The home was inviting and very clean. The views were beautiful and the whale sightings as well as sunsets were a plus. The pool was very close which made it convenient.

So the view is amazing. Location and neighborhood as well. The condo it self needs a little attention. Beds are very comfortable but not enough covers. Beds need comforters of some kind. Kitchen stovetop needs serviced. Rusty knives and skillets need replaced. Headboards are not attached to the bed frames. Sectional slides and comes apart into several pieces. Honestly some inexpensive upgrades would make the stay more comfortable.

Views are spectacular. So fun to see the whales playing ... right from our lanai. The condo and grounds were very well kept; Beach club is just a block away. Loved the ocean sounds and breezes. The two story layout worked perfectly for our multi-generation family.

Spacious and comfortable. Great whale watching from the lanai. Close to shops and restaurants. 5 min to a nice beach with turtles and snorkeling. If it was for sale I’d buy it.

Exactly as advertised, even better. Clean, well maintained with tons of amenities. Very safe area with a pool, hot tub and restaurant that are wonderful. Very easy check in and out process with very quick responses. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home.

Pictures of the view do not do justice! Truly spectacular from both balconies! Club pool and restaurant were fantastic. Great set up - plenty of sun and shade. Great food for lunch and dinner (dinner outside with view of ocean at sunset). Great location! Beach recommendations were spot on … we went to 3 beaches that were all different from each other and all great! We do not want to leave this escape to paradise!

Perfect property and location.
The property was exactly as described. The ocean front location was so peaceful and provided excellent views of sunsets. There were adequate supplies to last us the week. The resort amenities we used were great. The restaurant and bar provided plentiful food and drinks (alcoholic drinks were not weak at all). Top notch restaurant, bar and service, not to mention convenient. VERY convenient location to two shopping centers, including grocery stores, coffee, gas, and restaurants. Would book here again without hesitation.

Nice condo with great view
The condo was as described, clean, and had a fantastic view. The rental company was helpful in most areas. The only problem we had was that there was a home improvement project going on in the condo beneath us which was very noisy (table saw cutting tile and granite) on the lanai for our entire 5 day stay including Saturday and Sunday. When I contacted the rental company they said they did not know it would be happening during our stay, but could not find out any info on how long the project would last as the neighborhood does not require notification of any construction work. We asked to be moved after the second day of the noise disturbance, but they said that wasn’t possible. The rental company offered us a 5% discount for the noise disturbance. Unfortunately, the noise really hampered our ability to relax while on vacation.

Fabulous view!
We had a wonderful stay. The property was true to the pictures…very clean but maybe a tad outdated. That being said, we had an amazing time. The views can’t be beat. Daily sightings of whales from the lanai. The condo was stocked with all the essentials and easily accommodated five of us. I would highly recommend!

Very nice property in an ideal location
The property was exactly as described in the listing and beyond what we expected and the ocean front view was beyond compare. The location was perfectly situated within easy driving distance of great beaches, restaurants and shopping. We are happy we chose the Waikola Beach area as our base and it was an easy drive to all our activities on the north side, Hilo and Kona.
We highly recommend this property and Property Manager.

Great location, amazing ocean view
We have stayed at Halii Kai before but this was our first time in this particular condo. It was very clean, tastefully decorated and well appointed. The ocean view is spectacular. We enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets daily from both lanais. The rental management company was very communicative and easy to work with. David, the concierge, provided helpful information regarding dining and activities. We highly recommend this unit and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful condo and location
Great condo and ocean view! Fantastic restaurant associated with the condo complex, reasonably priced, excellent service, and wonderful ocean views. Enjoyed playing pickle ball. Great location to other superb beaches, snorkeling, and food market. Check-in time that we were emailed was different than the actual, so we ended up checking in the next day. Seems was a covid change that wasn't updated in the email. Only meant that we couldn't access the restaurant the first evening. The management was super helpful in resolving an air conditioner issue--turns out sliding doors need to be sealed closed and temperature not set below 72oF, otherwise the AC won't work. Also a minor toilet issue fixed immediately. Definitely would return.

This condo might be the best spot on the coast to watch the whales. Any time you looked out, there were whales , sometimes very close. Spectacular. It would have been great if the condo could have provided binoculars. Other things we would have liked to have: serving /mixing bowls in the kitchen. Hooks to hang wet towels and bathing suits. Some place to wash sandy feet. The cooktop didn t work very well- hardly hot enough to boil water. But these were minor negatives. It was a new ce place to stay.

Halii Kai 15 F condo
This is a very well laid out 3 bedroom condo in an upscale resort. Pool/restaurant a half block away. Nice walking trail in front. We watched the whales from the lanai everyday. The upstairs lanai off the master bedroom was great to fall asleep to the waves crashing on the rocks below each night. There is no beach, but a 15 minute walk north on the trail brings you to 49 sand beach where the snorkeling was easy and amazing.

beautiful condo
This condo is oceanfront with a drop dead view. The cleanliness of the property and the upkeep of everything was top notch. we will definitely be coming back to this property as we come two to three times a year to the island.

Location is great it’s very quiet and close to the pool the restaurant and bar is very convenient and workout area overlooks the ocean
Inside the condo the appliances are state of the art kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to cook meals for the family
All 3 beds were very comfortable each room had a tv with cable and roku
It’s a perfect rental for a family it’s big enough that everyone has enough privacy the living room and kitchen have ocean views downstairs
The master Lani is big and comfortable we slept with the slider open with the screen closed to hear the ocean at night and the sunsets from the patio is fantastic
You can walk easily over to the Hilton property takes about 10 minutes they have amazing lagoon dolphins 🐬 shopping etc
Definitely recommend this unit you will not be disappointed

Family Hawaiian vacation.
We decided on this condo for our first trip to Hawaii. Could not have picked a better place. The location was excellent and close enough to what we needed but far away enough from any city congestion. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to be back here again in the future.

Amazing Waikoloa Vacation
Our ten days at Hali'i Kai did not disappoint, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! The unit was definitely worth the money for an oceanfront vacation on the Big Island. Beautiful views, ample space, comfortable accommodations, the condo lived up to the hype provided via the description and photos on the VRBO website. Everything was neat and clean upon arrival, we had no trouble getting into the unit. All the appliances worked as expected, no issues with the AC, a great selection of beach toys in the closet, zero complaints!! The property is beautifully maintained / landscaped and the pool was amazing. The selection of shopping and restaurant options close by were so convenient. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to the Big Island. Mahalo for a great vacation in beautiful Hawaii!!

Beautiful home overlooking the ocean!
This is a beautiful property that overlooks the ocean. We saw whales and beautiful ocean sunsets. This is a short 2 min walk to the Pool Club. The kitchen is fully stocked with so many amenities. I highly recommend this property.
