This house was fantastic for what we wanted. It had the pool, hot tub, 4 good sized rooms and a nice view. Very close to beach access. It was very clean. The only "complaint" which isn't one really- the furniture was quite outdated (This end up...). The location was perfect too as we could walk to a number of restaurants, bars, shops, etc.

Overall we had a nice stay at Lisa’s place. The house is in a great location—only a short, easy walk to public beach access—and has great amenities, including a pool and hot tub. During our stay there were a few minor issues related to the cleanliness of the property—the oven was not thoroughly cleaned, the pool area had not been attended to and there were dead leaves and other debris within the fenced area, and there were ants present in the kitchen area. When we made Lisa aware of these issues she responded quickly, offered to send a crew to rectify the problems, and ultimately sent a crew to remedy the ant problem. However it was unfortunate that we encountered these problems at all given the expense of renting the house, and while we appreciated Lisa’s responsiveness, she did not apologize for the cleanliness issues or inconvenience. We did appreciate the quick communication and willingness to resolve the issues. We loved the area and would stay in this location again .

Really enjoyed this house especially the outdoor bar area with the hot tub. Owner was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

This house was PERFECT for our relaxing getaway. The partial ocean views from the upper deck were wonderful. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed and more! It’s just a short walk to the beach access, and we loved spending the days between the beach, private pool, and hot tub! It’s super close to shops, restaurants, and activities! Our hosts were helpful and very responsive. Had a great time!

The Roasted Duck was perfect for our family vacation. The house was very clean and all of the extras you could want. The pool was wonderful and very appreciated during the hot afternoons. The location was great, just a short walk to the beach. We would certainly recommend staying here to all of our family and friends.

We had a group of twelve staying for the week, including kids from 1 to 10 years. The location was really convenient—easy 5 minute walk to the beach, 15 minute walk to the Duck boardwalk, and easy drive to lots of restaurants and local fun. The home fit us all comfortably, and had many fun amenities for us (basketball, cornhole, etc). We loved our week at the Roasted Duck!

We had 12 people for a friend get-together weekend. The house was perfect for our needs: pool, hot tub, yard games, grills, and an awesome outdoor bar area kept us all entertained. Very easy access to the beach, and walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Communication with the owner was seamless and their response time with any questions we had was lightning fast. The check-in process was easy and the house was in beautiful condition. We had zero complaints, and would absolutely stay here again!

We really enjoyed the location and being able to walk to the beach and the town of Duck. It was really nice to relax on the decks in comfortable chairs and hear the sound of the ocean while looking at the stars. It was also nice to have hand towels and soap in the bathrooms ready for us when we arrived. We did not use the bedding and bath towels the homeowner provided, but it was nice to know they were available if we did need them. Our only negative is the kitchen had ants and we smashed several other bugs inside the house. We contacted the homeowner and they responded quickly stating they would have their pest people take care of the issue as soon as possible.

Fantastic property with everything you could possibly need. A short walk 0.5 miles to restaurants and shops and a super quick walk to the beach which is dead ahead of the home with a great view from the house. Highly recommend this property.

Loved the house. Plenty off room for all. Loved the pool, jacuzzi and outdoor bar area . Excellent location, walking distance to the beach and town of Duck. We had a great time. Excellent communication with Property Owner before and throughout our stay.

We stayed here with two families of four with children ranging from 3-10. The location was great, close to the beach and easy to walk or ride bikes. The pool was lovely, the bar underneath was very nice and the trex decks with no splinters made it very comfortable to sit out and watch the stars at night. Overall it’s a great place.

Great Location
Roasted Duck was a great stay. The host was easy to communicate
with and accommodating. The house had plenty of different spaces for resters, as well as plenty of fun areas downstairs. The covered jacuzzi and outside bar with TV area saved the day on cruddy beach weather days. This may be a small thing, but the water pressure was great in the showers and the beds got no complaints from all who stayed!

Great location, walkable to town and beach.
House could use some deep cleaning and deferred maintenance. Screens missing from screened porch and cobwebs throughout the house. Also we did not really have enough bath towels and hand towels for the 6 of us.

Perfect golf trip!
The property itself was exactly as described and had all the amenities we were looking for. The ground floor bar/hot tub/TV area was a great hang out spot. House was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized as promised before check-in. Beach is a short walk away. Plenty of golf courses and shops or restaurants nearby as well. Property owners were great to communicate with and were super accommodating. Overall perfect stay!

A Wonderful Vacation to the OBX!
This was a perfect house for our first trip to the outer banks. It made our vacation very relaxing and we had everything we needed while on vacation with our family. We were able to have a fun day in the beautiful pool, followed by a day at the beach, which was in walking distance. We could see the ocean from the dining room table and we enjoyed hearing the waves while relaxing on any of the several outside decks . We had 9 guests and never felt crowded and there was always plenty of furniture to relax on, inside and outside. We would recommend this house to anyone, it was a great location in Duck. We really enjoyed our stay at the Roasted Duck! The property was exactly as described and pictured. There was plenty of space for two families and you cannot heat the location! We were able to walk to the beach and to town, even with young children in tow. Communication with the owners was great. We highly recommend!

Fantastic Getaway with Friends!
Thank you for an amazing stay!! Our group of 12 had the most amazing week-long getaway at the Roasted Duck! The check-in process was so easy and the house had just finished being cleaned when we got there so everything was sparkling and felt very sanitary & safe.
The entertainment spaces absolutely MADE this house and allowed our group to still have so much fun on the rainy days. The covered Tiki bar area with grill, games, and hot tub provided a perfect space for hanging out and eating dinners together. The backyard was adorable and the private pool was awesome.
Walk two minutes one way and you’re on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach, or 5-10 minutes the opposite way and you’re in the heart of Duck with so many cute restaurants and ice cream shops! The location cannot be beat!
Everything we could have needed was provided by the lovely host Lisa and she was quick to respond to any questions and restaurant recommendation requests we had. We only have nice things to say about the Roasted Duck and hope we will be able to stay again in the future!

Wonderful Beach Getaway for Family
The property is a short walk from the beach. Nice view of the ocean. The layout of the house was nice and allowed people to rest while others had fun. Loved the outdoor space with bar, tv, hot tub, and places to wash off the sand. About a 10 minute walk to town, restaurants, and boardwalk. Great place for family and friend get togethers.
