saw the single window unit air conditioner, but with the 3 ceiling fans, it was completely adequate in very hot weather.

Relaxing getaway, great fishing. The driveway to the property was rocky and not great for my little prius, would recommend all wheel drive.

We had a great time at The Cabins of Lake Desolation ! It was a fun and relaxing time away ! The Pine Tree Lodge was perfect with a great view ! Robb was very responsive and a great host!  We would definitely come back ! 

We loved our stay. Info given was very helpful. Place was beautiful and clean. Lake was serene and great fishing. Would love to return, didn’t want to leave.
