We had the best time-the house is perfect. The pool is fabulous. And, the location could not be better. Communication was terrific, every question answered. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Overall, an awesome week! Thanks so much!

Wonderful stay that included children 7 and 10. House - a mid century light filled one level - was truly fully equipped ( games for kids, every cooking utensil) and artfully decorated. Pool was a great plus and the best beaches are nearby - the owner was very responsive and helpful.

What a great house. In fact, after a week here it felt like my own home. My kids absolutely loved the pool, spending hours in there playing with the beach ball. Beautiful mahogany deck. Nice hiking right out the door. There are 3 bathrooms, which is very helpful when getting ready for dinner or returning from the beach. Which reminds me, Lucy Vincent Beach is stunning!

A large house, furnished like a home, kitchen had everything we needed, very private. And the pool is great!

Perfect location if you are looking to be on the quieter side of the island and having a pool to swim in is a real treat if the ocean water is a bit too cold. Owner is also very nice, lives on the island, and is attentive if you have any needs.

We had a wonderful short get away in Martha's vineyard and owe it all to this wonderful VRBO home. The house is SPOTLESS, the furnishings incredibly comfortable (so important given bad back issues), and the location perfect. Lots of great hiking trails a few steps from the home, which is in the midst of beautiful wooded areas. Beautiful beaches are a short driving distance away. And the VRBO owner is incredibly responsive and very helpful with tips on where to go. We look forward to being able to stay here again.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Harriet has been wonderful as a host, responding quickly to my questions leading up our arrival. On top of that, the house has beautiful furniture and finishes.. super charming and beachy.. just what you want out of a Martha's Vineyard stay. Not to mention it was SUPER CLEAN.

The house is spacious and very well-appointed. Perfect for a family vacation. The pool, even though only 4 feet deep, really made a big difference, especially for the grandkids. Nearby beaches were lovely. Chilmark is the best part of the Vineyard. Harriet was charming and available for any needs we might have which were minimal.

We all commented about how great Harriet’s home was for our family vacation. The house is well appointed for vacationers, the pool a blast with the kids, and the location perfect for exploring the island. Will definitely be back!

An airy getaway with plenty of distant ocean breezes to sooth the soul on a hot day. The pool, though not deep, was a delight, and the master bedroom and living room were especially spacious. A central perch for visiting anywhere on the island.

This was a wonderful property with pool, nice layout, and private seclusion; it was perfect for our family and friends. Upon arrival we met the owner who was lovely. We needed her help one time during our stay. She was prompt with her response and fixed the issue. The house was clean and well maintained. We used the kitchen for almost every meal and it was well equipped for a family to use. We would definitely go back!

I am a dance artist who stayed here during a residency at The Yard. The house is immaculate and the owner has beautiful taste in furnishings. The kitchen has everything you need. How wonderful to have a pool to plunge in after a day at the nearby beach! The property is quiet and far from the road, so nights are peaceful and you wake up to bird song and the wind rustling the trees. There are plenty of amenities nearby but you get peace and quiet here.

This property really impressed me! My group was looking for a spacious house with a pool and this property delivered. The overall house layout is great for entertaining with two separate wings for the bedrooms. The kitchen is a wonderful hangout area inside due to all the windows - it feels like you are still outside. The pool area and yard were fantastic, offering constant sunlight through the day and more than enough area to sun by the pool, play games, etc. The best part of it....you feel like you are doing it all on the island alone because the property is so secluded!. Also the property was very clean when we arrived.
Harriet, the owner, was so easy to deal with and did not bother us at all once on the island. She does live close by if there are any problems, but lets her guest enjoy their time alone. She was very easy on the details of the rental and provided a clear contract for rent. We felt compelled to invite her over because she was so gracious!

