Das Tree House befindet sich auf einer abgelegenen Mittelinsel mit Blick auf Sumpf, Strand und Meereswälder, nur wenige Meter vom BHI Sea Turtle Conservancy entfernt, das in der Nähe des Ft über 6.000 Morgen Naturschutzgebiet umfasst. Although the bedrooms and kitchen are a bit small, the decks and property location more than make up for it. The view of the marsh from the front deck is incredibly relaxing.
We were married here 30 years ago this October and all of our children and grandchildren joined us. The house worked out great!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tree House. The owners were very kind and accommodating. The porches are amazing with gorgeous marsh views from every one. The home itself is bright and open with more than enough space for our family of four. The location on Middle Island can't be beat with private access to an uncrowded section of our favorite beachfront on the island. Would stay again!

This house is amazing! Loved the location, amenities, and decor. The private access to East Beach was awesome allowing for wonderful days in the beach. Brought our pup and he had a great time as well! Thank you for a stunning vacation and we will be back next year!

We loved celebrating 2 special birthdays at the beautiful Treehouse. Bald Head Island in May is a friend tradition and we were very happy to stay at this incredible home. Great location on magical BHI. Myrita provided outstanding customer service and communication. We’ll be back!

The place was perfect for our family. Many wonderful porches! Very well appointed. My daughter and her boyfriend loved having the downstairs to themselves. The beach entry led us to basically an empty beach. The entire experience was great!

Our stay at Treehouse was as magical as the island. The owners were EXTREMELY responsive! Our cart accidentally got a flat and they had us a new cart in no time at all! The house fit 8 of us 4 adults and 4 teens well and the views were spectacular! Location was great, we visited east beach, mikes bites and conservatory within minutes! We can’t wait to come back again next year!!

This was our third time staying at the Treehouse and it is always wonderful. The decks are great, it is always so peaceful on Middle Island and our kids love the nearby dock. We appreciated the recent upgrades, especially to the loft bed. All of the beds are comfortable, the house is always clean, and we always have everything we need for the week in the kitchen. The host was very responsive when we needed help figuring out how to work the TVs. We’ll definitely be staying at the Treehouse again in the future!

Our son was married at the chapel on BHI. The Tree House was perfect for our family and plus one guest assisting with our rehearsal dinner. The porches were perfect for our one year old granddaughter. (She enjoyed hugging the trees that are growing through the decks and porches.) The awesome architecture of the home is breathtaking! Being fans of wildlife and nature, we saw deer - 5 out of 7 days, an opossum, a raccoon, 4 snakes, and some giant spiders. I'm sure we would have seen more, if we hadn't been busy on other parts of the island with multiple wedding festivities. The owners were very quick to respond to questions and concerns. We will definitely book another stay at The Tree House!

I booked this stay for a beachy/outdoorsy girls trip, but most of our plans were washed out by endless rain and wind. Thankfully, we had this really lovely house in which we could spend our time together.
The kitchen had everything we needed, the house is spacious, there are tons of games to choose from (perfect for rainy days!). The golf carts were in good condition, and there were plenty of beach towels and chairs for a group.
Myrita was great to communicate with, very quick to respond to our questions and so accommodating to our requests. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully with better weather next time so we can enjoy all the decks around the house and the beautiful private beach! :)

We had a lovely time at the Treehouse in Middle Island. The house is magical, situated above the trees with stunning marsh views. East and South Beaches are each minutes away and we enjoyed both. The outdoor decks were perfect places to hang out for drinks, dining and card playing. Truly lovely.
The kitchen, though small, is absolutely fine for preparing dinner. We had read a review saying it was too small, but we did not find that to be true…and we cooked a lot! Everything in the kitchen is organized and labeled, which was extremely helpful. The rooms were nice and the showers were great. Any concerns we had were immediately addressed by the hosts. We recommend The Treehouse for your Bald Head Island stay!

Our family’s stay at this home met all of our needs! Being early spring, much of the outdoor amenities were in need of wiping down a bit of dust and cobwebs but it gave us a bit of time to appreciate the gorgeous expansive deck surrounding this home secluded in the trees! If you like bird watching, stargazing, relaxing with a good book or sipping a glass of wine while enjoying spectacular marsh views this home is your place. As others have mentioned, the kitchen is small but provides all of gadgets, cookware one needs for a family gathering . (It is just a bit tight). We looked forward to using the grills in order to allow for more cooking space in the kitchen. Unfortunately, the grills were not in working condition this weekend.
The golf carts were in great condition. It would have been helpful to have had the ability to apply weather shields to the carts. As It was a very cold, rainy and windy Easter weekend and these would kept us warm and dry. But… We had a perfect beach day at the beginning of our stay! The home provides a key for a private boardwalk entrance to the beach a few steps away!! This was an absolute treat to have the benefit and beauty of trees, marsh and beach all in one spot!!! (Just remember to have the key on you in order to exit the boardwalk as the key is needed to unlock the door!!! Spend your time outside enjoying this beautiful property and give yourself a great reason to not cook!

House was good news/ not so good news.
Good news: Owners seem very nice and responsive. The decks are huge and amazing. Sports and beach equipments is good. Private beach entrance very nice. Location is secluded and very nice. Wealthy, nice neighborhood.
Not so good: The kitchen is tiny and poor. New York apartment/college student kitchen. Cramped and not worth the money being charged. To the owner: RENOVATE THE KITCHEN. Maybe bump out the back wall to enlarge the kitchen? YOU CHARGE THAT MONEY AND PROVIDE THAT KITCHEN? also... its clear the decks are so large they take away from the size of the house. The master is nice, but the two other upstairs bedrooms are tiny and, well, poor. No individual bathrooms. House way too small for the money. Poorly designed, with multiple stairways taking up too much space. As I said, spectacular decks, but the decks are TOO big. Overall: Depends what you like. You like a big, fancy house? This house is not for you. Like a very nice and secluded location? Then house is OK.

