The Hummingbird House was a perfect homebase as we explored. The views from the wrap around deck are stunning. Margaret was a great host and very helpful, communicating with us and answering questions we had. We will always remember our time at The Hummingbird House, the beautiful water and delicious food.

This was our third trip to Exuma and hummingbird house did not disappoint. The property is beautiful and the house was very clean and had everything we may have needed. Margaret had great communication and answered any questions we may have had very quickly. We would love to come back and stay again.

From the moment we booked until we checked out Margaret was wonderful to work with and she quickly responded to any questions. Hummingbird house has incredible views and it off the beaten path. The location of the home in Great Exuma was great especially since our favorite beach is only 20 minutes away (Forbes Hill). We felt like we were in our own little world and heard nothing but nature. We were able to enjoy watching all of the birds and also stayed covered when the rain rolled in. The home was perfect for our family and the kitchen is well equipped. We also took advantage of the grill on numerous occasions which was great after a long day exploring. We made many memories on this trip. Thank you Margaret for sharing your home with us!

I just can’t say enough about our wonderful stay at Hummingbird House. We made our reservation about a year in advance and then needed to ask to make changes twice. Margaret was always quick to answer our messages and was extremely accommodating and extremely nice about it. So appreciated! We felt well prepared with all the info that was sent to us about the house and the area. The house was clean when we arrived and had everything we needed. It was lovely to have paper products to get started and to not have to pack beach towels in our luggage. The house is adorable! We loved being able to spend the day at the beach and then drive the hill to the house and relax on the amazing wrap around porch. The views are beautiful and we loved the visits by all the birds and checking out cool insects. We felt like we got a full island experience. If we are lucky enough to return to this beautiful island we would not hesitate to stay here again. ❤️

The property was completely fabulous! The host was very friendly and responded quickly to texts. We had a problem with the dishwasher, and the maintenance man was there within minutes and fixed the problem. Best VRBO we have ever stayed in by far. Thank you, Margaret!

My family and I stayed here for 9 nights. The house is off the beaten path, but you feel like a local fast. The view feels like paradise. The house is a short drive to all the beaches we visited. We felt safe and comfortable. Margaret was an excellent communicator. And the house had everything we needed.

Great hidden gem located close to Georgetown. Margaret was amazing and responded quickly to all of my messages and questions. My husband and 2 other friends stayed in Hummingbird house for 5 nights. the views from the front and back of the house are so beautiful. The home had everything we needed for a perfect little getaway. We ate in a couple of nights grilling out and enjoying those amazing views. The roads getting there are a little rough, but we rented a van and didn't have any problems. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and for the price, you can't beat it. I loved how high up we were. The view of the land was beautiful. The bird sounds were sweet. I also like the local music we'd hear in the distance, albeit infrequently. The home is very clean! The kitchen is well-equipped! The deck was where we ate our meals - delightful!

My friends and I (group of 5) loved this house in Exuma. It was extremely cozy and quiet in the area at night. We spent most nights on the deck laughing and talking about how amazing our trip was. The owner is very responsive and helpful. The house was extremely clean, accommodating, and inviting. I definitely would recommend this house if you want a peaceful quiet place to relax after your long days exploring Exuma.

Peaceful with STUNNING VIEWS!
Cozy, peaceful, comfortable with STUNNING VIEWS! If you are looking for a “home away from home” retreat where you will be closed to nature but yet just a 10 minute drive to town, this is the place! The hummingbird house is perfectly located closed to George Town, it is surrounded by lush vegetation and beautiful birds that visit the house daily, did I just say it has TO DIE FOR ocean views?! You will not believe all the turquoise water that you can see from the deck! Margaret, the owner, was AMAZING and available 24/7, she gave us great tips of places to visit and guided us through our stay, she even when ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us through the process for getting our Health Visas approved which is now a requirement to be able to enter to the Bahamas . The house is actually prettier than the pictures! amenities and space were exactly as advertised. you will not have a feeling of being at a resort/hotel BUT “at home”. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children, 9 and 13 years old), we were comfortable with the space and layout of the house, there was plenty of space for 2 more additional people if desired. We would definitely be back to this property! THANK YOU Margaret for making us feel welcomed and safe through our stay.

Ultimate Peace & Tranquility with views to match !
Absolutely perfect for us ! We loved it ! We spend our days out on a rented boat or exploring the island & coming back to Hummingbird House felt like coming “home” ! It was immaculate, A/C worked great, the kitchen was fully equipped & much appreciated as we cook a lot & on the few rainy days we were happy to relax on the veranda with a great breeze & just stare at the view. Watching the sand bar appear & disappear with the tide was great & at night the stars are amazing ! We WILL be back !

Tropical Paradise
We had such an awesome stay at this tranquil home. The house is surrounded by lush vegetation and the views are to die for. The home is very clean & well maintained. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The outdoor shower is a must! The property is very private & peaceful. Margaret is an absolute pleasure to deal with. The location of the house is fantastic for getting around, it’s just 5 mins into town. The locals are very friendly and we felt safe walking around. Make sure to visit Stocking Island, look for Wally at Elvis Water Taxi in town. Definitely have dinner at Blu On The Water, awesome view. You must also visit Haulover Bar & Grill in Rolle Town, tell Ishmael & Kenya that Chris & Dawna sent you :) they have beautiful property on the water, try to go when it’s low tide, you can walk out to an island across the way on the sandbar.

Amazing
Absolutely amazing we visited for our honeymoon and Margaret was awesome she was on the phone when i needed directions she helped keep us updated about weather and the house was beautiful clean bug free out of my whole wedding planning the honeymoon was the easiest i really wish they had more houses elsewhere so i can always rent from them i will definitely be coming back!!!

Margaret was so helpful and prompt in responding to all my emails with questions. When I got lost to find the house, she called me right away and stayed on the phone to guide me to the house. The house is absolutely charming with killer view of the turquoise sandbar waters! We would come back for sure.

Fantastic views!
My family and I stayed at Hummingbird House mid March. The location and house were perfect for us. The home is comfortable and very spacious with large wrap around porches and gorgeous water views all around. Obviously, this is where we spent most all of our time. The location is central and not far from Georgetown which makes it very convenient for shopping and exploring both ends of the island. Driving is easy but definitely recommend a small SUV or Jeep as some roads off the main highway can be rough. The homeowners Margaret and Mike were extremely responsive and eager to make sure we enjoyed our stay.

AMAZING HOUSE
This house was amazing! It was super clean and the view from the porch is beautiful! The drive isn’t far from anywhere you want to go. Make sure you check out Tropic of Cancer beach. You can’t beat the beautiful clean water. I can’t wait to return and we will be sure to stay here again.
