We were incredibly happy with our three-week stay at Sofía's home in Coyoacán. We were two adults, a toddler, and a baby. It is probably my favorite short-term rental that I've ever stayed in.
The house has been in their family for generations, and it shows in its beautiful art, quality furniture, and well-maintained condition. We've stayed in short-term rentals where it seems like the owners cut every cost possible, choosing the cheapest furniture and kitchen items they could. Not the case here by any means. We cooked a lot and appreciated the fact that the kitchen was well-stocked with what we needed. They had a garrafón set up with a dispenser, and made replacements available to us on-site (for a small fee) which was super convenient for drinking water.
Sofía, her family members, and others that reached out or helped us with things during our stay made us feel super welcome and cared for. Even when our daughter damaged something in the house, they were very understanding and prioritized their concern for her over the item.
In contrast to some places we've stayed in other parts of CDMX, this house in Coyoacán is peaceful. We enjoyed quiet meals in the courtyard on almost a daily basis.
The location is awesome, within a short walk to a huge supermarket, many cafés, and restaurants. Probably a 15 minute walk to the Centro de Coyoacán.
In short, we loved our time there and hope we get to return one day. Stay there if you can, you won't regret it.

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful apartment for a week. The hostess simply could not have been more helpful and offered us many tips and recommendations. And the location is excellent! It's a quiet, yet still lively, part of the city that is absolutely gorgeous. Within easy walking distance are groceries, wine store, lovely cafes, good restaurants, street food, parks and transit. I would 100% stay here again.

Before we arrived I had several questions and Sofia responded to my emails immediately. That was very helpful. We were traveling with our 2 young kids (3 & 5) and found the house perfect for the 4 of us. The home is lovely with beautiful art and a nice courtyard. But the best part is the location. It is a short walk to historic Coyoacan, the Mercado de Coyoacan, and the Museo de Frida. It is short walk in the other direction to a huge grocery store, one of CDMX’s nicest malls, and other modern conveniences. Plus, the house is in a clean, quiet neighborhood that feels very safe and has lots of character. Highly recommend it.

This quiet duplex is our home away from home. Every time we visit CDMX this is where we stay. It is convenient to grocery shopping, delicious coffee, pastry, and ice cream, traditional Mexican fare from wonderful restaurants, as well as delicious pizza for our kids. We are writers and artists who like to visit the nearby parks to sketch, read, walk, and people/dog watch. You can't go wrong at this lovely home.

Coyoacan is a historic village-within-a-city. It is not convenient in terms of the heart of the city: depending on traffic, it is 30-50 minutes by uber; and a 10-minute walk to the metro, which then takes another 30 minutes. But it is full of colonial charm; has a fun Zocola (plaza) to stroll in both by day and night; and includes Casa Azul (Frida Kahla's family home), a lovely park, and some pleasant restaurants. It is also quite "real" in the sense that it is touristed by not touristy.
And this apartment is the perfect place to enjoy the neighborhood. It is located on a side street, half-way between the metro and the Zocola. One block away is our favorite place for breakfast, lunch or dinner, facing a small plaza. Several blocks away is a great supermarket. And more.
It is also perfect in and of itself. You walk through a small courtyard to get to the front door: it is totally private and quiet. The photographs are completely accurate: it is beautifully furnished and comfortable, with a variety of spaces. We felt like we were at home the moment we entered.
We like to travel staying awhile in a single place to get more of a feel for what neighborhood-living is like in the cities we go to. We both have work that we bring with us, so we also like a place we can hunker down. And we invite our kids and friends to visit, so two bedrooms is always better than one. This fit the bill perfectly. We are already planning to return.

Sofia’s apartment and the neighborhood are delightful, safe and quiet. My husband and I are in our 60’s and the apartment was a sanctuary from our days of sightseeing. The windows face the courtyard and there is a little terrace on the top floor (narrow twisty stairway) where I often had coffee and enjoyed the sun - this being December. The apartment has everything one could need and the the beds are comfortable. The home was very clean, and Sofia was extraordinarily prompt in answering my few questions. Nice art and books about Mexico complemented this interestingly designed apartment. Mucho Gracias!

I traveled with my wife and two kids visiting family. We are originally from Mexico City and live in the US now. We come back twice a year and we found this perfect house!! This is our third time staying here. The location is safe, quiet, walking distance to many attractions, services and shopping centers. The house is always clean, functional and plenty of room for my family. Sofia, the owner, is always available for any questions. I highly recommend this house for any type of trip, either business, pleasure or visiting relatives. We’ll come back soon for sure!

Lovely, quiet apartment in great area.
Lovely apartment, very quiet area of Coyoacan, easy and safe walk to Plaza, Frida's house (make sure you book online or you will be waiting for hours) restaurants, markets, huge park, supermarkets, banks etc. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable - it has a lovely feel to it, aided by the art, books and furnishings. Kitchen has plenty of equipment and is clean. Beds are comfortable and rooms can be made dark. Really helpful hosts who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable but also allowed us plenty of privacy. I would highly recommend.

Relaxed and intimate getaway
We, a family of three, enjoyed a quiet week of visiting museums, reading in local parks, and exploring Santa Catarina and it’s neighboring barrios. The apartment afforded a gentle retreat from the hustle and bustle of CDMX. Sofia, Calicha, Aurora and Raul were available to assist with every need and answer all of our questions. We plan to return as soon as the vagaries of coordinating vacation schedules and budgeting concerns can be resolved.