This is our second time staying at the Treehouse. The house was updated with so many things, new bikes, couch, and other wonderful things. The new golf cart was great as well. We will be back!!

The house was so warm, welcoming, and spacious. Very friendly and lightning speed communication from ownership. The home is located on the private part of the island which gives you private beach access. 5 stars all around!

We just enjoyed our second visit to The Tree House. It.was.amazing. The house is located on the quiet middle island and is nestled among the trees so beautifully. We enjoyed the many decks and hammock almost as much as the inside space, which is incredibly well appointed. Everything you need is provided. We loved the private access to east beach, which is our favorite beach on the island. It's a short five minute walk, but there's also parking if you need to bring things along on your golf cart. These Michiganders jumped waves til our hearts' content and when we'd had our full of the salt water, we enjoyed spending time at the club pool. *One important thing to remember is that guest memberships sell fast. We recommend you contact the club when you make your booking. Otherwise, they may sell out.*
Myrita was quickly available when we had questions and offered wonderful suggestions for places to eat and things to do.
We highly recommend staying at the Tree House. You won't be disappointed!!

Wonderful Stay
The tree house made for a great family vacation.
The house was in excellent condition. Cleaning crew was great. Furniture & appliances were in good condition. The icemaker in the fridge was a workhouse - it seemed to be full of ice constantly. We loved all the windows and the open feeling. The decks were great. We spent most of the days on the beach. Outside was a little to buggy for us at night.
The location of the house was probably the best part. We are big beach people. The house provides access to the middle island private beach. Not that bald island beaches are crowded (they are not compared to other NC and SC beaches). The middle island beach had very few people. There are only 3 or 4 houses with beach access north of the private beach access. Beyond these houses, was empty beach. This made for some great walks. Beach condition was excellent. Waves were perfect for playing in the water.
Golf carts were in great shape. No matter where you stay on the island you are close to all the attractions.
My family really enjoyed our stay at the tree house. Owners were fantastic. We had a few questions before and during the trip. They were very responsive.

Great family getaway in Baldhead, among the trees
We had a wonderful trip. Myrita was so helpful with getting us oriented, and everything in the house was clean, comfortable, and easy to use. We loved zipping around in the golf carts and on the bikes. East Beach is so lovely, and just a short walk from the house. We got memberships at BHI and did a birding tour with the conservancy, and the kids had surfing lessons. We love BH and would definitely stay at the Treehouse again!

The property is fantastic with gorgeous views and sounds of the ocean. Our dog and kiddos loved exploring the grounds. It’s a quick walk to a private beach access and a 5-10 minute golf cart ride to coffee shops, restaurants and the market. We had 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog and found the space to be very comfortable. The second master bedroom on the ground floor could use a new mattress and is a bit on the small side. Would be ideal for a teen room versus a second pair of adults. The main master is spectacular however! My kids loved the open loft bed room with their own access to the hammock and deck space. Keep in mind that with beautiful trees comes leaves and a few little critters so be prepared to sweep or use the blower provided to keep the deck area free of debris, especially if you plan on lounging daily and entertaining out there. It’s well worth it though. The kitchen is small, but totally manageable and comes stocked with everything you could possibly want. The house also comes with plenty of beach towels, chairs, beach gear, bikes and a kayak. We would definitely recommend The Tree House. We loved our stay!

Magical!
The Treehouse and Middle Island Plantation is an absolutely magical place! We had a major storm which caused a power surge in the house while we were there. The owners were amazing at getting power, etc. restored as soon as they could. Their response and communication was fantastic. We definitely plan to return to this beautiful home next summer!

Perfect Beach Vacation
We had an amazing trip!! The house is within 2 minutes to the beach walking and 1 minute golf cart ride. The porches are the best part of the house. The hammock really makes it special. Loved the private dock to fish off of that was a 1 minute golf cart ride. We could not get the TV upstairs to work but we are also not use to that cable/satellite tv, just wish there was instructions on how to use. Also wish there were cookie sheets to bake on. Overall we give the house 15/10. We loved it so much and plan to come back in the future. Thanks for everything!!

Magical treehouse with a private beach - Heaven!
This hidden gem exceeded our expectations in every way.
The property is magical. Beautifully appointed and nestled on the less populated Middle Island section of BHI, it has it all. You can hear the ocean from any of the many (5? 7? I lost count...) decks and porches, sip a cocktail and watch the sunset from the dock in the back which overlooks the marsh, or enjoy a beach read in the hammock while hearing the many different bird calls among the trees.
Our kids, 6 and 8, loved the outdoor shower off the master bath, fishing off the nearby dock, hiking trails along the nature preserve, and of course, the amazing private beach about 75 paces - or a 20 second golf cart ride - from the house.
There's a brand new grill, games in the lower unit, bikes, 3 outdoor showers, and beach supplies like chairs, sun ninja, body boards, coolers, and plenty of towels. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare easy or gourmet meals. For downtime, the wifi is strong and the Apple TV has all the options you could want -- and there are about 15 cozy spots to curl up with a book.
Myrita was eager to be sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable - always responsive and went out of her way to be helpful.
We're definitely going to make this getaway a family tradition and can't wait to come back!

You can’t beat the location and charm of this beautiful home and setting. When we weren’t exploring the island, we were relaxing on the amazing decks of the Treehouse. We look forward to returning!
