Very pleased with our stay. Laid back an relaxed, boated, swam, hanging out on the dock. Cooked great food with great friends for my wife’s 40th! Plenty to do at the house! We enjoyed the shuffleboard a lot! Will definitely be returning! Thanks

Great covered dock for 2 boats with upstairs deck! not to bad of walk up to the house. Large rooms with lots of space to cook and gather together as a family. Yet spacious enough to separate for some quiet time. The younger adults very much enjoyed the ping pong table!

Thank you for allowing us to use your home! My family had a great time at this house on Norris Lake. The house is beautiful with many different areas for relaxing. Two beautiful decks with fireplaces and a screened in porch. It is very well equipped. We had a lot of fun with a shuffleboard table and corn hole. We created many wonderful memories from our week at the lake. Andrea and Brian were great hosts and very responsive.

We have been staying at Barefoot Landing every year since 2016. The kitchen has everything you need, ice maker is a plus, huge refrigerator, comfortable beds, two big decks and lots of room to get away for alone time. The cove is great as we spend most of our day on the dock now that the kids are older. Highly recommended for family gatherings.

We had 4 ski boats comfortably docked. Very close to slalom course. The house itself was huge and comfortable with many many amenities, fully stocked kitchen equipment and fun games.

We all enjoyed the week at Norris Lake in this property. A quieter part of the lake, made it more comfortable Large house, with two amazing (large) porches and a two-boat, two-story dock made a great lake experience.
Renters were easy to access and very helpful as well.

Great location as it was stated...best part of the lakes. Little disappointed with no toiletries, paper towels, garbage bags, dish soap...had to provide our own...which was listed...Very private and quite area...well kept... as pictures show...See you again....

This is our 7 th year coming to Norris! We absolutely love staying at Big Creek. The house and location are perfect for our large group. The owners are so nice and want to make sure we have everything we need. I highly recommend this house!!

Barefoot Landing accommodated both the young and the old very well. The extra large double sided refrigerator, chest freezer, commercial ice-maker, Blaze grill, and gas stove with a large griddle made cooking fun! The kitchen also had one of the largest islands I have ever seen!
One of the best features of this house was the dock and boathouse. It was easy to fish standing on the back of the dock, and the front of the dock with the ladder was fabulous for those who were into diving and swimming. There were a few more steps than we anticipated, but it was all doable. We had a wakeboard boat and a pontoon, and they weathered the occasional storm without a problem. The upper deck was wonderful for sunbathing and hanging out. The shuffleboard and the hot tub were a hit with everyone.
Sleeping spaces were spacious, and all of the regular beds were very comfortable. The children even commented how comfortable the bunkroom was! The mattresses on the bed and the trundle bed in the apartment over the garage were not quite as comfortable, but that was private and a great getaway.
The game room/garage needs updating -the pool table is badly dinged and the ping-pong table and basketball game are broken and unusable. The foosball game was the only game that was truly usable in that area.
Barefoot Landing is THE place to rent if you have multiple families or varying ages of people. I would certainly return to this property!

My friends and I spent three nights at Barefoot Landing and had a great time. Communication throughout the booking process and stay was easy and effective. Barefoot Landing has a stunning view of the lake from nearly all parts of the property. We most enjoyed the kitchen, deck and dock along with the multiple areas for evening outdoor fires. Our only thoughts of improvement include stocking the house with essential supplies, updating some of the game room items and checking for functionality of the amenities prior to move in. The hot tub was unfortunately down a pump and out of commission for the weekend, though Brian was quick to address our questions and issues. I would certainly recommend this property to friends or families looking for a quiet cove to enjoy.

This home was filled with everything you need to fill home away from home. This was amazing house amazing views everything about this house was great. My whole family enjoyed it and if I had to do this again, it would definitely be this home. Thank you Brian and Andrea for an amazing experience.

Our large family decided to ring in the New Year at Barefoot Landing, a VRBO rental. Despite being tucked away in a tranquil place with limited cell service, Wi-Fi is available and the property's amenities more than made up for it.
The heart of our celebration was undoubtedly the kitchen. It was a cook's paradise, fully stocked and ready for our family’s food enthusiasts to whip up holiday meals. The joy of cooking together brought us closer, transforming meal prep into a cherished bonding activity.
The living spaces were cozy, with fireplaces that added a warm touch to our holiday gathering. They became our favorite spots for sharing stories and playing games. Meanwhile, the game rooms, packed with options for all ages, were a big hit with everyone.
Despite the lack of cell signal, the charm of Barefoot Landing lies in its perfect blend of tranquillity and adventure. It created a memorable backdrop for our family's New Year's celebration, making it an experience we'll never forget.

We had 3 generations staying at Barefoot Landing. The home was beautiful, comfortable, and clean, the beds and linens were comfortable, and they really do have enough dinner service for 30+ people! It was a great space to have our family Thanksgiving reunion, celebrating our parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Thanks, Brian and Andrea.

This was our second year at barefoot Landing. We have a large group of siblings and their spouses.(13) The kitchen is huge and well, equipped for staying in and cooking. The view of the lake is beautiful, and we enjoyed sitting on the top deck of the dock in the afternoon sunshine, as well as building a fire in the evening. There are three fireplaces to enjoy, lots of large tables to sit together and play games as well as a game room in the garage, and other ways to entertain and have friendly competition. Everything is top-notch, except for maybe the mattresses, but for a couple of nights, they are fine.

