It was the perfect spot with kids. It had everything we needed and it was SO easy to get to the slopes, child care center, etc. The weather wasn't great which made us even more grateful for the conveniences this condo had to offer. We had a wonderful trip! Thank you!

We stayed in the unit the first week in January 2024. We had a great time. Family of 5, 19+ years old. The complex has a little age on it, but it worked great for us. Plenty of room, Wi-Fi, stocked kitchen, washer/dryer. A short walk down a trail to get to the Sugar Mt. Ski area. Close to restaurants (go early). Kids skied and wife and I hiked in the National Forests in the area. Small towns around Sugar and Beech Mts are cool to visit and have a few down-home places to eat. Nothing fancy. We even toured a cavern in Bristol, TN about an hour away. Owner/rep was very responsive to our needs (thank you!!). We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay in Sugar Mountain! The cabin is so lovely and well maintained. The communication from the property manager was quick and helpful! We would certainly recommend this place to anyone in the Boone/Banner Elk area.

The directions are just a little sketchy….. GPS will not be much help nonetheless we found it. The furniture is definitely in need of updating. The beds slept great! Communication with the host well…. She never messaged me back. Tried calling and it went to voicemail. Overall the stay was alright.

The property is in a great location! The only drawback we had, and it may not be something you can not help, is we could only pick up one channel with the cable and netflix would not work. Other than that the condo was great! We really enjoyed our weekend stay.

A great condo with an even better location. Just a quick walk along a wooded trail to skiing, tubing and ice skating. I could see the walk being more difficult if you're carrying ski gear, but we were renting so it wasn't an issue. Parking can be cramped, but on the plus side we only needed to leave a couple times for groceries (very short drive) and a dinner out (Bella's was great).

We really enjoyed our time in this cozy condo. We took advantage of the close proximity to sugar mountain to ski each day! We enjoyed returning to the condo for breaks and used their well equipped kitchen to cook. It was great!

3 Generations Ski Weekend
Positives: The location could not be better!! Loved walking over to the ski slopes. Bedrooms were spacious and the loft was adorable.
Negatives: The photos of the living area are somewhat deceptive. It is much smaller than it appeared. I'm not sure the floors in the living area had been vacuumed. The furniture in this area could use some updating. There are a couple of boards on the back deck that probably need to be replaced for safety.

Great spot
Very comfortable condo, conveniently located walking distance to snowboarding and tubing. Not the easiest walk due to missing railing in some spots, but really close to the slopes. Mattresses were super comfortable and kitchen had everything you could possibly need.

The only con is we needed to buy dish detergent. When I asked the host about it, she said we need to buy it ourselves. But it was not a big deal.
The place was really close to the ski resort, so you can just walk. Cozy and warm.

Great stay at Sugar Mountain
This property is located right in the middle of all the Sugar Mountain activities: skiing, skating, tubing, and more. You can walk from the property to any of these. The condo was nice and easily fit six of us. Like most condos, there is not much soundproofing, so if you are a light sleeper then you may want to bring earplugs if either the rest of your company get loud or any of your neighbors get loud. Overall a great stay with all the amenities and we would stay again.

It was good. Had a wonderful time with our 3 boys there snowboarding. Just a short walk to the ticket booth and lifts. Very comfortable.

Mountain Tubing Trip
Property was very nice! However it was very hot almost too hot to stay in the Summer without AC. Only the front windows opened, so you had to had several fans running and it still was not that comfortable. Overall, I would recommend for a late fall, winter or very early spring trip but not SUMMER.

The location is great- easy access to Sugar Mountain Resort for all kinds of activities. The parking lot is very tight and awkward to navigate through. The townhome is older but well-maintained, and the property was very clean. From the back deck, you can see the ice rink. The property description says it sleeps 10, but with 3 queen beds and 2 twin beds, there’s really only bed space for 8. Perhaps the sofa is a sleeper sofa? We didn’t need more space than for 8. The decor is very dated. One upstairs bedroom has a super tiny TV with a VHS player. Baseboard heat throughout- lots of individual thermostats. Beds were comfy. The access to the loft is super steep and a bit dangerous. Take special care climbing up and down from it. Overall, it’s a great place for a quick weekend trip if you’re planning to spend time at Sugar Mountain Resort or nearby.

Outstanding Experience
Recently stayed at this property and was very happy with the overall experience. I want to highly praise the owner, Shara Livingston, for all the assistance she gave me prior to our trip. When I made the reservation I inadvertently mistyped my email address so I was not getting any notifications from VRBO. I was able to contact Shara and, after multiple emails back and forth, she was able to help me correct everything. Shara truly went above and beyond in helping me with this reservation. The property itself was exactly what we needed for our stay...very clean and comfortable....great location. I would highly recommend this property and would happily stay there in the future. On a five star scale, I would rate it a TEN!!!!

Great location and well stocked
We had 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 3-7) in our crew and this was the perfect little spot for our 2 night mountain adventure. The nature trail was a fun and easy walk to the slopes, ice skating and tubing- the kids loved it! We brought just about everything from home, but the kitchen was also well stocked. This condo was also super close to grocery stores and dining, which was great! We had chili one night and ordered take out from Bellas Italian one night. We really enjoyed staying at the condo! It was so convenient to the slopes. The walkway takes you right to the base of Sugar mountain were the parking is. We had a group of 4 adults, 4 kids and it was cozy but in a good way. Wonderful memories made!

Convenient, nice property
Pleasant property in a lovely location near Sugar Mountain Resort. Walk to the resort (tennis, clubhouse, lifts), or easy drive into Banner Elk. Lots of fantastic hiking nearby. Comms with the property manager were excellent; she was very responsive. Kitchen was well stocked and the townhouse is spacious. Only downside is the pilot light on the gas fireplace was out, and with our first cool nights of the season it would have been nice to use. Overall I recommend and would return!
