We’ve come to Steamboat for decades and this property rates now as one of our favorite places. We love Tree Haus location. But a car is required. Important things note: Angela was wonderful to communicate with and extremely responsive. We had plenty of amazing snow and the driveway was cleared promptly to get out to the slopes! Definitely need the 4 wheel drive in winter. Nice layout for family and very well maintained! The views and the private hot tub overlooking the mountain priceless. Highly recommend!

Really good place and you could easily have multiple small families. The view of the mountain range is way better than it shows in the photos. Great neighborhood for walking as well. Close enough to downtown Steamboat without the noise. Just a perfect location.

I'm tempted to leave a negative review just so that the calendar doesn't fill up--we'll definitely be back. But the truth is that this home is spectacular. The views are magnificent. There is plenty of room for lounging inside and out, including a cozy hot tub with a killer view. Like I said, we plan to be repeat customers.

Our family had so much fun during our stay at this property. The house is great and is in an excellent and convenient location to town and the ski resort. The big windows in the living room give you a beautiful view of the ski resort too. We have so many pretty pictures. The hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing and they have a little heated pad walkway from the back door to the hot tub which is really nice. The bedrooms were all very nice and clean as well. The yard is sloped on the side which is perfect for kids to sled down. The owner was responsive and texted to make sure everything was going well for us. We really enjoyed our stay and will consider this property again for our next Steamboat vacation!

Our experience at this property was excellent. Highly recommend, can’t say it enough . Awesome communication with the owner, wide open space, the view of the mountain was breath taking and the location was perfect for all the things that we were there to do. Our family really enjoyed our stay. The home was perfect for our two groups with plenty of space to spread out, the views were beautiful and the hot tub was great to come home to every day! Angela was extremely fast to respond to all questions through out our two week stay. Thanks again!

We stayed at this property between Christmas and New Years as a large family gathering. The property is wonderful! Waking up to the view of Steamboat never got old. We had plenty of space to gather for a meal together as a group of 9, but also had enough space to enjoy time away from the group. The owner was always available to answer questions, and provided good recommendations for local businesses. We prepared most meals in the house, as it was well equipped. The location is ideal for staying at Steamboat. My family has already asked about returning to this fantastic place!

We enjoyed our 4 night Tree Haus stay! The patio was a favorite as well as the hot tub. Nature high point, we had a large moose travel through the yard one lazy afternoon. Angela, the manager, was attentive and responsive. We especially enjoyed the quiet of the neighborhood, tranquility reigns here!

Property was in a great location, had a great view but yet it was close to downtown and the outdoor activities we enjoyed.

Will definitely rent again when coming to Steamboat. It fit our family’s needs and was clean. Thanks again.

This home is in a nice, quiet neighborhood and has great views from the deck and new hot tub. Comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen. Easy access to town and hiking, but also just nice to chill out at the house or walk around the neighborhood. Hoping we can stay here again in the future.

This was a beautiful property. Comfortable beds, warm and clean hot tub, great kitchen fully stocked with appliances. It’s a short drive to the ski resort, but I recommend getting AWD. The house came with all the amenities you would need. Barry was quick to respond to our messages. Highly recommend staying here.

Owner was very accommodating and the house is very spacious

We rented this exact same property last year and enjoyed it so much that we decided to get it again this year! It’s a very clean and well located home in a beautiful neighborhood and the view is wonderful! It works out perfectly location wise for all of the activities we do. Our group enjoys visiting Colorado every new year and we hope we can make it an annual thing for years to come. Thank you for the hospitality!

This property worked well for 6 adults and 1 teenager. Privacy was provided in the various rooms. Some minor repairs should be made. Burnt out light bulbs indoors and outdoors need replacement and cleaning. Overall, this location was well worth the money that we spent. We would return again next year.

Comfortable home, great location in relation to the town, still had parts that were under construction, good for family gatherings

Overall - excellent location and views to the mountains and wild life. Very nice interior finishes and great floor plan for multiple family gatherings. The Owner Barry was very helpful in getting us settled in, but there were multiple "little things" that made us feel like the property was not fully inspected and 100% Guest-ready for us prior to our arrival which took away many hours of our vacation in having to work thru these issues with the Owner over the phone. At the end of the day, not a huge deal, but frustrating that we had to help get the property 100% ready and operational for our 100% enjoyment. Those frustrations aside, I would totally stay there again, given that we don't encounter a similar circumstance and are guaranteed that the house is fully inspected prior to our arrival.

Lots of space for 3 families to live, sleep and eat! Great views of Steamboat mountain ski resort, easy 5 minute drive to the Meadows parking lot and a very quiet residential setting close to downtown. The hot tub got a workout! Very nice home! Of note, no one was there to meet us when we arrived, but we were able to get into the house, just had to wait to get more information about access codes and washer/dryer info from the owner. The owner did check in with us after we contacted them to make sure our stay was going well. We appreciated the chance to stay there!

We had three families there and was plenty spacious for all of us....

