Es ist ein 3300 Quadratmeter großes, auf 3 Ebenen aufgeteiltes Haus mit 4 Schlafzimmern, 3 Badezimmern, einem kompletten Wohnzimmer mit Holzkamin, einem kompletten Esszimmer mit 12 Sitzplätzen, einer großen Küche mit 10 Sitzplätzen und einem Fernsehzimmer mit großem Flachbildfernseher und einem Gaskamin . Die Master Suite befindet sich auf der obersten Etage und verfügt über einen großen Sitzbereich mit Bücherregalen und einem TV, ein Cal-Kingsize-Bett sowie ein geräumiges Badezimmer mit einer Phillip Stark-Badewanne und zwei Waschbecken. Die 2. Ebene ist die Küche und das Esszimmer und die untere Ebene ist das Fernsehzimmer und drei weitere Schlafzimmer. Zwei Schlafzimmer haben Doppelbetten und das dritte Schlafzimmer hat zwei Einzelbetten. Alle Ebenen führen ins Freie - Terrassen, Balkone und Sitzbereiche.
Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit Geschirrspüler, Entsorgung, zwei Backöfen, 6-Flammen-Gewerbekocher und Kühlschrank. This was such an amazing home that we never wanted to leave the property during our stay. It was quiet and beautiful with a backyard oasis where we spent most of our time. There are fun little hiking trails all around as well and it’s beautiful just to go on a walk through the streets. The John Muir Woods are only 15-20 minutes away and Mill Valley is a nice town within minutes of the house. I am hoping we might get a chance to return one day.

The house is situated in a perfect location near the Cascade Trail and walking distance to town. The grounds are stunning- a sanctuary in a redwood grove, with lush natural landscaping, comfortable seating areas and a bridge over an amazing creek. On several occasions we were visited by deer.
The house is spacious and comfortable with a great wood burning fireplace, top level master suite with walk in shower and freestanding tub and modern well equipped kitchen.
The hosts have provided thoughtful amenities- plush robes, extra condiments,,quality firewood, ample towels etc.
There were only 4 of us (2 grandparents, 2 grandkids) on this visit, but the large home would easily accommodate a larger group.
We will definitely return in the future.

The house was beautiful and was the perfect place to unwind after sight-seeing each day. The yard is lovely and peaceful and perfect for those who like to read. The redwoods out front are stunning. Also, was not a far drive into San Francisco and is very close to Muir Woods. We took the Larkspur Ferry into San Francisco one day, which was a fun way to get to the city. Communication with owners was great.

This is a delightful home in an absolutely gorgeous setting. The interior is beautifully maintained and includes a luxurious primary bed and bath. The home has multiple places for guests to both gather and retreat for privacy. The outdoor living spaces are truly amazing. This is a top tier spot in a perfect location. We absolutely loved it!

This house has a spectacular setting and is really private and the rooms are quiet and there are a lot of places to hang out - ex. two living rooms, a dining room, a fun kitchen table with a couch on one side and chairs on other. A rare wine barrel hot tub nested in the back in the redwoods and was hot and beautiful and private! It is unique place and you can walk to the lovely town!

My family traveled to CA, to spread my mother's ashes in her beloved, home town of San Francisco. Because my kids have never seen redwoods, and my mother loved them, I wanted to stay near Muir Woods. I found what looked like the perfect spot...but one never knows until you get there. Turns out, Alisa's house was exactly what I had hoped for. Not only were we near Muir Woods, but there are redwoods on the property. Every detail of the home and property is so well thought out and pleasing to the senses. There are gardens to walk through, beautiful birds, and even a doe and her fawn came through on our last morning. The house was perfect for our family of 5, and very warm. You could tell that this is a loved home that a family has lived in, not strictly for rental. This is paradise in the redwoods, and an exceptional place to visit. Last but not least, my youngest left his favorite hat in the house, and Alisa was able to find it and send it back to us. Wonderful, communicative host as well.

This has to be one of my all time favorite VRBO stays. This home was even better than the listing described. There were so many comfortable gathering spots and private areas, it was perfect. We couldn't help but gather at the table and talk/laugh for hours! The kitchen was perfectly stocked and we wanted for nothing. Beautiful home, wonderful location, safe quiet neighborhood. We had the most wonderful time at this lovely property. It was so clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for anything you might need to cook. The beds are VERY comfy. The master bathroom is stunning- esp the bath overlooking the yard outside. We spent as much time as possible outside in the wonderland retreat. The hot tub is lovely esp at night. This is on of my fav VRBOS ever.

We had an awesome time on the weekend we stayed! We mostly explored everything the 1st day and there was so much to look at! The 4 bedrooms were super comfy and the nature and front yard was absolutely breathtaking! We had a blast in the hot tub sitting among the redwood trees and listen to nature! The only cons we had was the staircase leading down to the 2nd living room was a little steap and worried if some slipped and fell, the twins bed were a little springy and bounce to you could fall out and the address takes to the gate over the bridge instead of over by the driveway so if you are driving at night it’s a little confusing! But it was for my friends 40th and it was well worth the trip! And you can take Ubers if you don’t want to drive into the city and you get to go across the Golden Gate Bridge every time! 9/10 experience for sure and hopefully will be able to return soon!

