Loved the rooms and gorgeous ocean views in each room. Some stuff was a little bit in disrepair, but nothing major. Some other downsides were that there wasn’t an easy way to walk to the beach like I thought there would be and there was a homeless encampment down the embankment.

We recently stayed at this lovely beach condo and had an overall wonderful experience. The condo boasts a beautiful view that made our mornings truly special, and its great location provided access to the beach and local attractions and restaurants. The place was quiet and clean, offering a peaceful retreat from our busy lives.
However, there were a couple of minor inconveniences. The master bedroom lacked blinds, which made it difficult to sleep past sunrise-- something many people like to do on vacation. Additionally, the glass on the deck was quite dirty, and my husband had to clean it himself to fully enjoy the beautiful view.
Despite these small issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this condo to others seeking a serene beach getaway.

Very dissapointed there were no window coverings in the master bedroom, on windows or glass door that leads out to patio. We were able to see inside windows of neighboring condos
Crockpot had mold inside and copper wires coming out of cord.
Tv in master bedroom didn't work.
To be fair, I left the crock pot and a note for housekeeper to make sure they were aware.

The place was nice.
Kitchen was well stocked the master bath was amazing. The views were great!
However, there were a few things that made us uncomfortable and is why I give only a 3 star rating.
The master suite was surrounded in windows with a straight view to the bathroom , this would have been wonderful because the view was spectacular, however, this room NEEDS blinds or curtains to pull in at night. There was nothing but a straight view into the room. This was most UNCOMFORTABLE knowing that anyone could see straight in from the beach or neighbors.
The beds, pillows and sofas were also very hard. I feel like all of these items warranted some attention.
When walking down to the beach we found a hidden trail with what appeared to be a homeless camp. This made me a little nervous having 2 teenage girls with us.
With those things being said the house was roomy and views were amazing, the fireplace was warm and cozy as our week there was mighty chilly.

This property is in an excellent location: looking at the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse (take binoculars) and on the bluff between Nye Beach to the south and Agate Beach to the north. We were able to hike down a rough trail from the condo to the beach, but opted to walk down the beach to an easy access at Nye Beach on the way back. We were minutes from shopping and restaurants. The best find for eating out was Nye Beach Café which made homemade bread everyday. The condo is well equipped for cooking, but in general, it is well loved. The couches are filthy (I put a blanket over them so we did not have to sit on the fabric), the paint is dinged and chipped everywhere and the windows do not seal - leaving it drafty. (It would not have mattered in the summer that fresh air came in from outside. However, it was winter and cold....it even snowed at the beach which was a bonus!). All in all, the location made up for any deficiencies, but I would have loved to give this property a 5-star rating in every category.

This property is an amazing location to stay. Can hear and see the ocean from all bedrooms and main area! Located centrally in Newport, so it's a short walk to many, many restaurants and shops in the town. Great set up for a family. Very clean and well kept property, with more than enough gadgets and dishes in the kitchen to make whatever your heart desires.

The house was lovely. The view was spectacular and the location couldn't be better. However, there were just a few details that would make the stay nicer. There were no extra blankets and only one on the beds. The kitchen needs baking sheets and a good frying pan. These are items someone would expect and not bring their own. To make it a luxury stay, provide quality towels and good bedding, including pillows. Other than that, the stay was fantastic!

Excellent house with killer views but needs some work & updates. BBQ wouldn't light and the grease was moldy. one shade in the master doesn't work and stuck down, chairs at kitchen table are really dirty. killer deck but man those chairs are giant, toss those and get some smaller ones, make that deck useable. Couldn't get the tv/cable to work (and 2 of use are media professionals). Can you add some pans? they are lame, at least go to goodwill and get some useable ones. Otherwise we had a great time, a little spendy though for what it lacked

Excellent location and view of beach. Interior of condo is worn. All cushions on dining room chairs were dirty, and one kitchen cabinet door was missing. The master bedroom shower floor was moldy, and the door to this bedroom was seriously scratched. Even with pillows, it is impossible to sit up straight on the living room couch.

Lots of room & close to Georgie's an outstanding seafood restaurant. The view is AMAZING! Unfortunately it was definitely in need of TLC for the price: lights needed to replaced, lower kitchen cabinets needed to be fixed, and only one small frying pan to cook with. Rose petals in living room were a nice touch, although I doubt they were left for my 75 year old sister's birthday?

