Easy to find, convenient location, comfortable place!

Really enjoyed this home! Great set up inside and lots of space outside to play. The bonus game room downstairs was a hit for our young adult kids and the ability to have our pup join us, truly made this a family event. Thank you for being dog friendly. Also the owner was a great communicator and also allowed us to start our weekend earlier by letting us in before 5. Thank you! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time. The cabin is clean and the location is perfect. We were able to bring the dogs with us which we loved. The kids and the dogs had a blast playing in the snow behind the cabin. We would stay here again.

This house is amazing! Cozy, comfortable and in the most beautiful place in the world. The host is responsive and has everything set up for easy entry and exit. What a fantastic property!

The cabin is cozy, clean, and centrally located. We have three young sons who loved playing and sledding in the open space behind the cabin. We went on a few fun day trips within 45 miles of the cabin, including tubing and snowboarding at soda springs and a visit to the Fun Quest arcade at GSR in Reno.

The house was everything we needed for 3 couples and we appreciated the fact that our dog was welcome.

First of all, Scott (the owner) is very responsive to all texts. The cabin is shy a few things which he will attend to. Perfect very basic cabin and GREAT for being able to take your dogs. Location is great in winter as well as summer.

It was a brief stay for my wife and me, but we loved this cabin and would definitely rent it again. Great communication with the owner. The place came as advertised and is in a great location.

Our family of 5 had a great time at the house over spring break. The kids played in the snow behind the house all day. Large house with plenty of room for our family.

Very responsive owner and a great place to stay

Lovely cabin so close to Tahoe Donner Downhill ski resort. Perfect for our family "workation". The home had all the amenities that you could hope for including a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and plenty of room for everyone! Scott was a great host and we appreciated his efforts to make our stay a pleasant one. Can't wait to return

Scott made our stay super comfortable and everything was easy to organize. We came at a time where there was a ton of snow and the steep driveway made it challenging but we managed. We'll be back again.

The home was well situated in the central Truckee area for skiing and exploring the area. Property was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies, towels, linens, detergent, soap, etc. The driveway is steep - so be aware in winter you WILL need 4-wheel drive as advised in the property description. We did not use the Tahoe-Donner facilities (gym, hot tub, etc) but it was available. The WIFI was strong; TV had Apple TV with all the usual channels available. Scott responded quickly to all my inquiries during my stay. We had such a good time we plan to book again for next year!

We stayed at this house from Christmas to New Years with two kids, two grandparents, and our dog. We were there during an unprecedented snow storm that closed all major highways and ski resorts. The house was very clean and cozy. The beds were extremely comfortable. We found everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. Scott was great about keeping us informed on local power and Internet outages as well as what we could expect regarding snow clearance, shops that might be open, etc. There was a Truckee-wide power outage on one day, but we used the wood burning stove to heat the house and were able to cook on the gas stove, so we stayed warm and well fed. And once skiing etc. opened up, we were very happy with the location which is very convenient to both the Tahoe Donner cross country and downhill skiing. Despite a rocky start due to the weather, we were able to get in five days of skiing, lots of sledding in the front yard, and plenty of quality family time. Hope to stay at this lovely house again in the future.

We spent a great week in Truckee at the Tahoe Donner Retreat. We were pleasantly surprised by the space we had to relax, this home had everything we would need and Scott was great to about correspondence. Our dog fell in love with the provided dog bed. Overall, a really great experience.

We had a wonderful time in the month of October with work/vacation in this beautiful cabin. It's located in a neighborhood with plenty of trails close by and really, just outside the front door. Nice restaurants and shops in Truckee were an unexpected surprise. We were fortunate to have the best fall and winter weather. When it snowed I felt like I was in a snow globe looking out the windows... wonderful way to work! Cabin had everything I needed and much more and was very spacious! Wi-Fi was great. I did purchase a 25-foot ethernet cable because I wanted to be hardwired during those Zoom meetings. Scott was extremely helpful and answered all questions quickly. I'm looking forward to coming back next year!!!

The house was clean, had everything we needed for our trip and was easily accessible. Good location and very nice owner!

It's a very nice cabin in a good area, but cleanliness was an issue. We specifically booked this place because of its overall rating, the price, it allows dogs, and states there are 3 separate beds (2 queens and 1 double). At arrival we saw that one of the bedrooms had bunk beds, which was not described in the listing and not okay with the person who stayed in that room. All the bedroom walls were covered with dirt. Dusty throughout the house. The front entryway and the back patio had not been blown or swept in quite a while so we had to clean all the chairs on the back patio that we wanted to sit on and it was hard not to track debris inside. Plenty of towels and extra linens were provided. On day of departure, when we stripped all the bed linens, we found that one couple had slept with a urine-covered comforter and duvet (unwashed, not stained!) during the three nights of the stay and all the bed pillows were stained yellow. This is a nice property that should easily deserve an excellent rating but cleanliness needs to be greatly improved.

Convenient location to downtown Truckee, this home had everything we needed for our month long “WFH” stay. We especially liked the easy access to the community hiking trails, and found most of our neighbors to be friendly or non existent except for weekends.

Typing one handed bc I broke quite a few bones on a bike ride THE FIRST DAY. I mention this bc we spent a lot more time in the house relaxing than planned and it was lovely. Nice amenities, good TV and wifi set up, very cozy. Despite the ER visit I’d say it was a trip $

We loved our stay in Truckee. The location of this VRBO was perfect for us, equidistant between our two kids. Scott was very responsive to our inquiries. The place was clean and comfortable and adequately furnished.

We had a lovely time at this home. The house was very clean. The house was actually more light filled and fresh than the pictures demonstrated. Scott was very responsive, though there was really little we needed to contact him for as our arrival and stay went smoothly. Because of covid It was only our immediate family of 4, but would be perfect for 2 families. The kids had fun sledding down the front hill. In the back it was just a beautiful view of trees.

Very well maintained, clean and warm cabin in a very quiet neighborhood. The house is very comfortable, has plenty of space and felt like home. The bonus room downstairs was great for kids hanging out. We enjoyed our stay. An owner, Scott was very responsive and all the instructions were so well organized and clear. Moreover I messed up with the calendar and booked one night more than we planned, and didn't figure it out till the time we left the cabin. Scott was so kind and quickly issued as a refund for the last night we didn't stay. We'd definitely hope to stay here again. Thank you Scott!

The house is under 10 min to downtown Truckee, grocery stores, and Tahoe Donner. Lovely neighborhood. The house was great to spend the week in!

Although we got there with two feet of snow...the cabin is very cozy, has a well stocked kitchen and very functional in a nice location. Best part was the owner is so responsive and GREAT. We will rent again in summer this time! Only marginal thing was they desperately need new linen and towels!! Thanks Scott!
