We had a lot of run a round to check in and trying to find the place. It’s completely overgrown, can not see an address or the apartment at all. It’s Florida, it’s hot, when we finally got the keys to get in we found that no air at all had been turned on. It was well over 90 degrees in the apartment and took hours to cool off. It’s very very small. It is right across the street to the gulf. That was nice.

Upon arrival to the managers location, we met Lynne in the back breezeway of her apartment with barely enough room to walk in due to all the trash and debris everywhere were given the keys and a written instructions on a small piece of paper with all the do's and dont's for the condo. We walked down the side of the house past all of the trash and junk beach equipment that was all broken and rusted to the front door of the condo. It looks like the deck hadn’t been blown off in months there was trash and debris everywhere you couldn’t even sit down on the front porch because all of the chair cushions were so filthy. Upon walking in the condo, we found mold underneath the rug’s, hair all over the bedding, a small window air conditioner that we were told you need to run the standup oscillating fan in order to keep the whole condo cold , mind you on our trip It’s 95° this week. The shower was barely 5 feet tall and filthy and not pictured in any descriptions, the kitchen cabinets were broken, the one of the bedrooms was falsely advertised right when you walked in the front door was supposed to be a living room, and they put two beds in there to accommodate more occupancy and the living room was in the small dining room, all the kitchen appliances were filthy, the overall appearance of the apartment was dusty and dirty.

This place had everything we needed for our family to have a wonderful trip! The location is unbeatable and Lynn gave us everything we needed.

Property was as described. Clean sheets, beach chairs available, was to the beach in 30 seconds. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for affordability a few steps from the beach.

Very functional and efficient place to stay. The location is perfect! The beach access and trolley stop are across the street.

Our host was fantastic and we had a wonderful time in Florida. This property was conveniently located near the beach and the Anna Maria Island trolley stop. We had everything we needed for our stay, including beach equipment and chairs. Parking was also convenient. The listing was just as described and we loved talking with our host Lynn!! This was a fun relaxing girls weekend. Lynne the host was very nice. She met us at the property and gave us a quick overview of the home and the area. The house is directly across the street from the beach entrance and a short drive to some beach restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay.

The location is prime and the water pressure is amazing, but that is where all expectations should end. This rental is bare bones wih old linens, dated appliances, and furniture that has seen much better days. The single parking space perfect for a subcompact, so be forewarned if you drive a fullsize truck or SUV.

It was nice for the weekend as we were at the beach most of the time. But our toilet and shower got clogged up and the manager did call a plumber and the plumber did come out but the problem was never fixed. We had to go elsewhere to use the restroom and we took a shower with the hose outside. When I asked the manager for money back she told me that we did have a roof over our heads to sleep. And I explain to her that we could not take a shower or use the restroom and it seem to me that she was irritated that I asked for money back. I got a small portion back but not even to cover one night. We made the best of it but I will not stay here again.

Upon arrival I contacted Lynne. We met at the property quite easily and she was always accessible. Although a review of the property and instructions for the stay was fine, may I recommend a list for the guests as we could not recall a few things that she had said, as it is all a little overwhelming upon arrival. A few hours later I experienced a small issue with my grandson and may I say Lynne was a great help to me. The property is in an excellent location for beach access as well as the trolley, which was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you as we had an amazing weekend hopefully he will never forget!

My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. The location is perfect. The beach is across the street and it is on the trolley line. We enjoyed visiting with Lynne the afternoon we checked in. She was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again when we are visiting family in the area.

Lynne is great to work with, very personable. The rental is in a great location just right across the road from the beach and within walking distance to Bridge Street Pier. The unit we stayed in is not the one pictured on the VRBO site.

We had a great time! Minutes from everything but still very private! Easy beach access, right next to the trolley stop and had everything we needed!

Basic but perfect location and the apartment has everything you may need. Across beach access to the most beautiful beach in the island. Near restaurants, stores, bars, nice safe area, quiet apartment, very private and cozy, kind of vintage. We will be back for sure.