Twice technicians had to be dispatched to assist with this pesky problem.

Very Nice Condo in Beautiful location
This space was great for our visit with our elderly & mobility-impaired parents & the location & view are amazing. The grills on the deck were much appreciated & used (both natural gas & charcoal). Elevator access was perfect. Accessibility was good generally, but grab bar by toilets & in showers were needed. Cleanliness, except for floors, was very good. The floors were not clean & obviously had not been for quite some time- lots of dust bunnies, dirty corners in all rooms, big sticky spots in kitchen. We had to wash the windows. Extra tools of toilet paper, paper towels & garbage bags, window cleaner would have been appreciated. Quite a few glasses were chipped. Definitely could have used an extra blanket for each bed. We did rearrange the living room furniture for our stay to better accommodate wheelchair & walkers. Upholstered sofas are decent but we needed more seating. Dining room table was great for 8 adults, although chairs were precarious for elderly parents. AAA batteries were dead in window remotes, but once replaced(& once we had out remote genius work on deciphering operation quirks) worked perfect- a quick guide to operation (laminated & posted) would have saved a lot of time. We did get the TV working, but again, a quick start guide would have been helpful. All in all, we would definitely stay here again., especially since we now know the quirks & features of the property.

The Positives & the Negatives
The positives first: The property is right on the coast above the beach. It has great views to the north of the sea, coast and lighthouse. Both the layout and size of the property are excellent. The three bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. The elevator is a plus. Parking is easy. It is convenient to anything you might want to do in the Newport area.
The negatives: The property is on land above the beach which is clearly eroding. The view to the immediate south of the building shows areas where the earth is falling away and older foundations are crumbling. The condo is not being kept up. The upholstery on the dining chairs is filthy, the upholstery on the living room furniture is also dirty and worn. One of the floor lamps has a broken shade and a couple of the overhead lights have burned out. The shade on one of the windows in the living room, facing the ocean, is broken and cannot be raised. As a result, the view is partially cut off. The floor was very dirty.

We spent over $1300 for our stay in this unit. We stayed there a few years ago with a much better experience than this time. The view was unmatched from this unit but we found it had suffered since we were there last. I can forgive the minor housekeeping over-site but there were issues that made our stay a lot less than we had hoped.

2)there were numerous and serious dents and scratches that might indicate a wheelchair user had stayed for some time. Some of these showed signs of very poor attempts to patch and paint them
3)The cover in the electrical connections to the lower element of the water heater was off leaving 220V live wires exposed.
4)The trim around the door in the second bedroom had been damaged such that a 1/2 gap was evident
5)A living room can light was not properly fixed in it's location
6) a kitchen drawer mysteriously had a cheese grater and a handful of UNO cards
7) The TV that I expected in the second bedroom was in the closet.

We stayed in this lovely condo two nights. The kitchen was adequately stocked the bathroom towels were fine. The overall cleanliness was good and it was quiet. Parking was convenient.
However, two issues greatly reduced our enjoyment .
1. The smoke alarm went off at 12:30 am the first night. Despite our efforts which included our replacement of the battery, the chirping continued for another 12 hours when maintenance resolved the issue. In all fairness, we did not call maintenance until 8 am as it was not an emergence just an annoyance.
2 The other main issue was the TV in the living area. Despite multiple calls and visit by maintenance we were only able to watch The Cooking Channel. There were 5 remotes to operate the Roku with very poor instructions, Roku remote apparently did not work or needed new batteries
Other areas that would make this property a place we would return:
Upgraded bedding
Comfortable seating in the living area. The sofa was fine but the chaise was only comfortable for one person
A chair and or nightstands in the second bedroom
Hook up the tv in the front (kids) bedroom
Clean windows and railing to enjoy the wonderful view
(We washed them)
Safety issues ..,the hot water was scalding hot
The bathtub in the smaller master drained very slowly.
These minor changes would make this a place we would visit again.
However, two issues greatly reduced our enjoyment .

The bathtub in the smaller master drained very slowly.
These minor changes would make this a place we would visit again.