Beautiful, quiet and comfortable stay
Lovely, tucked away on a quiet street in a beautiful and historic area in Coyoacan, this two story place, in the rear of the building (so very quiet) was perfect for our family of 3 (2 adults, one 9 year old). The stairs up to the bedrooms filled with local art was a perfect way to end busy city sightseeing days. The shower and water worked great, as well as the kitchen, although we only used the coffee maker and did not cook. The only tiny thing would be to have a little soap for quests, but it was such a nice place and wonderful hosts!

Our second time and still love it!!
This was our second time staying at this house and we are very pleased. We are making this our home away from home as we are planning to make more frequent trips here. We live in the US but we are originally from Mexico City. This is the best place for us to stay and visit friends and family. It’s clean, spacious, well located, plenty of amenities nearby and in a very safe neighborhood. Our kids (5 & 2) had a great time and can’t wait to come back.
Thank you Aurora for your help during our stay. We’ll be back soon.

Exactly what we wanted!
A delightfully inviting home away from home, private, quiet, with lovely furnishings, interesting art work, pleasant sitting area, good lighting, a fully equipped kitchen waiting to be used, bedrooms spacious and comfortable, and certainly an adequate bathroom. We wished we were staying a month. The location is excellent with easy access to the surrounding area by foot, by Uber and by metro. The neighborhood couldn't have been better. The street, tree lined and remarkably clean, always welcomed us back. Close by a large and very modern, new super market had everything we might have needed for settling in. Close by too were very traditional neighborhood food shops, cafes and restaurants. We loved coming home to this very special place that we called ours. And breakfast in the courtyard was a great place to start the day. Sofia couldn't have been more helpful or more welcoming. If we had been in the need of anything, she would have been right there to help. Remind her, however, that a briefing on how to work the unique gas stove is necessary. She made us feel like we were special guests. There is so much to do and explore in Mexico City and Coyoacan and this property is the perfect homebase. We are looking forward to a return visit.

No better way to see Mexico City's greatest neighborhood
First the apartment: one of the best ever. Spacious, clean and well-organized. Full kitchen and dinning room (although the stove is a bit difficult to operate). It's a real home, perfect for a family. Sofia and her staff are extremely helpful. I travel a lot so one detail really stood out for me: the art in the apartment. No tacky stuff, beautiful pottery and wall hangings. That kind of eye for detail speaks volumes about the care Sofia puts into this home.
Second the neighborhood: We are very familiar with Coyoacan. We've been walking the streets for years but have never stayed in the neighborhood. This stay was a revelation. Besides the obvious - Frida Kahlo House, Jardin Centenario, Museum of Popular Culture - you're within walking distance of hidden gems like the Fonoteca Nacional and Museum of Watercolors.
We will absolutely come back.

Experience Travelers
4 stars because I do not want anyone to miss out. This place is well taken care of, clean and a great location. You do have to be a good walker to get to places, but most of Mexico is like that anyway, expect to walk. If you like to explore along the way, then this is the place. Why not 5 stars? Because I have been getting rentals for a long time in many places. In Austin, a nice note and a bottle of wine, in San Cristobal de Las Casas, some local coffees, and homemade cookies, in New York, basics in the fridge, small mustard, mayo, coffee, etc. This place, I was asked to buy my own trash bags when the two I had filled up. Not only was there no coffee, they had the wrong filters. Being a seasoned traveler, I had my own. There was no hot water, Luckily I am a repair it kind of guy, I found the heater and turned it on, but had to wait for the water to get hot. The soap in the bathroom, a full-size humongous bath soap, kind of hard to use if you have Trump hands. Garbage disposal was so full of old food, the water did not drain properly, so we had to get it fixed. We do not use the garbage disposals even in our home. Grab the small everything next time you travel to a hotel and use these instead, shampoo, soaps, instant coffee, and creamer, etc. These are just suggestions because two years ago I arrived at 10:00 pm in Mexico City because of delays. I would not have time to shop for groceries. Aurora is available to answer and help with anything, but only on weekdays. It was also nice that we did not have to rush out while waiting for our flight time. Rent this house if you are an experienced traveler to Mexico and you will not be disappointed.

Our home in Mexico City
This is the second time we have stayed here and it was in even better shape than the first time. We thought it was perfect but now the kitchen has been beautifully remodeled. Friends stayed with us on this visit and were very impressed as well. Coyoacan is a charming neighborhood and it is a 10-15 minute walk to the main plaza and a 5-10 minute walk to Viveros, an incredible place to run. It's a quick Uber ride or a long walk to several metro stations to get downtown. There were a few maintenance issues that came up during our stay and Aurora, the manager took care of them immediately. This apartment feels like home and we plan to stay here whenever we're in town. We are grateful to have such a nice place to stay.

Excelente!

Great Home in Coyoacan
We just returned from a wonderful week at Sofia's duplex in Coyoacan. The property was so comfortable and pretty and in a great location, easy walking to the square, tons of restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. We particularly enjoyed Casa Azul, Iglesia San Juan Bautista and dining at Los Danzantes, Ave Maria and Corazon de Maguey. It was easy to take Uber into Mexico City, only around $12, to see some of the amazing museums (Antropologia, Museo Nacional del Arte) and churches. Also took Uber to the bus station for a trip to Teotihuacan.
Sofia was great to deal with, very responsive and accommodating. The duplex had everything we needed and more. We would love to stay there again on our next trip to DF.
