We enjoyed the little used pool area and quiet area of the beach outside the gated community. It was a 15-minute walk to the conveniences of town but it was nice to be away from the busyness of Tamarindo. House was well- furnished. Howler monkeys lived in a tree in parking area.

The place was great. Exactly as listed. Lots of room for the whole family, right on the beach for morning walks and evening sunsets. The property managers were very responsive to all of our needs and always got back to us quickly. Bonus: Howler monkeys hung out in the gorgeous mango tree near the pool! Definitely would recommend.

Very nice spot near the surf spot. Several good things about the place and also the equipment in the villa. Near a small grocery, good outdoor. The only things, needs dome improvement in the bathroom at the top floor.

Wow great location on the beach. The house was well equipped and in a nice safe small complex. I appreciate that it was clean and RPM was very responsive to us.

Great location away from noise and bustle of Tamarindo but close enough for dining, shopping, etc. Rocky beach right in front so no swimming but quick drive to swim. Villa was spacious, plenty of towels, all necessary appliances and kitchen utensils. Would recommend window coverings for windows facing the pool. Property clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful location and absolutely superb customer service, grounds and cleaning service as well (check on your arrival when the cleaning staff will be coming). Villas Langosta are a wonderful collection of low rise villas with a beautiful pool and grounds and seconds from the beach with a view of the sunset. The proximity to the estuary was stellar allowing for wonderful body surfing and exploration around the estuary when the tide is low. It is easy to walk along the beach to the busier Tamarindo or by the street (about 20-25 mins walk, minutes by taxi). Villa #1 had a lovely open layout. Not super fancy but in a nice way congruent with Costa Rica decor which we preferred. A/C worked well (we didn't use in the mornings most times). We recommended to the property managers a few kitchen amenities which would have helped as we did a ton of cooking and wished for just a few more kitchen implements and dishes (this is easily changeable and their customer service was so excellent I don't doubt they will do this). Things like containers for storing leftovers, more serving bowls, and glasses were in shorter supply (for a group of 8 with visitors). There are things like a blender and coffee maker (of course) etc. RPM's customer service professionals Lola and Josef were fabulous - always on email or Whatsapp to help with tour booking, shuttle booking and little repairs in the Villa. **Alert, to be sure that the freezer (there is a very updated fridge with lower freezer) is closed properly. Even a slight bit open (and it seemed to pop out at times) will lead to a freeze/thaw issue and major noise in the motor. Again, all manageable but you just have to know about this in advance and check. Labels would be a good idea! I highly recommend this location if you are looking for great beach access, peace, superb customer service and when desired, proximity to Tamarindo for the restaurant/dance scene just down the road. Do the estuary tour (larger estuary in Tamarindo), surf lessons at Surf Iguana, dinner at La Baula (Pizza), Dragonfly restaurant, the creme brulee (lemongrass/ginger) at Capitan Suizo (a boutique hotel down the road- we just went for the dessert, menu a bit pricey for dinner but the dessert was delicious). We also did an overnight to Monteverde, highly recommend the El Bosque Eco Lodge for a stay plus Enar Vega as a bird guide. Amazing. So many more things to say. It was a wonderful trip.

Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, Lola informed us (she actually sent an email I didn't get because we were in the air) that the ACs in the two upstairs bedrooms weren't working. This ended up being okay because the four people who were supposed to come with us cancelled at the last minute.

The downstairs bedroom had a most uncomfortable mattress. Lola arranged to have a mattress from upstairs brought downstairs.

My disappointment with the condo has nothing to do with the service we received from the RPM staff. As usual, Lola was accommodating and friendly. We love her!

The unit is right on the beach and we really enjoyed the pool. Only recommendation I would give is to update the kitchen (cabinets, stove, refrigerator, add pots and pans and silverware. The mattress in the upstairs bedroom with the futon couch needs to be replaced. The springs are finished and when two people sleep in that bed, you end up both in the middle of the bed. Patio furniture on the upper deck was out dated and broken.

Reviewer Comments: Villa Langosta #1 is an excellent vacation location for a family it has good kitchen although only small frig three bedrooms and two baths. The addition of a small BBQ would offer another cooking experience. The location allowed easy access to the beautiful beaches from which we were able to view beautiful sunsets, turtles and many birds. There was also snorkeling just a short distance away. The town of Tamarindo is just a 20 minute walk or a short taxi ride away, offering a great selection of stores.

Washer and dryer were a huge plus. Would suggest putting a safety strip on the upstairs area that steps down....where you least expect. RPM was awesome, place was beautifully maintained, pool was very refreshing, and we particularly enjoyed that it was not in the sun in the afternoon as we needed some respite after swimming on the beach, security and gardener both brought us a couple of delicious mangos. We will be going back, hopefully soon!!!!
