Neu errichtete "Suite", die an ein bezauberndes Häuschen am Meer angeschlossen ist. Diese reizvolle Ergänzung umfasst ein großes Schlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett, Kathedralendecke und Tannenboden. Wenn Sie den kleinen, mit Kiefernholz getäfelten Flur hinuntergehen, finden Sie ein brandneues Badezimmer mit übergroßer Dusche und wunderschöner Kiefernholzverkleidung. Es gibt eine Speisekammer mit einem kleinen Kühlschrank, einer Mikrowelle, einem Toaster und einer Keurig-Kaffeemaschine. Von außen betreten Sie die Suite durch eine Atriumtür von einem 8 'x 16' Zederdeck aus, das auf den spektakulären Blick blickt, den der Mussel Ridge Channel, der Pleasant Beach und zahlreiche Inseln bieten. Dieser Ort ist optisch atemberaubend. Setzen Sie sich auf das Deck und beobachten Sie die Hummerboote, bunten Bojen und Vögel. Für diejenigen, die Kajak fahren möchten, können Sie Ihr Kajak von unserem Vorgarten aus starten, der an Pleasant Beach in einer geschützten Bucht von Penobscot Bay anliegt. Wandern und Klettern entlang der Küste sind beliebte Freizeitbeschäftigungen für diejenigen, die diese Gegend besuchen. Wir befinden uns in der Nähe der Mündung des Flusses Weskeag, der bei Kajakfahrern und Fischern gleichermaßen beliebt ist. Diese Unterkunft ist günstig gelegen, nur 30 Autominuten von Rockland, Rockport, Camden und Port Clyde entfernt. Zu den nahe gelegenen Attraktionen zählen das Farnsworth Art Museum, das Owls Head Transportation Museum, mehrere Leuchttürme und eine Vielzahl von Geschäften, Restaurants und Kunstgalerien. We arrived late and Marc was wonderful to offer dinner suggestions for us in town that night. Marc and his wife Sue were friendly and very helpful with the questions we asked. Even though we were on the same property as them, we saw them as little or as much as we wanted. It was nice to have our privacy as well. We were busy when we were there and wished we could have had more time to visit with this sweet couple. There was an over supply of coffee and creamer, paper towels, toilet tissue, clean towels and trash bags. We stopped at the grocery store nearby to pick up simple breakfast foods and snacks for the day. I would definitely return here if we go back to Maine

The host was there to greet us at check-in and do a brief but thorough walk-through of the space. You absolutely cannot beat the hosts service and attention to detail. My wife and I looked forward to the warm shower at the end of a full day, and the sun rise overlooking the ocean when we woke up. We would stay here 10/10 times. Zero complaints and great recommendations from the host along the way.

This cottage is a great location as a center hub to branch out daily to see all directions of mid coast Maine. It’s also a great location to return to after a long day of excursions and exploring, to a deck with a beautiful view. Or to hunker down and read while you wait out a rainy morning. And the sunrises are amazing too! The host is friendly and helpful, the room and amenities are just enough for a couple. We really appreciated having this cottage as our “home” this week.

The room was clean and nicely provisioned; the neighborhood beautiful and very quiet. It was peaceful and felt secluded, though within 20 minutes of nearly every attraction in the area. The hosts were great - friendly and responsive. We were delayed on our travels and arrived very late, but Marc was understanding and left the lights on for us, and we checked in with him the next day. I would definitely stay here again!

The tranquil coastal location is the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. The suite has everything needed for a comfortable stay plus an amazing view. Plenty of sightseeing and outdoor activities in the area or just chill by the water in the adirondack chairs. We enjoyed chatting with our wonderful hosts about the area's history and Marc's restaurant reservations were great.

What a great place to stay! It is tranquil and quiet yet close to many great places to see, to eat, and to explore. Perfect for those who love to hike, watch birds, or sit and relax with a book. Marc was a wonderful host, full of great ideas on where to go and what to see. Thank you!!

We totally recommend this quiet, safe, homey guest room with an absolutely breathtaking view. Our hosts thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, right down to the homemade quilt on the bed! Marc was very helpful in suggesting wonderful restaurants and stops within the area to make our trip memorable. Our only complaint was the rain that dampened our ability to sit out on the Adirondack chairs and soak up more of the beautiful view of this relaxing location.

