It would have been helpful to have instructions for operating the washing machine, which was much different from ours at home. I looked up the user's manual online. Otherwise, everything was great.

Overall the view, location and surroundings were great. The unit is in terrible need of an update. Blinds were broken, very old furnishings. It really looks like unit has not had any updates in at least 30 years. The bathroom tile and shower head have been updated though. Kitchen has all the needed supplies and plenty of silverware and cookware. It was clean. The covered porch has a very small table with 4 chairs that are very uncomfortable but we did enjoy our coffee over looking the pool and unrestricted view of the ocean. For the price I would definitely pick a newer more comfortable unit. But we booked last minute and it was over Labor day weekend which was a short stay so we couldn’t be too picky. Love Wild Dunes but the unit has so much more potential with just some TLC.

While the condo was very clean overall, we have several maintenance type issues (fans not working, outlets not working, TV not working, etc.) that weren’t addressed before check in. Hopefully they are addressed before the next guest. The biggest complaint is the furniture was worn and dirty.

Clean, good location for easy access to pool/beach, exactly as advertised. I would stay there again.

The condo was perfect from the location to the setup. Port o call is a perfect location on the resort. Beaches are quiet and surf is perfect.

The only complaint I have right now is the fact that we had to do some cleaning once we arrived. The shower head had mold all over and some of the dishes were not clean, the blinds over the one window in the family room was broken (so think some maintenance /cleaning could have been a little better). Over all love the area and the location and had a blast. We certainly come back.

The bed was boxsprings but we were exhausted from all the beach activity so we didn’t miss our memory foam too much. You can see, hear and smell the ocean from the screenroom. The kitchen was stocked with pans and utensils so we were able to cook. The condo was pretty much as represented in the listing. .

I could find nicer towels at Target.Also, the drain in the bathroom sink was strange - there was no way to close the drain to fill the sink with water for shaving. I had to reach under the vanity to open and close the drain. But I understand that this can't easily be fixed without replacing the whole sink.When we first arrived, our feet got dirty from walking barefoot on the floors. Maybe they were only vacuumed but not washed before our arrival?

Kitchen was vey sparsely supplied. It had a coffee pot but no filters! No salt and pepper even in the kitchen. We have been in other condos that had supplies in the kitchen to be used. We don’t mind buy spices, aluminum foil etc but we should have know that this condo had nothing.screen door at entry had a broken hook and could not be locked at directions on how the tvs worked and they were a nightmare. We finally had to call island really maintainance to have a great guy come and try to fix the issue in the family room. It took him 30 mins to fix. Very complicated. Never was able to fix the bedroom tv. Don’t want to go on vacation and search for things in the condo not to find them. Would stay away from this one.

This unit has a great view and is equipped and has all you need for vacation. Easy access to the beach and pool. The unit does need some updating and repairs throughout the condo. Overall, we always enjoy our stay at Wild Dunes and the loctation is great!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Port of Call. Great ocean view from our 2nd story screened in porch. Definitely would recommend.

Nice facility

We were very surprised when we saw the beautiful view of the ocean from the 2nd floor. The floor plan was perfect for the 2 of us along with nicely decorated rooms. Very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed Port of Call and will be back as we often are in the Charleston area. Thank you! Sally and Joe.

Property was very nice. Our only complaints was I had to physically go to the office for check in and all they gave us was a code for the property. That was frustrating. Reservations and confirmation was automated so why not check in?

Everything was great except it was annoying to have to stop at a separate location to check in. I feel like I haven’t had to do that in years. Could definitely be easier

We felt at home - comfortable. It was stocked with everything we needed. The only thing I would mention is that it’s on the second floor with no elevator. This was not a problem for us - good workout hauling luggage. The one pool we spent a little time at was nice. It’s near the playground area which looked like a nice place for kids. It was quiet when we were there. I would certainly stay here again.

The bedding delivered was for the wrong unit, received D301s linens therefore the Queen sized sheets did not fit the king sized bed. Problem was not raised and we improvised. Upon arrival the Wifi was not working and after a quick inspection, the appropriate cable between the DSL router and WiFi we disconnected. I called the main desk but did not get any assistance. I had to figure out the issue and I corrected myself. The overall space is out of date by at least 15 years. Painted over painted surfaces gave off a 1980's feel throughout the stay and bathroom usability was tough for 2 people. Tile floor from the 1990s was also out of date and not comfortable with grout dirty. I would say given the age of this unit, a deep clean cannot fix the lack of attention to updating. Light bubs did not match, i/e daylight 5600K bright "blue" daylight color lights mixed with warm 3200K gave the place a very odd feel. The main door (screen door) was also an issue opening the wrong way against the direction you are approaching leaving no room between the door and railing which is dangerous. I recommend getting rid of these as they are also a throw back to the early 1980's pre-Hurricane Hugo. Last and nothing much to do with this aged unit, the property has zero security measures. No cameras in the parking lot of building. On our last night, one of our mountain bikes that was double locked to the bike rack was stolen. Its value was over $2,000. IOP police came and were very professional. The Wild Dunes Security never showed up after the dispatch call was made. IOP Police Report final comment as a frequent visitor to the IOP (not the Wild Dunes) and Folly Beach exceeding 25 days per year is how can an upscale gated community with gate security not have passive security at the furthest part of their property? We lost a bike, it can be replaced. Disappointed and will not recommend Wild Dunes.
