Property manager very easy to work with, easy check in and check out! Love staying at this house!

Place was advertised as having 6 beds and a sleeper sofa. Upon arriving, we found 5 beds and the sofa. Problematic for sure, but the worst part was the host's response. It started with 'no, that's not the way it is advertised', and then went to 'we tossed that bed a long time ago and you wouldn't like it' and ended with 'I have my own problems'. I screen shot the listing...we're on pretty firm ground here. I'll note that the original listing stated that Bdr #1 has a King and a Twin roll away bed; it has since been changed to "sleep/sofa futon". So unless they've put one in there in the past 3 days, that's incorrect too. No couch, etc, in any of the rooms. To answer the host's question as to why it was a big deal; grown adults didn't pay to stay in a house to sleep with people they aren't married to. I realize when I'm stuck between rocks..wasn't much we could do. Disappointed and completely dismayed by the response, but as other reviewers have stated, there aren't alot of options in McCall at the last minute. Add to that, when we booked the place, there were several emails reference the parking. I was advised that there was ample parking on the road in front of the house. I guess I should have asked for further clarification; it's about a 400' walk up a steep hill to get to the road. Not a place to leave a couple of trailers with 100k of toys and equipment in each. The road was clear as advertised. Very tight. House is decent. The kitchen is tiny, but it is well stocked. Good supply of cooking gear, dishes, utensils, etc. BBQ flames...grate is just rotted out, an easy fix. If your a cook, you'll understand how traveling to numerous homes can be a challenge; this one was easy to work with. Thermometers had a difficult time keeping an even temp and we had no less than 7 burned out bulbs..kinda dim. Funniest part was the cleaning...apparently no one looks up. We have fewer dust webs in our attics I think. Basic cleanliness appeared decent, but when the obvious is looked past, it gives one pause, as in, is it really clean? Good supply of towels, garbage bags, and the living room, albeit small, is comfortable. To the host; responding too me that you have a great rating didn't help solve the problem. It was clear to us that somehow this was our problem/fault, but the fact that you listed the arrangements specifically is on you, not those of us that can read and count. It was insulting and you should be embarrassed.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. We will be going back. Tons of snow I don’t recommend you driving down the driveway unless you have a four wheel drive it was super snowy/icey very steep driveway down to the cabin. Needed more kitchen towels and a kitchen wash cloth and more knives. We didn’t have enough when we had steak. Also could use some face wash cloths there wasn’t any but I always come prepared. But Overall it was a super fun vacation we had a blast. So thank you.

The family decided to have a weekend getaway and it was great! The cabin was just what we were looking for. It fit is all and everyone had their own rooms. It is a nice place and exactly what we wanted! Everything worked great and we were really pleased.

Alfredo was very helpful and cheerful! We will be back!

I would stay at this property again in the summer. Some of the amenities of this property were not able to be enjoyed fully in the winter.

The cabin was dirty, mouse droppings everywhere, dead rodent in the wall, smell was horrible, they did remove it but the room was unusable due to the stench. Host offered a full refund if we checked out, well it’s Macall there’s no where to check Into at a moments notice. He didn’t really care or have any offers to compensate for what we had to deal with. In short great views but the place is filthy and has mice everywhere !!!

We had a great week kayaking, floating, swimming, hiking and playing games at this house overlooking a beautiful mountain lake. The host was extremely accommodating and responsive.

Had a great time at this lake house have used this area 2 years in a row we like there house so much.

This is our second year staying here. Rick is very accommodating and so easy to work with. The location is directly on the lake and the perfect size for our group of 6 adults and 4 children. Can't wait for next year!

The property was great and the weather was all over the place but was amazing seeing the scenery as it was in summer, spring, and winter all in one go. The multiple back patio was amazing and loved the private dock to the lake. The location is so lovely, and there is a steep hill down to the property that really made the place feel more private, but was a little scary in the snow with road tires.

For reference, we had 6 adults and one child and we stayed for the winter carnival. As it’s been mentioned, the driveway is not for the faint of heart. Do NOT even book if you don’t have AWD or 4WD. One member of our family had a big Sierra truck and still slid a lot. We fared better with our Subaru Outback. It’s very steep but doable. Also, in the winter there is only 2 bathrooms/showers. I didn’t read the fine print close enough to realize the 3rd bathroom is only in the summer off the deck. We just shuffled and had some at night and so it all worked out. Also, there was just enough seating to have us all hanging out in the living area but if there were more people there wouldn’t be room. Having said that, everything else was great. We loved having temperature controls in each room and loved being right on the lake. (It was frozen and we could walk out on it) We really liked it and are considering renting it again next year.

Easy and straight forward

The pictures of this place were lovely, but did not do it justice! We were sold when we reserved it, but it was even better than we expected. It was large, but super cozy and inviting. The view of the fall colors surrounding the lake were just breathtaking. All our interactions with the owner were all positive. The place was clean and stocked of everything needed. Just a wonderful place and now memory for us!

Being directly on the lake in this lodge setting was so tranquil, we loved the late Fall experience. The house was cozy creating a great space for evenings of story telling. The views from the house onto the lake were spectacular especially during sunset! There was plenty of parking and sharing the decks down by the lake was no problem.

From the moment we got there until the moment we left this house felt like home in such a beautiful location.

We had an amazing time at this great cabin! It is right on the water which is hard to find in McCall! The private beach was great! The house was clean and had everything that we needed. Rick was easy to communicate with about any questions we had.

The property was as advertised. Very clean, kitchen had everything needed for cooking at home. Plenty of parking for our cars and ATVs. The bedrooms had A/C which was a bonus since we were there during the heat wave. Rick responded quickly to our texts. Highly recommend this property!
