Home was everything as described. Lots of room for our party of 11. Close to multiple golf courses. Host was very nice and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again! (And probably will)

This house was perfect for our large gathering of friends and family. The main gathering area was perfect for hanging out, with plenty of seating for everyone. The pool table was a marquee feature, as was the front room full of windows, offering great views of the mountain when the clouds cleared. There are several tables to play games on and some games are provided. The kitchen was large, with counters a-plenty, and it was well stocked. There are TWO refrigerators. We only used one but I can see some people liking having a second. The overall layout is a little wonky, but it does separate the gathering space from the sleeping space for those early to bed. Once we walked through a couple of times, it all made sense. I was surprised to find the hot tub elevated near the main living areas.
Overall, the home and furniture are dated. This did not bother our group, but if you are finicky about these things, this may not be the home for you. We found it to be fun and less stressful than having a bunch of kids in a fancy home. One of my grandsons exclaimed “what the heck is that!?!?” when he saw the tube-style TV in his room with a built-in VCR. Lol. There was a “boom-box” that took cassettes near the dining room table. It’s a walk back in time for sure. The home is located close to Seven Springs, which was our goal. The turnoff to the home is actually across from the North Entrance to the ski resort. There is plenty of parking for a large group.
The great views comes at a price.

Said it was air conditioned but the truth is there were only 4 indoor air conditioning units that didn’t cool down this huge house. The house was hot and musty when we arrived. This was a memorial weekend with our family after we buried our parents and the oven didn’t work. The beds were terrible and the house overall was over priced for how old and out dated it was. Would never stay again.

Several of the mattresses need to be replaced, several of us were sleeping, like tacos, with big valleys in the middle. The fire extinguisher is 1999 it needs to be replaced every six years. There needs to be a professional, insect company or rodent company, the rat poison was left out and our dog ate it. The dog is fine and the back hall to the main level three bedroom smells like cat urine, other than that-it worked out.

This property was very spacious with beautiful views. I enjoyed a weekend with my parents, my children and my grandchildren. I really appreciated that there was already a Christmas tree and we were able to leave ours in the vehicle. There was nothing we “needed” that we couldn’t find in a closet, cupboard or drawer.

Cozy, comfy house. We had 5 families with 12 kids ranging 10-16 and had a blast!

The house was amazing. If you could think of any ammenity chances were it was provided. All 8 people agreed the beds were extemely comfortable which guaranteed a well needed nights sleep!! The driveway was a bit of a challenge.

The close proximity to Seven Springs was great. My grandchildren enjoyed all the activities there. We have a large family and there were large common areas for us to visit as a group. The view of the Laurel Highlands was excellent. I would recommend this property for large families or groups.

The driveway takes you by surprise. We may have been concerned if there was a real amount of snow but I will say they had the number to the plow service posted for your use, not that we needed it though. The house is so big we got lost the first few times through. Actually the size of the house made it fun for the kids playing hide and seek lol.
The rooms were all nice and a reasonable size. A couple of the couches could be replaced but still completely useable. The pool table was awesome to have and well used during our stay! There was to be a dart baord that serveral would have used however it was not there. We did call and question it and was told it should be there but we came to the conclusion that a previous renter my have left with it as there was a wreath in its place and the hot tub room had a wreath holder without a wreath. Speaking of the hot tub, it was even put to great use! There's a nice bar with a mini fridge that wasnt working but they do have 2 refrigerators in the kitchen area. We just used a couple coolers at the bar to make it work. The views were amazing from the sunsets to the slopes of seven springs! Your are less then 10 minutes from seven springs and a few local marts. We did have to call about the dart board and a breaker but the call was answered every time no issues. Internet was so, so. We had 12 people and was completely comfortable. It is the house we plan to rent for years to come!

The good:
1. The view is breathtaking. You can see several of the slopes at Seven Springs from the front window.
2. Lovely deck. Did not use it much as we visited in December and there was quite a bit of snow.
3. The plowing. We called to asked to have the very steep driveway plowed. The individual that did the plowing arrived quickly and did a very thorough job.
4. The large trashcan in the kitchen was very handy.
Not so good:
1. The driveway is very steep with two sharp turns. While our four-wheel drive vehicles handled this fine (especially with the driveway having been recently plowed) it did cause several of the drivers in our family some anxiety.
2. The hot tub is very old and holds only two people. We did not use it.
3. Some of the blinds on the windows were missing the knob to easily open and close them. Several rooms have windows with no window coverings so you are woken by morning light.
4. We could not get the main fireplace to work. The pilot was lit, but it would not turn on with the remote. A message to the property manager was answered six hours later with a suggestion to use a lighter. We did not use the fireplace.
5. My father could not get the fireplace to light in the main bedroom.
6. The internet went in and out and was generally unreliable.
7. There are ONLY TWO KING BEDS. The listing on VRBO indicates three rooms with king beds. There are only two and they are in the adjoining rooms (you have to walk through one to get to the other). So unless you have the master and adjoining room, you will be stuck with a queen or full bed.
8. Several of the beds (not all of them) were extremely uncomfortable. They appeared very old and need to be replaced.
9. Likewise, the bedding in several of the rooms was very old and faded.
10. There is a pull-out couch, but you cannot use it as it does not have a mattress.
11. The main bathroom on the main floor had a broken handle that did not lock.
12. There were numerous stains on the carpeting.
13. The chairs at the main dining table were ancient and uncomfortable; it seemed as if the padding or springs were long gone.
14. As mentioned in a review from 2020, there is still no handles on the main refrigerator or freezer.
15. We heard and saw several mice during our visit. We grew up in the country and aren't too bothered by this, but I know that some people would find this very upsetting.
I also have photos of the above mentioned issues but was unable to attach them to this review.