This house provided us the best retreat during the Vineyard's busy season with great access to Lucy Vincent Beach, Allie's Store, Menemsha and Aquinnah. This a the most beautiful part of the island and Harriet's house is in a quiet natural setting apart from the crowds. The layout of the house is great for families and shares with bedrooms spread around the perimeter of the house and a bright kitchen and comfortable living room in the center. The deck and pool are great bonuses on those days you just don't want to get in the car to head to the beach but still want to enjoy the summer weather.

My husband and I stayed here Sept 1-8, 2015. It was an incredibly relaxing and lovely stay. The house is secluded on a quite road but easily accessible at the same time. I loved going for a long walsk on the local nature trails nearby. We also are huge beach goers, so to be so close to Lucy Vincent was a plus. The house has a wonderful lay out with incredible light in the kitchen and porch area for meals. Also the living room has a great place for a daytime nap along the bay window. The kitchen was easy to use and quite clean. The master bedroom was spacious with tons of windows which made it wonderful for sleeping. Also it had good storage and its own bathroom. The pool is a lovely option for a quick dip in the morning or at night before bedtime beneath a huge starry sky. Chillmark is a magical place and its great because there are very few people around! I highly recommend this rental!

My fiancé and I stayed at this lovely home for a week. It was the perfect romantic getaway....secluded, comfortable, and well appointed. The private pool, where we could indulge ourselves whenever the mood struck, added to the ambience; and a beach pass to the famed Lucy Vincent Beach made our stay even more perfect.
Chilmark is a beautiful town with rolling green hills and farmland defined by stone walls, and of course, the ocean....very reminiscent of Ireland. It's natural beauty begs to be explored and Harriet, the owner, is more than willing to give amazing recommendations and point you in the right direction. She is the quintessential host!
We are planning to make this fabulous home our regular summer getaway.

This house is the perfect hybrid between elegant country retreat and relaxed beach house. Hidden in the trees of a private community off the beaten path, it is secluded and quiet. Still, we loved hearing the lull of the ocean from the deck and were close enough to area attractions we wanted to see. The house itself is modern, clean and very comfortable. I slept in the master bedroom and that king sized bed was so comfortable. I made relaxed casual meals all weekend long in the kitchen, and we were close enough to towns to experience some real new england lobsters in Menemsha at Larsens and scoop up tasty scones and coffee at 7A. Lots of great natural places to explore nearby. We found some private hiking trails and went out to explore Lucy Vincent and the Aquinna Bluffs. Harriet was a fabulous hostess, with many awesome recommendations and unbelievably warm hospitality. We are already plotting our return next visit. We just found our new home at the beach, and we couldn't be more pleased.

We spent a week with 6 adults and a toddler. The home is a quintessential "up island" spot with charm, grace and beauty. The home is very large and spacious with nearly solarium light in each room. It was easy to relax in its airy and tastefully decorated rooms.
The living room was large enough for all of us to enjoy conversation, and the kitchen also accommodated our group nicely.
There is a lovely laundry room that doubles as a good space to keep coolers for the beach. The bathrooms are all clean and updated and there is also a nice outdoor shower.
It was no issue obtaining a beach pass for Lucy Vincent for the week for approx $100 and it's worth it!
You are also so close to Menemsha and the Beach Plum Inn - such a good location. We also found that Edgartown is a straight shot with barely any traffic from this house and enjoyed a few nights there too.
Highly recommend this home for a large group and can attest that it is the nicest house we have ever rented on the island. (We have been renting each July for 20+ years)

What a great place to spend a week with the family. Everything you could want in a vacation home. We had a family of 6, the house was very spacious, clean, and trendy to boot. All linens and beach chairs were provided, washer and dryer, there was a private heated pool, grille, and everything you need. The home is close to two of the scenic and secluded beaches on the east coast (Lucy St Vincent and Aquinnah). We spent most of our nights dining in on the grille, but enjoyed a few evening meals at the nearby fish market. The Owner (Harriett) was extremely helpful in planning our vacation and during our stay. Thank you Harriett and we hope to get back soon.