We like to leave a positive review, but sadly this condo was not what we expected. Having rented many places on the Oregon coast we were taken in by the photos of the view which were a bit misleading. The best view is from the windows in the master bedroom which are up and down the beach. The photos were accurate of the interior, but we failed to notice the details. The furniture is worn and soiled from use. The dining chairs should be recovered in a vinyl or material that can be cleaned – they are very dirty. The two primary beds consist of a top mattress on a low frame which is not inviting. The second bedroom has no bedside table so your phone, water, book, etc., have to sit on the floor. The bathrooms are very well appointed and modern, while evidence of blackened or moldy grout was a bit of a turn off. The living room couches are huge, old, deep and difficult to sit on. You have to get up in the couch and need numerous pillows to comfortably sit up even in a lounging position. There are no end tables or coffee table in the living room making it difficult to have a beverage or coffee cup unless you plan to hold it the entire time. There are no table lamps, just overhead can lighting not on dimmers, and some wobbly floor lamps that need to be tightened as they lean and all but come apart. The furniture needs to be replaced throughout. The kitchen is very nice, but again it falls short. Very cheap flatwear and very few forks; in contrast there are probably two dozen plates. Only one medium-sized fry pan was available, but many saucepans. The unit was basically clean, but you get the feeling that it isn’t clean because of the furniture. Although the cushions have not been removed and cleaned of crumbs, potato chips, etc. The remotes were filthy. There was a used and soiled wash cloth left hanging over one of the showers. Overall, it could be more comfortable and accommodating.

A few issues to perhaps be addressed. Since we were asked to not check in until 6:00 it was dark when we arrived. The outside lite by the front door was out, making it difficult to see the lockbox. The 2nd bedroom toilet would not flush correctly. Ended up leaving the top off the back so I could manually fill the tank each time. There really needs to be directions for the television/cable/satellite. The book contains information for an old system. Need information on how to operate the blinds. Perhaps label which remote goes for what room(s). Also, for privacy it would be good to have a blind or something on the door leading out to the deck from the 1st bedroom.
While the place was clean it was not great. Lots of dust and dirt behind dressers (pulled out to plug something in). There are some minor cosmetic repairs that should be done to make the unit even nicer.
Positives: Nice layout, plenty of beds and baths for a large group, amazing view, terrific water pressure, very nice bathrooms with nice towels, etc. The kitchen has everything you would need (and more) for any meal. The deck is great, even in winter you can sit out side because of the glass wall. Wonderful views of the sunset off the deck, you can also see the sunrise out of the 1st bedroom window.
I think we would come again as it is a nice unit and in a great location. And, THAT VIEW- WOW!

Excellent but with comments. The condo was very nice. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms excellent. Kitchen was nice and functional. View was excellent. Problems - TV system was a nightmare, could never figure out how to work it. TV remotes that did not match the instructions. Total of 8 TV remotes? Never sure if any of them had working batteries. Window shades were power, but again no instructions on how to use, some shades worked, some did not. Living Room Couches and dining room chairs are old and dirty/stained. All need to be replaced. We would like to see these things fixed as we would like to stay here again.

A much needed R&R weekend for these weary healthcare workers. Michael's Place has stunning views, and a beautiful balcony. We had everything we needed to enjoy and relax. There were a couple minor maintenance issues. I called OBV and they were helpful on the phone, stating they would have the outside lightbulb replaced (It was very dark at the doorway to get in), but it was not. The window casings were pretty dirty and could have used a good wipe, but other than that the place was very clean. The views from the master bedroom, bath, and shower were gorgeous!! I especially loved the warm tile floor in MB.I was disappointed all the area rugs had been removed, leaving it less homey feeling, and a table or two hear the sofas to place drinks, and or food on would have been helpful, but we improvised. We had a wonderful relaxing stay and we thank you. I would definitely stay here again.

Our experience was good overall because of the beautiful property and views. This unit was not very clean, finish work is pretty damaged, the furniture is not up to par with the quality of the unit & view, and the blinds were not functional the first night (with NO window covering on the master bedroom French door to the deck).
The views are extraordinary, we loved the location and Shoreline Ridge is a beautiful proeperty.

I have been renting condos and houses for up to a week at a time in Newport For the past 20 years and for a “high end” unit this left a lot to be desired...needless to say I will never rent this one again...way too pricy for the list of things undesirable.