I was aware that this property was very outdated by the pictures provided, and I was okay with that for a 2-day stay. What was not acceptable was the fact that upon arrival my daughter and I noticed that the property had not been properly cleaned. This is unacceptable during normal times, but especially alarming during a pandemic. There was hair and dirt on the floors, the baseboards were covered in a film and looked like they hadn't been wiped down in years, and the window sills were covered in dust and dead gnats. Several spider webs (WITH SPIDERS) were formed in the top of the blinds as well. The most disturbing discovery was the dried blood spot about the size of a quarter on the top of the blinds in the room when you walk into the property. We immediately left and droppped the keys off in mailbox and I contacted Lynne to let her know we would not be staying and that I would appreciate a full refund after I listed all of the unsanitary items we found. She was immediately defensive and quite rude and refused to refund any amount. She stated (just lke in all of the other reviews where customers complained about unclean condtions) that she has been doing this for 25 years and no one else complains. So basically, "If we are unhappy, too bad." She stated that she was goiing to offer us a stay at another time because of red tide and rain, but I apparently ticked her off so much with my findings that she decided not to do that afterall. (why would I want to return to such a flithy place?) Her response to my description of the condition of the property was that she brought another renter from the property in to look around and didn't see any of the items we found (even though I told her I took several pictures of the items and was happy to send them to her). She basically accused me of lying. After all the years I have rented vacation properties through VRBO, I have never had a negative experience with a property or owner. I have never left a bad review. Until now. This is was completely unacceptable and very disappointing, not to mention that I basically threw away several hundred dollars since she would not provided any refund. The only thing that turned the situation around was that luckily we were able to immediately book another property down the street and the owner was so accomodating and apologetic (though obviously not her fault) when I showed her the pictures. This allowed us the ability to actually enjoy our trip.

Couldn’t beat the price and more importantly the location. The beach is literally across the street. While the love seat and chair could be updated, it had everything I could need. Lynne was very responsive! I drove my full size truck down and working with Lynne we figured it would fit, albeit a tight fit. Although if you are bringing a full size vehicle I’d recommend backing into the driveway. It’s kind of hard seeing the road backing out. Definitely would stay here again and did I mention the beach was right across the street?

It's named "Almost Beach". You're not on the beach, but almost. You're bathing suit doesn't have a chance to dry before you get "home". Clean, no frills, close to the beach apartment. Stove, fridge, microwave, t.v., bathroom and a spot for everyone to lay down their head.

Only stayed two nights but enjoyed the stay! Great location!

No frills, very serviceable, one minute off the most glorious beach, it’s an older hole in the wall property .. but that is a compliment not an insult. Internet was great, I cooked and had plenty of equipment snd a full range

We were first timers on Anna Maria so the only thing I would recommend if ur not renting a car is to rent a golf cart ahead of time for your first day and get all your shopping for the week done if you can . Then the Trolly or the Monkey bus is great and easy and free after that. Just tipparking is tough during the high seasons. Trolly great. Foldable back pack beach cooler and chair are good to get also when u want to visit different beaches. Will return

Drab, dark -- not enough lights or outlets. Too small to be comfortable for more than 2 persons. No doors on bedrooms, but if you're going to out on the beach or away all day I guess it might suit some folks. The best feature is that the beach is right across the street.

Other than a kind of odd check-in, our stay was excellent. Only steps to the uncrowded beach, 1.5 miles from Fishing Charter marina pick-up. Facilities had all you could need and we had a great week. A comfortable walk to the Ana Maria Island Pier and lots of restaurants & entertainment. Would recommend.

This was a great quick vacation spot for me and my family with the beach just across the street!

Overall the place was very clean on the inside. Outside foliage needs trimming. Inside was cozy but a little small. Bathroom was like being in a camper or motorhome. can't move around too much in there or in the shower. AC was only in living room but the rooms had fans. The bedrooms really didn't have doors so. no privacy but overall clean inside. Manager was very curt in her tone.

The location was awesome right across the street from the beach. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked everyday we where there. The unit is small but adequate and well loved.

The place was clean and cozy, and steps from the beach. The trolley takes you all over the island. Thanks for everything Lynne, hopefully we will see you next year.

If you are a high end upscale type of person this property is probably not for you; however, if you want a comfortable affordable get away with kids it’s perfect. One bedroom is a queen (I think) the other has two twin beds which worked great for me being just myself and two boys. The bathroom is in the larger bedroom and there isn’t a solid door for the bedroom itself so if you want more privacy or a locking door just be aware. Everything was in working order and it is located right across the street from the beach so location is super convenient. Would recommend!
