We had an excellent stay at the Lavenders' home! The cabin was clean and well-appointed with everything we needed. We loved the screened in porch and fire pit, and the fact that we saw a bear lumbering by in the road one morning. Our dogs loved running around the yard and playing in the creek. It was remote, but with easy access to all sorts of things - we went tubing on the Lower Platte, played at Sleeping Bear Dunes, and spent a couple rainy hours at Cognition in nearby Empire. Phil was very responsive to our questions, and we felt very welcome.

the cabin was perfect for our group of two couples and one infant. wonderful location and everything we needed to enjoy cooking together, watching movies, and hiking in sleeping bear.

This was a fantastic place to get away, binge on football and enjoy the natural beauty of northern Michigan. This cabin is equipped with everything necessary to spend a wonderful Christmas away.

Lovely Cabin. Easy to find. Beds are very comfortable, We had a great time biking in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and on the Crystal Lake bike path.

Everything for a fun summer getaway was there. The place was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Keep in mind one bedroom is a loft, not fully enclosed, but bed was comfortable and the location relative to Platte Bay area was really nice.

The cabin was a nice size, cozy with enough space to enjoy family time without being too crowded. The outside space was great!

This is our second stay At this property. Love the location, and the peacefulness.

The cabin and property are as described. We had a great stay here for a few days. It was a great respite as we travelled from place to place checking out the peninsula. The kids loved all of the wildlife including the hummingbirds and hearing the owls at night. We made many memories here in just the short time we were here. Would definitely recommend!

Nicely secluded and homey place to lay your heads at night. Kitchen had all we needed to start each day and the porch was a fun spot for Euchere in the evenings. Great place to stay if spending time at Sleeping Bear.

This cabin has it all especially for a bigger group. Would book again our family really enjoyed it.

My family & I had a wonderful stay! The location’s proximity to all our activities (kayaking on the Platte River, biking the Heritage Trail, visiting Sleeping Bear Dune, boating on Glen Lake, going to Esch Beach) was perfect. The property itself is located on a wooded lot with trails of its own, witch were fun to explore and the house was a comfortable place to rest between activities. We especially love the screened in porch! Thank you, Lavenders for helping to make our MI stay so fantastic!

Great Cabin with all amenities. Perfect location. only thing is, in title its listed as four bedrooms. There is only two bedrooms. There is an completely open loft with futon, more like an upstairs sitting area.

Great house. Plenty of room and all the amenities we needed. The house has a cool layout that our kids really liked. It's quiet and isolated and yet close to Sleeping Bear, Honor and Empire. Very happy with this experience.

Spent four days here with family while enjoying Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Cabin is private and centrally located. Would defiantly stay here again.

We stayed at a wonderful cabin near The Sleeping dunes national Lakeshore. It was a great spot to be near the dune climb and other areas of the national park. The cabin was tucked away In a very quiet area. I would book it again, in a heartbeat!

The property was exactly as advertised. Very relaxing three day getaway. Home was very clean and welcoming.

Just a few minutes south of Empire and right across from Little Platte Lake is this great vacation rental! It’s nice and private and a beautiful property that is easy to get to, not far off M-22. The pictures really don’t do it justice as it is well laid out and much more like a beautiful log home than a cabin. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the sleeping/TV loft upstairs looks really nice. The bathrooms and showers are great as well, The kitchen has all of the basics you need along with a small dining table. There is a screened in porch off of the living area and it offers a lot of additional room and larger dining table. The WiFi worked well and the TVs had Satellite with lots of available viewing options. The only improvements could be a little more seating in the living area for larger groups and a more comfortable couch. There were only two of us and our dog so it worked well for us and the couch converts to provide additional sleeping so it makes sense. The property was great for our dog as well. We will definitely look to rent here again when in the area.

Can't think of a better experience for our family this holiday season! This was our second visit and looking forward to our next stay. The cabin provided a warm and cozy space to hunker down during the blizzard. Thanks for the opportunity to stay!

Was a breeze everytime we rent here

Nice property, very clean but a bit smaller than we anticipated. The pros are great location, nice décor, clean and well managed. Cons are lack of air conditioning (although there are fans in every room) and small dining table inside (large table in screened-in porch). But the owner was very responsive and helpful. We would recommend this property.

The cabin is lovely, with every amenity you can imagine. The surrounding area is peaceful and quiet, but there is easy access to the quaint small towns in the area and lots and lots of lakes.

We were pleasantly surprised by the newness and cleanliness of the cabin. It felt like a welcoming home, and we were very comfortable. However, being that our 4 teenagers are are mostly grown, it was better suited for the 6 of us, (not 8). We loved how secluded into the woods and how close we were to M22. We made a lot of wonderful memories as a new, blended step-family. I am proud that my new step-children will be sporting new M22 shirts to school next week!

Cabin was clean and has a great screened in back room. Cabin has everything you need to enjoy up north getaway.

This log cabin was as advertised! Wonderful peaceful setting, clean, plenty of room! The hosts are very thoughtful..had some nice extras such as a coffee maker with everything you needed to make a nice fresh pot every morning. It was much appreciated! We loved sitting by the bonfire in the evenings listening to the loons and star gazing!