This year we did an adults only family reunion in Steamboat Springs. We love the mountains, but this was our first time in Steamboat. We will definitely come back with the kids next time. There are so many activities they would enjoy, like the Winter Carnival... We had such a blast! We brought our snowmobiles and were thrilled that the house has so much room for parking. There are so many great places to ride. That was the most fun for some of our family. The rest of our group would not come off of the ski slopes, except to eat or sit in the hot tub. The town is great, but the house is the perfect place to return at the end of the day after we had worn ourselves out. There is so much room to relax, thaw out, and enjoy each other's company around the fireplace. The hot tub was perfect too. You can see the slopes from right there at the hot tub! The owner was helpful with a few special requests we had (Thanks Barry!). We would definitely like to return next year. The only thing that could have made it better was if we had more time to stay. We will definitely plan better next time. Next time, we will plan for a full week, or more.

We are three families with kids that share the house which it accommodates with no problems. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out, yet a nice open Kitchen/Dining/Living room area to socialize. This is our 2nd time staying here and the owners are very responsive if you need anything. Without a doubt, we'd stay here again. I'd give it 4.5 stars if it would let me. Specific to the house, nice place with many updated parts but a few areas could use a little attention. The bottom bedroom off the front entrance is showing it's age along with the shower area. Hot tub is very clean and awesome to use after a full day on the slopes. Which brings us to getting to the slopes. Very easy as it's a straight after out of the neighborhood and just a few miles away to the free parking lot with bus shuttle. Very easy to get to and use. Only slight negative is the "winter maintenance" aspect. Hot tub area and deck (snow almost to the top of the handrails) had not been shoveled in quite some time. This was addressed promptly after the phone call. Also, the driveway was pretty packed down with snow which we'd recommend 4wd for sure in the winter. While the kind of storm you dream of happened the first 24 hours of our stay (24" of new snow!) and packed down already, we managed to get our 4wd's stuck a few times. Watch out for the extra space/parking area on the left of the driveway. With the slope of it, a Silverado 1500 met it's match! Eventually got it out, but took a bit. Last, the gas grill was not accessible in the event you planned to use it in the winter. Buried in snow next to the hot tub. Thanks for sharing your home with us Barry! -CO based families

WE had such as good time- there was a lot of space, and the lofts for the kids to play was wonderful. the view was fantastic= we watched the skiers and the fireworks through the windows on New Years Eve.

Barry and Suzanne were great in responding to our questions and giving suggestions for places to eat and things to do other then skiing. Thanks for a fun week in Steamboat!

We were looking for someplace centrally located for all of our family to get together and reconnect. We have people on the west coast and the east coast, Texas and Montana, so beautiful Colorado seemed like the most likely spot for us. Within Colorado, we were looking for a place with nearby hiking, away from the city. Steamboat Springs was the perfect mountain location. We were lucky to find this large home on VRBO at a great price for our large group. There is a lot of space in this big house. Our kids and grandkids were able to play in the yard while the adults enjoyed sitting on the huge deck, enjoying the view of the mountains. We mostly relaxed at the house, but did venture out for some hikes on Emerald Mountain. We also loved eating at Winona's and Johnny B Goods. The owner of this house had sent us some great recommendations for places to eat, but we didn't make it to all of them. All in all, our trip was fun and relaxing. All the family enjoyed it. We would recommend this home and Steamboat Springs for anyone looking for a mountain retreat.

I brought my family for a little time away during October. We needed a break from our hectic schedules and Steamboat Springs is the perfect location for that. The weather was cool at night but comfortable during the day. Perfect for hiking, walks around town, and drives in the country. The house is great, even the picky teens loved it. Everyone got their own bedroom. There is lots of room to sit around the fireplace or hide out in a quiet spot, if that is what you want. The host was great, sent us some fun ideas on places to visit. And he was very fast to respond when we had questions about how to work the fireplace. We saw some deer in the yard of the home, that was quite a nice surprise. We cooked on the grill a few times, and ate in town a few times. Everything about our stay was perfect and we plan to come back next year.

We came to the Steamboat area to enjoy the fall colors and the quiet season for some Rest and Relaxation. The mountains and trails are so beautiful in the fall. We LOVED the house! The views of the mountains are better than we could have hoped for. We spent every evening sitting outside and enjoying the cooler weather and the beautiful colors. The temperatures were getting close to the freezing mark at night, making the hot tub extra nice. About the house, there are plenty of large rooms, perfect for our extended family. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to make some great family meals. There are cozy nooks all over the house, so anytime someone needed some quiet time, there were plenty of comfy spots. We really enjoyed playing games in the large living room around the fireplace. The whole place is really beautiful. We felt pretty spoiled. As for Steamboat and the surrounding area, we loved the trails, including Emerald Mountain, Fish Creek Falls, and Mad Creek. We also recommend anyone visiting the area be sure to take in the Yampa River Botanical Park. Really beautiful! Our host also recommended some cool things to do, including the hot springs. That was a blast! We definitely plan to return, though our next visit will have to be during ski season. We can't wait!

The house was not cleaned well. The pictures show an outside table and chairs and there were only two chairs. The house needs a lot of maintenance. Shower in the master is very low pressure. The outside deck had nails sticking up that we hammered down. Some of the ceilings fans were so noisy that you could not use them at night. We had to call to get the hot tub working. Some of the mattresses should be replaced. The house was for sale and right before we came (after paying) they told us there would be real estate showings. That might have been ok if we got notice and could schedule a convenient time but we did not get notice. On the bright side, the view from the main room is beautiful but we really needed outside furniture. And the house is spacious.