The home is very large and fun to explore. Seems like it was added onto over the years. It will sleep a LOT of people but some of the bedrooms require you to walk through other bedrooms to get to them. Amazing views and location particularly if you're going skiing. We had great weather but the driveway would probably be a bit rough with snow/ice.

We had a great time. Plenty of space. No need to bring extras everything we needed was provided. Kitchen stuff , towels ,
bedding, I would recommend staying here.

Everything was as described, communication was easy and they were very nice to let us check in early as the house was not rented prior to us. Only two problems we encountered were the drive way starting to deteriorate at the bends and should be filled and there was work being done on a house prior this one on the street and the landscaping/concrete crews were in no rush to move equipment and let us past. That being said, that’s a rare occurrence and I highly recommend the property and manager overall!

Big place, nice location, could use small improvements
The property was large enough to accommodate 16 of us. It was in a nice location and had enough bedrooms. The pillows and comforters could be refreshed. Some bathroom doors would not lock. Water pressure was very low in the showers. Overall was comfortable for a short stay.

Great Cabin - Tucked Away
The house was perfect for a guys weekend getaway - plenty of bedrooms and open floorspace. The deck was perfect to sit out and enjoy the views of Seven Springs and the surrounding areas.

Great location and tons of space
We had a great time, and loved the space. A couple of weird quirks: one of the bedrooms is nested in another one, and you have to duck under a weird mini-walkway, about 4 ft tall, to get into it. Also the hot tub is indoors and some of the bathrooms are carpeted. Can’t complain though, it was a huge space and right next to Seven Springs.

Picturesque Lodge Weekend Getaway
Spacious mountain getaway was the perfect setting for a ski weekend. A very short drive from the slopes in a secluded neighborhood. Plenty of room and our large group was not crammed at all! Amenities were plentiful and views of the mountain couldn't be beat.

Excellent location Great view
We had a very large group of adults (6 couples and 2 singles) go skiing for a long weekend. This house provided plenty of living space and comfort for our group. The host was very responsive and helpful. The snow removal crew did a great job and was MUCH appreciated!! The pool table is a bit worn with only one good cue but it did provide many hours of entertainment. The numerous gas heaters and/or fire places did a great job keeping the house warm during our stay while the temperatures outside were in the single digits.

Relaxing
Great view for morning coffee, short distance to the resort. Confusing layout inside, but overall a nice place

Nice getaway for the winter
Overall, the property was nice. The one thing that really frustrated us was the lack of AC. We ended up there (mid September) on a weekend that happened to be close to 80 degrees. Unfortunately, the small AC units in a few of the rooms (we thought there would be central air) did not cut it. One broke, and we played phone tag all weekend trying to get it fixed, then replaced, which never ended up happening. It so happened to be in one of the main areas of the house, so we spent the majority of each day roasting and sweating. Thankfully in the evenings it cooled off enough to sleep.
The living areas were nice, the kitchen was nice as well. The bedrooms were decent too. I think this place would be more a lot more enjoyable in the winter. It was nice having two refrigerators. The deck area was nice as well. Sofas could use updating, as they were very broken in and low to sit on.
Overall, a nice place, minus the AC issue.

Family golf outing
We have a large family golf outing every year. This was the perfect location for the 10 of us. Plenty of room to stretch out. People enjoyed the pool table as well as the hot tub. Lots of great activities in the area for the non golfers. The view was amazing. Would definitely return!

Comfortable Stay with Minor Surprises
In general, we had a comfortable stay. The view is fantastic! We enjoyed the deck and the game room (with bar) a great deal, and spent most of our time there. The kitchen was large enough to comfortably handle our group of 13 (2 refrigerators helps), and the large propane grill worked well. Everything works, such as windows, doors, locks and latches, showers, faucets, appliances, etc. I didn't see anyone use the hot tub. Given the size, location, and condition of the house, I think the price is fair.
We were surprised and initially concerned that only two rooms had air conditioning. But our stay in mid-June had comfortable daytime temperatures and cool nighttime temperatures, so we were completely comfortable.
Other reviews complain about the condition of the house. Some of the furniture was a bit old, but all was in good condition. We enjoyed the pool table quite a bit, but it should be re-felted. The exterior was in the prep stages for paint while we were there. Bedroom #8 appears to be a low-ceiling finished attic space, which doesn't appear to have good ventilation, but good light. I don't consider these complaints, merely facts.
The hosts communicated well, primarily via text (SMS) with a couple very important emails. We were completely comfortable with checkin, and our single real concern (a missing cue ball for the pool table) was taken very seriously and resolved. A relatively small thing that could have had a major negative impact, but did not because it was resolved quickly.
Who we are:
We had a small family reunion of 13 people spanning ages 20 through 80. We spent most of our three day weekend at the house, with daily outings of about 3-4 hours, but ate all meals at the house. The weather hovered in the 60s and 70s, with rain and thunderstorms on our second full day.

Property needs alot of work
My family somewhat enjoyed the time being together. The space and the layout was perfect. However the overall cleanliness and appearance needs alot of improvement. Sheets and linens and comforters need to be change they are very discolored torn or smusky in smell. The furniture were old and almost broken down and stained and a bit smelly. For such a nice house with great potential it really needs to be updated because it's more like they horded a lot of junk for the property. We had a really big issue on out first day with based on what previous quest did However it was handled immediately. I would definitely go back if they spend more time on the details of this place.

We had a wonderful weekend at this lovely place!! Endless views and the pool table is such a fun plus! We enjoyed the fire pit under a big sky of stars!
