Everything worked, hassle free.

The cottage was clean and cute with a great price for my quick business trip.I am glad that I did not listen to one negative review with so many other excellent reviews for this cottage . I will definitely stay here in the future as business requires.

The property is as appears in the VRBO listing but, as a previous reviewer mentioned, shows a lot of wear. There is no potable water and after check in, was warned it could get me sick. A previous guest had shoved plastic bags in loose window frames, I’m guessing to keep water out. Many windows weren’t working and the glass door to the deck was inoperable. Sugar ants, common in the tropics, made cooking challenging and I recommend storing ALL FOOD AND ANYTHING WITH FRAGRANCE in the refrigerator. While the house is well furnished, some things, like the couch, are near the end of their lifespans. Clean, functional, but sagging and uncomfortable. A/C units, TV, and wifi worked well. Experienced two daytime power outages in one 5 day period—-not the fault of the owner but would make any remote worker’s day challenging. The view and neighborhood were nice. There’s a cute beach within a 20 minute walk (most beach is private in this area). If you’re coming to get away from it all and are cool with a part house rental/part camping bargain, this is a great place. If you need to remote work or need safe, reliable drinking water, no. When things didn’t work, like windows, the manager was helpful and sent maintenance staff. However, is was disconcerting that anytime I brought up a challenge (like arriving to find many windows open and unsure how to close and lock them) I was asked, “Well, what did you do???” With so many repairs that needed a little TLC, I decided it was better to not raise the with the owner/manager. I was frustrating to arrive at night and not have a bottle of water to drink—and learn from a note on the wall the tap water wasn’t safe to drink. The water cooler had been left unplugged and the remaining water in the base smelled unsafe to drink, with a bug floating in it. I spent a fair amount of money buying water every day—an expense that the listing didn’t make clear and the host didn’t point out when I said this was my first visit to the island. Instead, I left five days into a monthlong stay. Unable to find another place on the island within budget, I left the island. I didn’t feel like, based on prior engagements with the host, like it would be a kind conversation talking about the challenges with the house. To be fair, I don’t think they typically house remote workers. If you’re just going to the beach every day, eating out at a lot, and budget for water, this place could be a good fit.

However, the mattresses are not sturdy — you can feel the springs and if there are two of you, you will roll into each other all night long. Every slight move jiggles the bed. Sofas are caving in as well. All from good use I imagine. Overall a good deal but more run-down than we expected. Ant infestation on counter. The Atlantic and Caribbean are both within a few minutes’ walk. Immediate responses from owner.

It was incredible the house was nice clean an cozy and the homeowner kept in contact. Highly recommended

Enjoyed tlhe balcony view and breeze that kept the house pleasantly cool and open without having to rely on AC. Nice area to walk and close to several beaches and nice views of the entire rainbow area.

We loved Cat Nap! The house was much bigger than we expected and very comfortable. It’s centrally located between Rainbow Bay and Governors Harbour and we truly enjoyed our three nights in this home

Cat Nap is a wonderful house to stay at! Beach chairs, cooler, towels, fully equipped kitchen, tv, WiFi...we had everything we needed! The only thing we didn’t have is more time to soak up the sun and wiggle our toes in the sand!

My daughter and I loved our stay at Cat Nap! Easy access to cottage and centrally located to many great beaches, restaurants, and grocery stores. Eleuthera is an amazing and safe place to explore and the locals are so friendly and helpful!

We have stayed at the Cat Nap for the second time now for our visit. We really enjoy the house and our stay there.

The house is very charming and has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We took morning walks to Rainbow Bay beach for early swimming and it was perfect. We would definitely stay here again! Also, this is a very fair and reasonably priced property for the size.

We loved our stay at Cat Nap. It is centrally locates and great to come back to after spending all day at the beach. Melisa was a great host and we plan to return next year.

Very clean house in a quiet neighbourhood. Everything worked perfecttly. Melissa, the owner gave all necessary instructions and helped us with car rental. We have fallen in love with Eleuthera Island.

I recently returned from my stay at the cottage on 4/23/2018. I highly recommend it. The cottage had everything you need, was clean & was nicely decorated. Melissa responds very quickly to questions & suggested a car rental company. She even brought a new coffee maker immediately when I notified her that the coffee pit was cracked. It is a gorgeous island with beautiful beaches and friendly people. I would definitely stay again. Thanks Melissa!

If you are traveling to Eleuthera, do not look anywhere else but Cat Nap in Rainbow Bay!! This very spacious home will make you feel right at home while visiting this amazing island! Windows everywhere you look, beautiful hardwoods, huge kitchen, washer and dryer and amazing views! It’s so peaceful here and very easy to access. Close to many of the islands breath taking views. The direct tv was a nice perk for those nights when you just want to relax. Melissa came over and brought us fresh produce and brand new beach chairs!! It was great to meet her! Treat this perfect rental home like your own so many others can enjoy it like we did! We will be back for certain!!!

We cooked and enjoyed the family with the open floor plan. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning along with the view and fresh air. We have stayed multi times and like to call this place home.

The weather could not have been nicer this time of year. The house was clean and approx mid way to all sights and beaches to see. Eleuthra is a very quiet island and a great place to go if you're looking to relax. The only thing that was missing was beach chairs but overall it was clean and a nice place to stay.

As always Melisa and her beautiful home wasperfect. My rental car guy flaked on me at the last minute and Melisa with her local knowledge was able to get us a replacement and on our way to enjoy beautiful Eleuthera in short order and we were on our way once again. Thank again Melisa for your southern hospitality. Stayed here with family and couple and can’t beat it!!!

CAT NAP is a wonderful accomodation . Close to Raibow bay Beach and all other location in the island.

The house once again was clean and wellkept! Melissa was gracious and easy to deal wth. Just got back yesterday and am planning my next trip. That's melissa we'll see you in January. Chris and anita !
