It was beautiful spring weather - warm temps, sunny skies and the azaleas in the area were in full bloom. We played golf at 9 different local courses (Legacy and Longleaf were favorites). There is also a nice public practice facility at Knollwood Fairways on Midland Road. The layout of the house was perfect for our group, with multiple "living" spaces so we could be together or on our own. We especially enjoyed spending time on the porch, watching golfers roll by, having breakfast in the morning and cocktails at night. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed (a toaster with 4 slots rather than just 2 would have been helpful at a house of this size, just a suggestion!) We appreciated the dishwasher and washer/dryer. The grill on the back patio was a great amenity, and the fact that they stock an extra propane canister on site was a great detail (we did not need it, but it was nice to know it was there!) We enjoyed TV in the living room - you watch through the Spectrum App, which took a bit of time to figure out when we first arrived. The internet was strong, and the rental folks supplied the log-in information upon arrival. The neighborhood was quiet and great for dog walking! We appreciated the excellent "welcome" notebook the owners put together, and the number-pad front door lock kept us from having to keep track of or share keys. The beds were all very comfortable. It was nice to have the desk in one of the bedrooms so work did not have to be done in the living areas. We felt very much at home and hope to return again. Thank you for your hospitality!

This house is spacious with large rooms, a nice patio and sunroom. Although the kitchen is well-supplied with utensils, dishes, pots and pans, the electric stove top isn't working properly. This needs repair! The beds are comfortable; linens and towels good quality. We enjoyed our stay.

We were in town over New Years for a Junior golf tourney and stayed for a week. We loved the property. Very clean, spacious, well stocked/appointed, great location on a golf course, close to Pinehurst GC and old town. Wonderful neighborhood to walk in. The new linens and beds were very appreciated. The outdoor screened porch was a favorite to watch sports. It felt like a home away from home. Would definitely stay here again.

The location of this home was perfect for exploring both Southern Pines and the Village of Pinehurst. This house is on a quiet street and backs up to the golf course so it was very peaceful at night. There is space to cook a meal together, enjoy some games in the family room, sit on the screened porch in the mornings & evenings, and retreat to the huge bedrooms in the evening. We're planning to stay here for our next visit to Pinehurst. We felt right at home :)

Great house. We enjoyed our stay.

The location was great and the house was as described, but the living room and enclosed porch furniture is extremely uncomfortable. It's the last thing you want to sit on after a day of golf or to watch TV. When the shower handle fell off in a guest's hand and couldnt be reattached, we were told by the management company that they couldn't get a plumber out for five days and they offered no solution. So we had to use a pliers we borrowed from friends to turn the shower on and gently push it off. This condition was in effect for all 21 days of the rental and had we hosted 10 people as advertised, everyone would have had to use one shower in the master bath if we hadn't figured out a way to turn the shower on in the guest bathroom. I have requested an adjustment to the daily rate for this inconvenience, but to date have not received a reply or a refund. I would not recommend renting this property based on the furniture condition and the inattention and unwillingness to do the right thing from the management company.

Due to an unforeseen maintenance issue the management moved us to a different property on a Sunday morning. This company's response early in the morning was perfect. They get customer service right. Both properties were in pristine shape. The issue was beyond their immediate control. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back.

Place is great. Location is wonderful. Close to golf and all the key shopping required to make the visit work well. Lots of stuff to do in the house too - cornhole, frisbee, putting games, etc. Had no problems and house is as advertised. Great base of operation for a pinehurst trip.

I knew the property was dated from past reviews. House was fairly well maintained and was clean and nice neighborhood. Biggest criticism is that furniture is extremely uncomfortable to sit on. While in ok condition it is low and needs to be replaced as it is obviously been around a long time. Bathroom lighting in hall bath is horrible but pretty typical for a house this age. Tub faucet very hard to turn on. No ice maker in refrigerator. It is apparent that the house is loved by the owners and with all that said is a nice house for the age but needs some updates.

This is our second trip to this home. It's situated on a fairway of the Pinehurst #3 Course, so it's close to golf but far enough away to be extremely relaxing at night. Perfect area for walks at night, we met some great people who live in the neighborhood.

Location is very convenient to the clubhouse. Very clean house with all the essentials met and back patio to enjoy the morning/evenings on. Will certainly stay here again in the future!

The home was impeccably clean and wonderfully situated on a golf course with big windows to let in the light. The kitchen was well stocked.

The air handler is a tad noisy but they are looking into that so likely settled by now.

The location is great, the house is very well equipped and the neighborhood is very quiet. Some of the furniture needs to be updated, especially the couch and chairs in the living room.

This house HAS it all. We had a great stay. The kids played US Kids tournaments. While the stay ranked positive (5/5) on all points - the only issue would be - the cleaning. I wish the managers can hire a better cleaning service? This didnt interfere with the stay, but one can say that the cleaning service is just not thorough - there is dust in some obviously visible places. While we pay a cleaning fee, I hope the management uses that to hire a high quality cleaning company. Finally, would stay again!!

Kitchen is very well equipped with what appears to be new silverware and dishes. Golf theme throughout the property and view out the two (non opening) rear patio doors of Pinehurst No. 3 very nice. BE AWARE: bathroom countertops are very low, like kids height but worked for us, however if you are over 6' it may be like giraffe drinking at the waterhole. Initially had problem with Wi-Fi but online maintenance request got me in touch with Matt at Sandhills Rental who was very helpful in resolving the issue. Florida room in back is nice screened in porch but brick patio needs power wash and some leveling. We didn't use outdoor grill but top cover seemed broken and BBQ counter had tiles broken. Master bath includes smallish tiled shower which needs cleaning and shower door is a little banged up. Overall was nice and would rent again.
