The cottage was exactly as pictured, clean and comfortable. Suitable for stays where you can prepare meals or dine out in restaurants in town. Located towards the end of a canyon neighborhood and near an open space preserve. Enjoy the serenity of nature. Close to many other hiking areas including Point Reyes. Judith is friendly and helpful.

Judith’s cottage is perfect for a couple or two friends. The bed is very soft and the kitchenette has everything you need! We appreciated the parking spot as we had a rental car. Judith was very responsive and helped us with an issue that came up while we were there—she was very gracious and accommodating. It was super charming and allowed us to feel like locals!

Judith’s cottage is perfect for a couple or two friends. The bed is very soft and the kitchenette has everything you need! We appreciated the parking spot as we had a rental car. Perfect Little Getaway Spot
My partner and I were hired to do some filming in San Anselmo and we decided to make a mini break out of it and found this little gem of a spot to stay at for 2 nights. It was absolutely perfect for us.
The cottage is tucked away behind the main house and feels incredibly private. The gardens are beautiful and it was such a treat to sit outside and not hear the sounds of a highway in the distance, all I could hear were the birds. The cottage itself was very clean and nicely stocked and so adorable.
The surrounding area is a cyclists dream and we rode to and around Lake Lagunitas and truly enjoyed what the area had to offer. Delicious food is plentiful in Fairfax but we fell in love with the tacos at Mas Masa.
We will return.

Loved the cozy guest cottage and outside veranda. Very quiet and comfortable, as well as clean. Kitchen provided a few necessary essentials. Judith was responsive to our needs. Very relaxing spot.

Very nice!
We came to Marin to attend a wedding and were delighted to find there was some great hiking within blocks of the cottage. It was nice, cozy, and quiet in our rental. We would recommend it.

Tiny cottage tucked away on a hillside
The cottage was close to the quaint town of Fairfax full of eclectic shops and restaurants, yet with the gas range and full size refrigerator we cooked most of our meals in the cabin. It was also convenient to Marin County attractions like Muir Woods and Pointe Reyes National Seashore, which we enjoyed immensely.

Cozy and accomodationg - beautiful area.
This getaway is superb. The light is gorgeous and it is very quiet and peaceful. The host, Judith, did everything humanly possible to make sure I was comfortable and I loved her ease and welcoming spirit. I had the place to myself but she stayed in touch throughout. This area doesn't have many places to stay so the intimacy of this cottage is the perfect respite, allowing you to enjoy the area like a local. Thank you, Judith for making my stay so special.

Cute Getaway
This spot was great for getting around the area, nicely situated close to town and other neighborhoods. The neighborhood was lively with activity and could be heard once in the cabin, but otherwise this space felt private and relaxing.

I had a wonderful time when staying in Fairfax, CA. This place had all that I needed for a great stay. There are lovely hiking paths very near by. The town of Fairfax is fantastic, with lots of places to eat and shop. There are many nearby attractions.

This cottage in Fairfax is a delightful and relaxing spot. It is close to many wonderful restaurants and hiking trails. If you want to relax after a busy day of sightseeing, this is the perfect place for two-- cozy & comfortable!

Relaxing Stay
My husband and I stayed in Fairfax for 3 days and we really enjoyed it. After a busy day in San Francisco, it was really nice to relax in this nice cottage. It had every thing we needed.

Good vibes with a great host!
Sweet, quiet cottage with everything you need. Just a stone's throw from Fairfax and maybe the best health food store and hot food bar ever! Judith is a fantastic, responsive host, posting clear instructions, local hikes, and other points of interest on the refrigerator door. My plane was delayed, so I arrived well after dark, but she was kind enough to leave the lights on and even brought me kiwis in the morning. Sweet little spot!

Very private and very convenient for us, had all the basics and was clean and comfortable, & reasonable cost. We had our own facilities and entrance as well as parking. We will stay there again and will recommend it . Description was accurate. We know the area well so appreciated the reasonable cost.

We loved our stay at Judith's guest apartment - a quaint and cozy spot tucked in her wonderful backyard, just up the hill from the center of Fairfax. Judith is a very gracious host, and made us feel very welcome and at home. Thanks for a great stay!

Just as described and pictures show, this is a charming and quiet little place to stay in Fairfax. Judith is very friendly and available to help with anything you need. It's the perfect size for one person, might be a little cramped for two. At the end of the street, there was a nice hiking trail along a creek bed to some waterfalls (although no water currently due to drought). The downside was that I could not get cell service to make or receive phone calls, or even receive voice mail messages, inside or outside the cottage. I have Verizon and usually it works even in the worst circumstances; so I was disappointed about this.
