We loved the long strolls through the neighborhood and to downtown Grand Haven. The apartment is the perfect size for a couple and they have plenty of towels and bathroom products. I even saw a few curling irons. Nice touch. Very private location and a sweet doggo named Stevie is a pleasant touch. We will be back to stay!!

We loved staying at Kurt and Wendy’s place for coast guard week - we walked our kids to ymca camp each day and it was a perfect spot.
Apartment kitchen is well outfitted - good pots and knives and you know that’s not typical!
Really nice to have snacks and coffee all there when we arrived and cold wanter bottles in the fridge.
Bathroom even had hair curling iron and straighten tools in addition to hairdryer and shampoo etc

Cute apartment on the upper level in beautiful, historic home! Owners Kurt and Wendy were very friendly and accommodating- they lent us a bike, cooler, beach chairs……..anything we needed!!! We were there for the 4th of July and had the greatest view of the fireworks right from the apartment!!!

The apartment was fantastic as well as the hosts! Spacious, clean and well stocked for visitors. The outdoor garden was relaxing and a great place to unwind. The apartment was walking distance to everything we wanted to go to-great location! We hope to return!

What a great place to stay in GH. Close to everything. We walked all over town (over 10 miles in steps in one day just exploring the gorgeous neighborhoods, shops, lakefront, and more!!) Photos don’t do this home justice - truly a gorgeous home and gracious hosts. Quiet, clean, convenient to town. Perfect for our short stay but would be great for longer. Enjoyed relaxing in the secluded patio area - and loved the resident dog! This was our first time in GH and won’t be our last - and will certainly look to stay here again….or maybe move to GH and stay permanently! 😃

This beautiful old home has been remodeled perfectly while keep its old timey charm. It’s a perfect, cozy spot for a weekend away and very conveniently walking distance from downtown. The apartment is so beautiful, anyone will enjoy a stay here!

This place is one of those rare finds that is even better than the pictures. And, the pictures are great. The place is beautiful inside and so unique, with great artwork, a comfortable bed, and a big bathroom. My girlfriends and I came in for a girls’ weekend, walked downtown, shopped, and had a great couple of nights out. Would definitely stay here again and highly. recommend. Owners were very responsive and helpful with our questions.

I had a great stay!
The property was clean and neat. The exterior of the home could be on a post card and the back yard, while small is very cute. The outdoor patio is beautiful with nice furniture and a fantastic tiki bar area. Great hosts (recommended events to attend) and were attentive to any needs I experienced during my stay. It's in a safe neighborhood too. While I prefer a one story unit as I live in a one story residence, using stairs wasn't bad. Overall a wonderful experience.

Amazing location to Downtown Grand Haven!
We thoroughly appreciated the proximity to great spots downtown Grand Haven-extremely convenient for meeting our family and friends all week! Kurt and Wendy were kind hosts as well. The only bit of advice for possible improvements would be a new mattress or even a comfortable topper on the current mattress as it was quite stiff.

Nice apartment in great location.
Property was exactly as pictured/described. Very clean and in an absolutely gorgeous neighborhood. Walking distance to park, waterfront, restaurants etc…
Only a couple of minor cons but those wouldn’t keep us from staying there again.
The cons were that, while comfortable, the bed was quite squeaky. Rolling over was noisy and tended to wake us up. The other con was that there was a fairly significant rattling noise when the AC was running.
Neither of these were significant enough for us to complain. Just slightly annoying. Again - wouldn’t stop us from staying there again and didn’t keep us from giving 5 stars.
Really is a nice apartment in a beautiful home.

2nd Time We Stayed at Kurt and Wendy's
Myself and three friends stayed at Kurt and Wendy's beautiful property for a second time. It was, again, very cozy, clean, in a great location, beautiful gardens, and the hosts are very responsive to any questions. Beautiful!!!

Great Long Weekend Getaway
We stayed three nights, and there were three adults and one child. The apartment is actually bigger in person than the pictures, and we had plenty of space. It's well maintained and in a very convenient location, where you can walk 10-15 minutes to restaurants downtown or a 4 minute drive to the beach. It's on a quiet street with plenty of street parking out front. The courtyard is gorgeous - our daughter loved the koi fish fountain and petting the dogs. Property owners were very responsive before and during our stay. You do have to walk up and down stairs to get to the apartment, but that wasn't an issue for us.

Wonderful
This property was perfect for my husband and I for a long weekend get away. The apartment is beautiful and the outdoor area is so peaceful and relaxing. Its a great location to the beach and downtown area. We enjoyed biking and walking anywhere we needed to go! We definitely recommend it and will be back when we visit Grand Haven again.

Weekend away!!
My husband and I came to Grand Haven for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ferry Mansion! The apartment was beautiful and had everything we needed! Kurt and Wendy were the perfect hosts and even left us a great bottle of bubbly for our anniversary celebration! Coming and going was very easy and we felt right at home with a gorgeous fire and patio to enjoy as the nights cooled off! Thank you for a wonderful memory of our little getaway!

This apartment worked great for the 2 of us. Kurt and Wendy were very responsive to questions before and during our stay. Apartment was stocked with everything we needed. The outdoor space was incredible and perfect for entertaining our friends and family. The neighborhood was lovely as well.
