So nice to be just a few steps (and a ferry ride) away from the French Quarter but not to be in it all the time.

Very cozy apartment with amazing views. I stayed 3 months, and it was the perfect apartment and location for my business trip. The communication with the owner during the entire stay was the best I have ever experienced. She continually checked in to see how I was doing and if anything was needed. The neighborhood was very quiet, and the neighbors were very friendly which make you feel welcome. The location was awesome!! The Mississippi trail across the street provided a nice, paved walking/biking path along the river. A Two-minute walk to the ferry with a five-minute ride and you are a short walk from the French Quarter, French Market, Jefferson Square and so much more that the city has to offer. Will defiantly stay here again on my next trip to NOLA!!

We had an amazing experience! The home is cute, cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. Neighborhood is so charming! We took a short walk down to eat brunch at the neighborhood café. Ferry to The French Quarter/Garden District is steps away! Great location! I would definitively recommend and would stay again!

Located by the ferry terminal at Algiers Point this apartment is ideal for visiting New Orleans. We purchased 3 day passes using the Mobile Ap which covered us for the ferry, trolley buses (great fun) and buses.
The apartment has everything you could need, a bit too much in some cases and we did find it difficult to find places to put our own stuff. Having said that this is obviously Tina’s home and we were pleased she was trusting enough to let us stay there.

First time staying in Algiers Point since I've always stayed in the French Quarter. It's so quite in the point and the ferry is a short ride to the Quarter.
You can buy a 3 day Jazz Pass and take the ferry, bus or streetcar for $8. We went everywhere!

We stayed at this property for a week. It is a great location. Close to the ferry to get to the French Quarter but we could easily return to the quiet neighborhood for some rest. Home was decorated nicely and felt very cozy

We had such a wonderful time in Algier's Point, and the house was everything we'd hoped for. It was clean, conveniently close to the ferry, and full of charm. Our host was so helpful! Would highly recommend!

We loved the neighborhood and the levee for walks, bike rides, and hoverboarding all while watching the river traffic. The house was so nice. It was very clean and had everything we needed. A very memorable spring break stay for us and our granddaughters.

Husband, daughter and I stayed for three days to explore NOLA and have a nice quiet stay across the River. It was absolutely perfect. We had some warm and cold weather and it was great to use the air conditioners and then also the heater. The house itself is fabulous! Thank you so much!

Pros
1. Property manager very accommodating, to me the best part of the listing.
2. Just across the water away from craziness
3. Listing as described
4. The sunroom is so beautiful and I spent most of my time there when I was in the actual vrbo
Cons
1. The girl I rode with, someone tried to steal her car so the back window got busted out so maybe not the best neighborhood but it is still NOLA so it is what it is…
2. The ferry closes at 11/11:30 ish so if you are partying late charge your phone to order a Lyft.
3. The house is old and to get in is a physical key. So if you and your guest split up you need to coordinate who has the key and keep track of it. Also be aware of the buttons on the side of the door. If you accidentally press one of them it prevents you opening up the door from the outside no matter if it is unlocked.
4. The bedroom is not private, only a curtain between the rooms.

Very cozy and well kept upstairs apartment. 2 minute walk to the ferry that takes you straight to Canal street. Super convenient but away from the bustle of downtown so you can relax if needed.

Very quaint unit. Everything was clean and well equipped. There were plenty of towels and linens. Very comfortable quiet place to relax after exploring the action of the Quarter. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Quick ferry ride to all the action.

This property is 150 yards from the Ferry Terminal which takes you directly into the foot of Canal Street. Tina is an excellent host to deal with and responds quickly and helpfully. The apartment is an older traditional property in a safe neighbourhood, with ample cooking facilities and comfortable beds. We so enjoyed being able to ride the ferry and come home after a day exploring.

This was the cutest place that I have been to all year. It was in the perfect location for us. It was nice riding a ferry for My first time. I definitely enjoyed my birthday and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit and will recommend to my friends!

Ideal location in the Algiers Point neighborhood of New Orleans. Two bedrooms; one bath. Perfect for a weekend with our adult daughter. We wandered the low-key neighborhood, gawking at houses and sampling coffee or pizza from local restaurants. For a whopping $1.00 we took the ferry to the greater hustle and bustle of Jackson Square. The ferry is steps from the house, runs every 20 minutes, and drops you at the Aquarium. Easy walk to Jackson Square.
The owner is great. We always got a quick response. Key in a lockbox made check-in easy. The unit is on the second floor so there is a flight of stairs for those with mobility issues. Spotlessly clean with interesting treasures and visual arts throughout (toddlers beware). A few pictures or artwork referenced Boston or Massachusetts which made us chuckle since we are from Massachusetts.
Thank you, Tina. We'll be back.

In addition to being the perfect place to stay for quick access to the French Quarter, we found Algiers Point to be a very quaint place that has a nice coffee house and some delightful cafes.

Great stay, neighborhood is better than initial appearance, just older buildings. Ferry to French quarters is awesome, easy to use and quick!

This was the best Vrbo we've stayed in, in 15 years of coming annually to NOLA. Doesn't get any better!!

This is a lovely spot from which to enjoy all that NOLA offers. 2 mins to the boat to the French Quarter, fabulous coffee shop so close you are practically making the coffee yourself, and a friendly little bar/restaurant around the corner to watch sport. The place itself has everything you need for your stay, including a REALLY comfortable bed and a fully stocked kitchen. It's also full of NOLA charm including a lovely porch to sit with a coffee and a book. We loved it and will definitely be back. Communication with Tina was great too.

The location is absolutely ideal, not even a block to the ferry which takes you to the heart of the city. But then you can leave all that behind and return to the relaxing and quiet neighborhood. The house was well laid out and very comfortable. We had a great time with our two boys (ages 9 and 8) and wouldn’t hesitate to book again in the future.

The place was perfect! Walking distance to Ferry, very comfortable beds, the best shower, and a great porch to have morning coffee! The host responds very quickly but we didnt need to contact her other than check in and chexk out, the house had everything we needed! We will definitely stay here again!

After multiple trips to New Orleans (all with varying degrees of success) I can conclude this property was the best way to do it. Staying on the other side of the river keeps you out of the craziness of downtown, but keeps the charm and aesthetic.
Inside, the house is a beautiful display of NOLA maximalism. It feels like a home rather than a space hastily converted into a generic rental. There’s enough space for a group of people: two bedrooms, a full bathroom, a big shotgun kitchen and loungey living room area. The owner keeps it clean and provides more than enough supplies for you to do your part in tidying up after.
As far as the area goes, Algiers point is a nice reprieve from the quarter. There’s several good coffee shops, bars and shops within walking distance. A nicely surprising amount of cute dogs at every turn, too. For anything else, it’s probably a short drive away.
Tina (owner) is great about communication and responds quickly. There’s alternate contact info handy as well.
There’s only a few negative aspects I can think of and even then aren’t a big deal for most people.
1) steepish stairs leading up to the rooms
2) boat and train horns going off at night sometimes
3) only a curtain separates the rooms
Actually that’s all I can think of. This place made our trip so much more comfortable and is one of my top 5 rentals I’ve EVER stayed in!

This is an excellent property- decorated nicely (lots of charm!), very comfortable and clean, and the homeowner responds very promptly to any questions or concerns. I 100% will return, and I absolutely recommend this house!