What a gem! Tucked away but right on the coast, and within easy driving distance of Thomaston, Rockland and Camden, the location is perfect. We only had 5 days and needed more. So much to do and see nearby but we really would have been fine to sit on the lawn and stare out at the ocean! Our hosts could not have been more accommodating. The suite was just perfect for the two of us. We loved the vaulted ceiling and one wall of windows looks right out onto the ocean. Marc and Susan provided everything we needed and we immediately felt at home. They were very helpful with recommendations and directions and we really enjoyed learning more about the area from them. The perfect trip! I hope we will be back soon!

We truly enjoyed every minute at this peaceful seaside cottage. Our gracious hosts provided a warm welcome and insight about the area throughout our stay. The cottage is relatively new, immaculately kept and clean. The location is quiet, serene and very convenient as a central location to so much in the Penobscot Bay area and beyond. The view of the bay and mussel island ridge was stunning with beautiful sunrises and our great fortune to see an incredible rainbow. We loved our stay at this little gem.

The Lobster Shack in Rockland had the best Lobster rolls by far and the Kaeg was the best breakfast spot.

Beautiful location, right on the coast, with a beautiful view of the nearby islands.
Located near the end of a dead-end road, there was little or no traffic to spoil the peacefulness.
The owner was very helpful and escorted us through the property and described anything that we might need to know.
All in all, three perfect days.

We could not have been happier with this beautiful cottage suite and location. We are so grateful to Marc and Susan for making their room available--it's almost brand new and has everything you'd need. It was the perfect wedding anniversary stay: super special views, total peace and quiet away from delightful but loud kids, natural beauty at its finest, and fine dining and outdoor activities close at hand. We enjoyed a special dinner out, coffee and gift shops in Thomaston, schooner ride in Camden, Sunday Mass in Rockland, a hike up Mt. Battie in Camden, and walks around the neighborhood. Frankly, the place is so beautiful, it would be worth coming up again just to stay put, sit by the water and treasure every peaceful moment. We did not bring the kayak, but wish we did and highly recommend it for others. You can launch just across from the cottage down a right-of-way. Thank you Marc and Susan, we hope we can come again!

The beauty of this property and location is hard to describe. Waking up in a very comfortable bed in a lovely cathedral ceiling room overlooking the Muscle Shoals Islands and chanell is a great feeling! We enjoyed sipping coffee on the adirondak chairs watching lobster boats and sail boats and shore birds and a seal (recomend bringing binoculars). It is very peaceful and filled with so much natural beauty yet close to Port Clyde, Tenants Harbor, Sprucehead Island and Rockland.
There is a boat launch across from the cottage and and nice beach where you can launch your kayaks easily from 2hrs either side of low tide. (I even launched at low tide by walking over the rock grass and rocks). This would be a great stop for a "hot shower' when doing the Maine Island Trail in this area or to do day paddles to the Muscle Shoals Islands, Sprucehead and Seal Harbor, Clark Island and Tenants Harbor and Owls Head.
Marc and Susan were very pleasant and helpful. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful time here and it had such a beautiful view. We kayaked in the bay and ate at Mcloon's. Everything was so clean and comfortable and Marc and Susan were very accommodating. The description of their cottage was spot on and I would most definitely would stay here again and recommend to anyone if you are looking for a relaxing get away.

Beautiful & cozy. Perfect location, easy access and pretty quiet area. We spent our mornings sitting on lawn chairs drinking coffee staring out at Lobsterman with boat, waves crashing into rocks and listening to seagulls. We left bit of our hearts here. Definitely will visit again! The Owner was super friendly and helpful.

The unit was immaculate and Marc was very thorough in demonstrating how everything worked at check-in. The place is surrounded by beauty and quiet. Everything worked fine + bed was comfortable. Sitting on the little deck with coffee and watching the early morning sun was a great way to start the day. Our thanks!

From the moment we pulled into Marc and Susan's property, we knew we were in for a treat. The view is spectacular - from almost every angle (your private deck, the waterfront lawn, etc.) you have an amazing view of the granite shoreline, ocean, and islands. Marc and Susan were incredibly welcoming and shared great recommendations. Even with rainy, foggy weather, we were able to enjoy some local hikes and delicious outdoor meals at McLoons and the Causeway. We also spent plenty of time relaxing with coffee and a good book. We look forward to returning sometime soon!

What an idyllic spot for anyone who never gets tired of fantastic water views with a constant parade of sailboats and lobster boats with pine covered islands backing them. The attached studio is compact , but very functional and very clean.Marc and Susan are great hosts...going way beyond the norm to welcome us...even helping with our luggage and lending us a spare propane tank to save our cookout. Couldn't have asked for a better week...especially in these unprecedented times of Covid-19.We wouldn't hesitate to return to this beautiful property again. We highly recommend it!
