"Bliss by the Lake" Dieses einzigartige, runde Haus mit 2 Etagen, 4 Schlafzimmern, 3 Bädern ist geräumig und praktisch und bietet viel Platz für die ganze Familie. Extremely well stocked and clean with all the comforts of home! Nice layout for 2 families to spread out comfortably. Very quiet and peaceful little oasis.
The location at the end of the lake made swimming less than desirable, but the access to the beach down the road was a nice alternative. Getting back up the driveway was a little daunting at times at well! Overall a great time was had!!

This property is beautiful, clean, and very well-maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. The deck was great, and my sister and I spent most of our time there. The property manager, Kathleen, quickly responded to our concern about a rotting board on the dock. It was fixed right away. The only negative was the steps down to the lake. They were made of stone, very uneven, and not kid—or senior-friendly. Unfortunately, I am sad to say that we probably won't be back for that fact alone. However, my son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter loved the dock. Highly recommend this property for younger adults.

We spent a week in this home for a family reunion trip, and we were shocked by the space in the best way possible. You can really tell the owners of this property want you to have a wonderful time during your stay. It is a luxury experience that is more comfortable and homey than you can believe. The home’s layout really maximizes the space and makes great sense. Not only is it a beautiful house in a great location, but there are so many amenities included in the stay, beyond what you can probably even imagine. The Rumbling Bald passes were such a nice touch. There were so many pots, pans, and even ingredients available for use in the kitchen. We were continuously impressed by the things at our disposal. The closet in the basement has so many fun things to do. This house truly has it all! Our family certainly made use of the dock, paddle boat, rafts and canoe while fishing! We so appreciated being able to spend the week in this space.

We had such a great time at the house, it's a beautiful home and extremely well maintained. We especially enjoyed sitting in the screened patio and watching the lake. Given the weather we couldn't use the firepit, but did use the indoor fire place; one suggestion is to bring your wood that may be drier (from the store), the wet wood will give off a lot of smoke. Bathrooms were very clean, basement looked brand new, Kitchen was very well stocked as well.We will definitely be back!

The house eas amazing and the best stocked VRBO we have stayed in. Had a little difficulty finding sheets for the sofa bed and trunnel beds. Lots of outside seating options / my favorite was probsbly the screen porch. Amazing to find such a nice place that was pet friendly. Paddle boat and canoe provided top entertainment for the kids (life jackets were provided) Pool table and darts a favorite of our High School and college kids. One bedroom was missing a tv remote and kitchen lighting a little dim when sun not shining Would definitely consider staying again because overall was an amazing experience

We stayed at Bliss by the Lake in August for a week-long family vacation and had a wonderful experience. The home was well-appointed with everything we could need for our young children (think pack n play, life vests, toys, games) all the way through adults.The home was very clean and well stocked. We cooked most meals and never had an issue finding a cooking tool or utensil. Additionally, the beds were extremely comfortable, and linens were high-quality. After long-days enjoying the lake, having a great place to sleep is much-appreciated.The screened in porch was used from early morning, through afternoon storms, and well-into the evening as the temperatures cooled. Access to the amenities in Rumbling Bald were a favorite and the location allowed for easy trips up and down to the resort. We loved having a dock on bald mountain lake right out back as well as access to the full beach on Lake Lure at the resort. We loved our stay and will look to return in the future.

This house was all and more than the description. It was a great place to stay. So clean, which is important to me. So very well furnished. Decorated so beautifully. The beds were great. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed all of it. Had fires in the firepit. Took the Canoe and Paddleboat out. The lake is beautiful. The pool table and games were great. TV's in all room. The property manager was very cooperative and friendly. We would stay there again.

Very nice property, clean and as listed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kitchen well appointed, beds comfortable. Only things that I can think of that would improve the stay would be: a comprehensive channel listing for the TV (channel guide on tv was incomplete, we discovered dozens of more channels midway through our stay and: additional towel bars in the downstairs bathroom (easily overcome by hanging towels in bedroom closets). Convinient to local attractions, grocery store, etc. We would rent again.

We had a great time at "Bliss by the Lake!" The house was incredibly clean and honestly looks like it was just renovated. The beds were all comfortable (except the pull out sofa, don't recommend) and the screened in porch was perfect for relaxing and looking for roaming bears. There was plenty of kitchen stuff and we cooked/grilled a lot. We had a couple issues early on, but they were resolved immediately by the awesome property manager, Kathleen! The internet was super fast if you wired in (we had multiple people working/taking calls during the week) and otherwise average if you were using wifi. There is basically zero cell service at the house and nearby. As a heads up, there were towels but otherwise no bathroom essentials (e.g., shampoo, conditioner, body soap). The location is great for its privacy, but the mountain roads are quite windy and very dark at night. We highly recommend both the Lake Adventure Boating Company & Canopy Ridge Ziplining (both fairly close to the house). Having the Rumbling Bald resort just down the road was really nice as well. We utilized their gym, kayaked on the lake, and tried out the lazy river. In our opinion, it was not really walkable (hills, lack of sidewalks), but it was a short drive (<5 min).

The resort area is wonderful! Beautiful beach surrounded by mountains with plenty of activities. The house is nice and spacious. It could use some general updating though. Most of the kitchen appliances need updating. It is also a very small kitchen to work in. Very little counter space.Furniture is getting worn out. There was some broken furniture on the porch and the dock. I feel the property management company could pay closer attention to this property . I also feel the cleaning company could do a much better job overall inside and out!Other than that we had a very nice time!