We love this place. It has plenty of room and is on a great spot on the lake. The boat dock is wonderful as are all the patios with nice views of the lake. Well-furnished and stocked with all your cooking needs. This was our second time to stay here, and we will be back. The owners are great.

This was our 2nd year in a row staying at Barefoot Landing, and we love it there! We have a party of 13, made up of adults, children, and teens. EVERYONE loves the location and all of the extra things to do at the house! The covered outdoor area is perfect for any rainy days! The oversized kitchen is WONDERFUL!

Our family loved our week-long stay at Barefoot Landing. The location is perfect, on the lake, and the house beautiful, lacking nothing you need. High chair and pack and play for the baby, games and multiple fire pits inside and outside, huge bonus of outdoor commercial fan near outdoor dining on the deck, commercial ice makers were really helpful, private dock with night lights and power is set up perfectly for eating, swimming, fishing and boating. Loved the huge tables so our family could all sit together for eating and games. We spent most of our time outside on the multiple decks and outdoor spaces enjoying the views and each other. Kitchen is great for cooking for large groups along with the gas grill on the screened in porch. Beautiful place and we made some wonderful memories here! Look for the Buffalo or beefalo on the road going to the house.

We took our 5 children, spouses, and 14 grands for a week on the lake. This is our 2nd year at Barefoot with this generation. Our children spent many years of vacations there when they were young. So appreciate Mark and Andrea sharing their home. Wonderful memories made again!

We had a group of 22 cousins from 9 months to 84 years old sharing this great rental for a week. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a variety of meals, the bedrooms were comfortable (the bunk room was cozy small for 7, age 30ish adults), bathrooms were spread all over and the small suite over the garage worked well for a family of 6. Water was great fun and the dock and deck were used all day long. Owners lived adjacent to the rental, but we had everything we needed and no issues to get help with. The steps from the house to the water were numerous, but most of us went up and down as needed. Great house, great stay, great fun.

I can't say enough about this property. Andrea and Brian did it right with this place. Whether it was relaxing on the spacious decks or lounging in the back room with fire pit, there was plenty of room for all to hang out and have fun. The kitchen was my favorite and we congregated there the most. Absolutely beautiful and plenty of room. We have been coming for 7 years and this was by far our favorite place. Plan to come back! Barefoot Landing is a beautiful property. The deck is covered and a great gathering place for small and large families. Easy access to the lake and a large dock and hang out area. The owners are easy to work with and always available for questions and if anything needs fixed on the property.

Everything was amazing about this place! We thoroughly enjoyed our week with 30+ people(a wide range of adults and kids). Being right on the lake was awesome. The kitchen had tons of stuff, anything we needed. Very clean. The only drawbacks were the lack of cell reception and very limited internet. Also, it wasn’t clear from the listing that one of the sleeping areas was actually not private - it was an open area and not a private bedroom, outside of a separate bedroom near the second kitchen.
Otherwise, very happy with the stay!

This an awesome place to host family gatherings. There is plenty of room to accommodate groups of families. Most of the bedrooms had their own bathroom. The dock was really nice and the walkway to the dock is manageable. The view of the lake is stunning. The kitchen was incredible and fully stocked. The Wi-Fi in the house was adequate. We are really glad we decided to stay here and will hopefully be returning.

This was the second time we have stayed at this location and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both times! There is plenty of room even with 22 people staying. We had a great time and we will definitely come back. Owners are always very responsive.

This year my husband's side of the family (16 adults, 1 kid, and 5 new grand-babies) gathered at Barefoot Landing to celebrate Christmas together. This house was the perfect location for such a large crowd. There was plenty of space to hang out as a group and spacious and cozy rooms for people who needed breaks from all the energy. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious enough for all of our meals, and the house was clean and homey, especially during such cold weather. I can only imagine how beautiful this location is in the summer or fall. Brian and Andrea were very communicative before and during our stay. We would definitely come back for future gatherings.

My husband, his six siblings, and all of the outlaws like to take an adult only weekend trip together to relax and hang out. This house was the perfect set up! Plenty of bedrooms, a VERY equipped kitchen for this family of foodies, lots of comfy living areas, fireplaces, games. We couldn’t ask for more. We will be back next year.

Our group of 10 adults has gathered here for 5 years. We all agree it's the perfect spot for a group visit. The house is in great shape, furnishings are high-end, beds are super comfy. The gourmet kitchen is well-stocked. It has 2 cooktops, 2 ovens, plus a griddle. The over-sized island makes it easy for multiple cooks to work together. The main dining room table seats 12 which allows our entire group to sit together which is a big plus for us. The gas grill is inside the screened-in porch, making grilling possible in all weather. We love the extensions to 2 of the decks that added covered seating and cozy fireplaces. The large, covered boat dock is a favorite spot to hangout and watch the blue herons and eagles. Due to the remote location of the house, most (but not all) in our group had GPS systems that could locate the address. As a backup, be sure to print out the owner's step-by-step directions. We always enjoy our visit. The owners are prompt to respond and easy to deal with.
