This property was a great location for our stay. Layout worked out well for the family as the downstairs was like a separate living space with sleeping. Had 3 adult boys down there and 2 couple up stairs. Overall great stay and would return here.

Perfect location! Short walk to the beach and town. The house was spacious although we spent most of our time on the back covered lanai overlooking the lush gardens and mountains. The heated outdoor shower was a favorite amenity after a day at the beach. Thank you Watson family for sharing your piece of paradise!

The house was perfect, great location, they had everything you would need to take to the beach, and then some. So appreciative of everything the Watson Home had to offer. We loved the lanai and enjoyed the mountain views and all the birds, even the bird seed! Kauai Vacation Rentals made the whole process super easy with checking in and out and setting everything up before hand. Highly recommend them and this home. Would stay there again if I return to Hanalei with a group of 6-8!

The location of this house to the beach was great! Short 5 minute walk and there was a wagon for pulling chairs, umbrella, cooler, and boogie boards which were all available at the house for your use. The back porch was our favorite part of the house and we ate most meals. The kitchen was well stocked and the gas grill was simple to use. The only issue we had was the house was hot. We had to close up the bedrooms at night because the only source of ventilation was glass siding doors in the bedrooms. Due to an increase in break ins on the island we weren’t comfortable leaving the doors open and using the screen doors open for ventilation. Air condition in the bedrooms would definitely make for a better stay. The house was clean and the rental company responded to our issues immediately.

The Watson House was perfect for our multigenerational family! Our son, his wife and their 10 month old baby were were so pleased to have their own space downstairs in the one bedroom studio. Baby could nap while the grownups hung out upstairs. I loved the spacious back deck for lounging, as well as for enjoying our dinners. It had a glorious view of the lush back garden and the majestic Kauai mountains. It was well stocked with beach outing gear. The beds were extremely comfortable. I would have enjoyed a larger selection of herbs and spices, as well as better quality body soaps. As an owner of a vacation rental myself...I also provide nice shampoos/conditioners. The location is perfect...an easy walk to town and to Hanalei Beach. I would definitely stay in this house again. Thanks!

Hanalei Tranquility
This was our 8th trip to Hanalei and our second time staying in the Watson Home. We love this house and would stay here again. It is clean and light and roomy-- a great space for a group (we were 8 adults)--of family and friends to relax and hang out. Great access to the beach via the walking path near by. The kitchen is well-stocked (we cook a lot) as is the gear room with: 6 beach chairs, many ice chests, two umbrellas, and two boogie boards. The back deck on the second floor overlooks a verdant green jungle scene and is a lovely place to nap or play cards or just hang out. It is a home...you can tell someone owns it and cares for it and that you are getting to share their special vacation home. The Kaua'i Vacation Rental company was fantastic to work with--very responsive and kind.

Super Convenient Location
What a wonderful, comfy home right near the beach and downtown Hanalei shops! We had everything we needed to make our vacation perfect and relaxing, including a nice blender to make fresh fruit smoothies every morning. The owners are fantastic to work with as well!

We spent a week here over Thanksgiving and enjoyed a phenomenal stay. It was larger than we were expecting, completely set up with a terrific kitchen, lots of space, boogie-boards, and the location couldn't have been better.
There were six of us -- my wife, my two kids (ages 7 and 11), and two grandparents. The place was large enough that we all had our own space and we didn't drive each other crazy. Everything is a two to ten minute walk. Beach = two minutes. Center of town = 6 minute walk. Fish market = 9 minute walk. We just went to the fish market every day and made our own sushi. Ne'pali coast is close as well.
Rooms are comfortable and the owners were an absolute delight throughout entire rental process. This is a special home. Hoping we can make it someday. Thank you!

"A Wonderfully Relaxing Stay..."
Our family of four had a wonderful time here in Hanalei Bay. The house was perfect for our family and we instantly felt right at home. We went on to a five day stay at a resort in Oahu, but the whole time kept wishing we had just stayed here instead. We are already planning our return!! Mahalo!!!

Great Home
The Hanalei home was great, everything we had hoped for, The beach was a 2 minute stroll at most and we could see the ocean from our surround windows in the house. We particularly enjoyed waking up to the birds and the silouette of the palm trees that we could see from our bed. We will be back.

Charming Home in an Ideal Hanalei Location with Great Views
Sitting above the street with wonderful views of the bay and mountains, this comfortable home provided the perfect accommodations for our young family of five. We loved being able to easily access the beach, the short walk to town and lounging in the comfortable living room. The backyard is spacious and the home feels surprisingly private. You wouldn't get much more paying twice as much across the street.

A comfortable and delightful home with a Hanalei Bay view; easy walking distance of the beach and town center. Beach amenities, chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel gear are provided and in good condition.
All in all a perfect get away location surrounded by many recreational opportunities including numerous beaches and Napali Coast.

Amazing Hanalei Bay
Myself, Fiancee and 9 month old son stayed at the property for two months from October 15th 2010 to Dec 15th 2010. I couldn't have picked a better place for us to stay. The location is fantastic being only a 100 yards from a small path that leads you right onto the middle of Hanalei Bay beach itself, a 200 yard walk in all. In my opinion this is the best part of the beach as it is hard to access with little parking nearby, so this part of the beach is always the quietest. If you like the beach more busy then a stroll on the beach 300 yards in either direction will get you this. The beach itself is one of the best I've ever seen, ever changing, always beautiful, never busy. The home is super comfortable and cosy with a great deck and huge garden out the back and is only a short 5 min stroll from the centre of town, again perfect. The owners very kindly let you use any gear they have to hand, umbrellas, a couple of surfboards, boogie boards, huge beach canopy for the beach...always a great help when you're on holiday with children. At this time of year its possible to surf almost everyday and there are generally places for all levels along the beach. Experts can hit the reefs further offshore if necessary. This home couldn't have been better for us and I'd recommend it to anyone. The sums of money to stay on the beachfront itself are just ridiculous and this home is only a pleasant 200 yard stroll away.

Our stay at the Watson House has been a dream come true. All the beauty of Hanalei - the Bay, the mountains, the breezes, the birds, the light, soft rains - has been ours right here. The house and garden became a home for us where we were able to experience the sheer magic of the North Shore.

We just loved your home in Hanalei Bay. We rented
cruiser bikes and seldom used a car. We biked
several times to the end of the road in Haena to the
State Park-what an awesome ride. We met so many
ski friends on the beach from Jackson Hole and
Telluride. You really found a special place. We
called it Telluride with an ocean. We used the
beach/sand toys every day. Thanks again for giving
us the opportunity to experience Hanalei in the