The only recommendation I would make is to bring dry firewood with you. There were many options for entertaining ourselves regardless of the age you are. Comfortable and very roomy home. Rooms are designated so that adults can be playing cards or just socializing on one level while younger adults have more than ample space on second level. House is comfortably furnished and well located. Rental staff more than pleasant and hepful.

Great house and great location!
Bliss by the Lake was a lovely, clean and well equipped home during our one week stay. My family enjoyed our stay and I would certainly rent the property again. My only suggestions to the owners would be to update the kitchen and perhaps the beds and certainly, something could be done to have trash pickup. I am aware there is a bear problem and realize trash can not be left out but it was a real imposition, especially upon leaving with a full vehicle, to take the last of the trash. We attempted to do so only to be stopped due to an ongoing race. We had to take the trash back to the house and deposit it in the bin. Other than that, our trip was most enjoyable and your management most accommodating.

We had a great time staying on Lake Lure! The resort area is wonderful! Beautiful beach surrounded by mountains with plenty of activities. The house is nice and spacious. It could use some general updating though. Most of the kitchen appliances need updating. It is also a very small kitchen to work in. Very little counter space.Furniture is getting worn out. There was some broken furniture on the porch and the dock. I feel the property management company could pay closer attention to this property . I also feel the cleaning company could do a much better job overall inside and out!Other than that we had a very nice time!

Good Family Time at Bliss by the Lake
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend with extended family at Bliss by the Lake. We were a group of 10 (6 adults, 2 teens, and 2 children), and there was plenty of space for us all. The canoes and kayak were great to have there, and the quietness of the lake was lovely. We did appreciate having access to the resort as well, where we swam at the beach and played mini golf. We certainly would consider returning to this property for another family getaway.

Perfect family house!
My family rented this house over Memorial Day weekend. We were five adults, a 7-year-old and 3-year-old twins. We loved this house! It was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated with wonderful original art, and had everything we needed. The kids loved the foosball table and the dock and we all loved the screened-in porch. The layout of the house is great because the kitchen, dining area, living room and porch are all one big area, so we were all together even when some people were cooking or playing with the kids or setting the table. It rained for a good portion of our stay, so we didn't get to be outside as much as we'd hoped, so we'll be back to enjoy the boats, lake and dock more! Having access to the Rumbling Bald Lake Resort facilities is wonderful! We played putt putt golf, enjoyed the pool and lazy river, and the kids loved the playground/beach area and the ice cream. We all fell in love with this area and the resort itself. The staff at Buffalo Junction Properties were FANTASTIC to work with. They were responsive, professional and very personable. A staff member and her husband met us to check us in and had resort and house information for us, and gave very clear check-in and check-out instructions. I would definitely recommend this house! We loved every inch of it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Bliss By the Lake. We all enjoyed the canoes and kayak. The pictures of the house did not do it justice. It was better than what we expected. For new comers I would suggest taking the Lake Lure tour on the pontoon boat. The only negative we had was the driveway. We had a front wheel drive and had to back out of the driveway up the hill. Driving forward up the rock driveway would result in just spinning the tires.

Bliss By teh Lake - on Bald Mountain - The property was clean and better than we expected.
The layout of the property was great for our family. Everyone enjoyed the canoes, kayak, and amenities. The only complaint we had was the rock driveway. We had two front wheel drive cars and had to back out of the driveway in order to get out. If you tried to drive out forward the tires would just spin about half way up due to the steep grade. I would suggest paving the upper two thirds of the driveway.

We had a fantastic family vacation in Bliss by the Lake August 2017. It was my husband and I, my 86-year old mother, my sister, my two sons (12 and 14), a friend (13), and my niece (16). The kids had fun every day paddling Doc Holiday out into the lake and playing 'king of the hill'. We also kayaked and canoed every day. It was peaceful, quiet, and yet there was lots to do. We went to Sliding Rock one day and Chimney Rock one day. Also visited the resort pool (small pool). The house was clean and as advertised. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Beautiful Get Away
We enjoyed the property. Nice and relaxing. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because you have to wash your own towels and take off the garbage and pay a $175 cleaning fee. Other than that, we had a great time.

Beautiful, well maintained home on private lot.
We really enjoyed this unique home, the pictures do not do it justice! Well equipped kitchen and seating for our group. Private dock, canoes, kayaks a great bonus. Only negative is the driveway was a bit rough to get up and down, gravel needed to be resurfaced, many ruts to maneuver due to the rain fall. Otherwise a superb accommodation!

Perfectly blissful
Bliss by the Lake was just perfect for a long weekend gathering of our group of 5 long-time girlfriends. The house was comfortable in every way, from the seating area around the indoor fireplace, to the open-plan kitchen with large dining table, to the game table just the right size for working jigsaw puzzles, to the screened porch, to the well-placed bedrooms. The sounds of rushing water could easily be heard from the screened porch, adding to the tranquility of the setting. LOVED the fire pit, the view of the lake, the dock and the canoes. A lovely 3.5 mile hiking trail was just down the street. Grocery shopping was easy at the well-stocked Ingles in Lake Lure (where you can also buy firewood) - about an 18 minute drive from the house. We did not take advantage of the massages offered by the resort, but would have if we'd been there a day longer. All in all, a terrific place to relax with old friends.

Wonderful, spacious cabin. Our kids loved that it was a circle. Great little stream going into the lake was perfect for our kids.