This is a pretty special location in the redwoods in Mill Valley. A large property and house. Lots of space and well appointed. Good for large parties. I went with 5 friends from college and we used it as a center for hikes and cycling for 3 days. Alisa was a very accommodating host, allowing us both an early check in and late check out. I'd recommend this property to anyone.

This home has a gorgeous location and amazing property exterior. I was surprised no one listed any of the drawbacks we experienced so thought I’d give our honest review for folks to make a more informed decision. Pros are all correct in other reviews.
Cons:
Summer is warm and there is no air conditioning or fans in the home! We sweat it out the first night and then opened the doors the 2nd night. This is a bit daunting for travelers as we don’t know the area. We had a small child so this was scary to do all night. During the day, the home got stuffy. Some of our local friends who live up the road actually went to stay with family that had ac. We just assumed the home had air conditioning. We know better now to look this up before booking. Recommend having a portable AC and available fans for guests.
The home is older, so it is pitched forward. The primary shower pools water fairly badly due to this pitch so you and the next bather will be in a fair amount of standing water.
The primary bath is also not private. Although there are some trees, it is still viewable, especially at night and a light is on.
The home had multiple scent oil perfume diffusers. We hid them from the headaches everyone had.
The front door auto locked us out upon checkin.
The owners have a good deal of personal belongings throughout- family pictures, clothing, junk in closets. My husband had to live out of his suitcase on the floor as the primary closet space is about 18’’.

Alisa’s house is a true retreat. The primary suite is treat in itself with the most luxe bed and pillows. The outdoor seating is perfect for a large group or family. The kitchen is stocked with all your cooking needs. We had the best stay and hope to be back in the future.

Felt like a true nature sanctuary stay and clearly the owners were thoughtful in their design and decor. Loved the property surroundings, the proximity to town, and the facilities were excellent. The kitchen allowed us to cook and we had outdoor and indoor tables to chose from. Multiple soaks in the hot tub, made for an relaxing stay.
Alisa was thorough on the check-in and out process. Parking was easy.

Best property I have stayed in yet! The house is situated on a babbling creek in the midst of giant redwoods with a well appointed deck with fire pit and lounge, dining table, etc. plus a few other "secret" spots to explore and enjoy. The hot tub was a notable experience unto itself! The home handled our large family easily and we all thoroughly enjoyed Mill Valley and our excursions into San Francisco. I couldn't recommend this stay more and Alisa was a exceptional host!

WOW! What a treat our family had staying at this beautifully appointed home located in Mill Valley next to Muir Woods, Sausalito, Tiburon and a short drive across the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco. The back yard was definitely hard to leave with its lush landscaping, hammocks, hot tub, fire pit, and a bridge crossing the babbling brook. A nice bonus was Muir Woods being a short 15 minute drive away. The entire family truly loved this home and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit the Bay Area.

My family spent a few nights here during which time we were able to reconnect and rejuvenate, after the kids being away at college all year. The home and environment is unique in that they are practically symbiotic- the delights of this beautiful home blend in with the redwood forest surrounding the home. There is a hot tub under the trees that is perfect. The kitchen has all you need, grill out back. Perfect patio out back where you can read, relax, tai chi, get together, or dine. There is plenty of room to be together and have space to spread out. The hostess is readily responsive, friendly and reasonable. I have to figure out how to return in the future! 😄

This incredible Mill Valley house was one of the most unique and beautiful places we have ever stayed. Our hosts were helpful and communicative. Everything was perfect.
The location was an easy 10 minute walk through a wooded paradise to downtown Mill Valley. If you walk in the other direction another 10 minutes you come to a hiking trail that leads to a waterfall.
The home itself is cozy, clean and spacious. The large, newly remodeled kitchen had everything we needed and more (all off the spices, oils, pots, pans, dishes, etc.) plus every appliance you could ask for. The master suite has its own large deck overlooking the backyard and an enormous bathroom with a large walk in shower. The house itself is great for a family or even two families to have plenty of space to spread out, with multiple hang out areas.
The exterior of the property is simply amazing. The house and grounds sit under a canopy of huge redwood and eucalyptus trees. Even with all of the shade, there were plenty of spots where the sun beamed down through the trees. A creek runs right through the property beside a massive deck with many different spaces to sit and relax, including a couch, a large dining table, hammocks, etc. There is also a big outdoor fireplace and a large gas grill as well.
At the back of the house, off of the kitchen, is another cozy hang out area with stone steps that lead up to a secluded hot tub among the trees.
We would love to stay here again!

The grounds and house are spacious and beautiful, a wonderful secluded retreat in the redwoods... yet only a 5 min drive to the shops and restaurants of Mill Velley. We had a great time, and would happily visit again. 5 stars.
