My husband and I were looking for a relaxing, convenient get-away and this was exactly it. The home is very private, clean, and well-kept with a beachy feel and is a 10 minute drive from town. We don’t like the busy and tourist spots so being able to be in a private community was great. It is also a 3 minute drive to a local beach and a 5 minute drive to a trail on the east end of the island with incredible views. There is a lot to do if that is your thing or you can take it easy, relax, and enjoy the scenery. We can’t wait to go back!

We truly enjoyed our stay at The Reef in St. Croix! Jennifer is one of the most accommodating Hosts we have ever experienced :) Every little thing you could think of was provided as the Villa was well stocked with all necessities. The view from the front balcony is absolutely incredible! DEFINITELY book this fantastic Villa without hesitation... you will be happy, comfortable, and amazed with the location. Point Udall is incredible for Sunsets and Blue Water Terrace has the yummiest food!

We had a great time in our condo!! My hubby, 3 teenage kids, and myself, stayed there for 10 days and we’re very comfortable. Our favorite part was the view from the patio. It was breathtaking!!! We ate outside almost every day just so we can enjoy the view. The community was peaceful and quiet. Kids loved the pool as it was practically empty each time they went. Jen the owner was awesome! She checked in on us often and offered many suggestions as to things to do and places to eat around St. Croix. We did have minor issues in the Condo but Jen took care of it immediately by sending Charles her contractor to fix it (which by the way he was very sweet and pleasant). The home needed some updating and it wasn’t as new as the pictures showed but overall the home was nice, clean and in good shape. We had everything we needed. Condo was fully stocked, from kitchen, to bathroom to just regular household supplies. We had plenty of towels to use, beach chairs and even coolers in case we needed them for the beach. The one thing I would recommend to the owner is to replace the window shutters from wood to glass windows so that when the windows are closed, sunlight will still come in instead of being so dark inside and so the beautiful view won’t be obstructed. Overall we loved it and we were very happy there! It was a cute and cozy place to stay. My family and I would definitely stay there again if we ever visit St. Croix. This was my third time staying at this condo. I visit St. Croix every year. When I arrived, I found the condo to be neat and tidy and ready for me to move in. Fresh flowers decorated the unit, and, the view!!! Oh, how I never tire of that view. It's picture perfect, every day. The owner has made the repairs and upgrades in response to the reviews below mine. I didn't experience any of the issues they noted (nor have I ever). I did not see the need to use the a/c, as the cross breeze is more than enough and I prefer the open window, open air style that is common in Caribbean homes and villas. The new fridge kept my food crisp and my beer cold. The bed was made with fresh linens and plenty of bath and beach towels were supplied for my use all week. The Reef Beach had seagrass this season, so I didn't get to swim and snorkel there this year, but it was a blessing in disguise as it gave me a chance to explore some other nearby beaches which were not affected by this unfortunate phenomenon. I finally made it to Shoy's beach (highly recommended!!!) and to Cramer's beach. Both are a quick and easy drive from the villa. It's nice to see the island recovering from hurricane Maria. Duggan's restaurant opened the week I was there!!! Everyone on the island knows about Duggan's and their grand reopening was literally the talk of the town, even as far as Frederiksted. I highly recommend the lobster, of course (their specialty), and the steaks are really good too. It's so nice to have that restaurant right down the path. Next year I'll try Sunday brunch for sure :-) All in all, this is a really great place to stay and Jennifer has always been available to answer any of my questions and to address any of my concerns. I find her to be a friendly and gracious hostess. I will definitely come back again and again and am already dreaming about my trip next year.

I used that caption because our original date was Dec 17-23rd, 2017. Due to Hurricane Maria, we were contacted in Nov to change our dates because the island didn't have electricity. At the time of booking, I needed to buy Trip Insurance because THIS OWNER WILL NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND DUE TO A NATURAL DISASTER! We changed our dates to June 9-16th, 2018. I now understand why the owner would not give a refund. The condo is old, filthy and NOT AS ADVERTISED! A/C throughout – LIE ! It never got below 80 degrees in that condo all week. Kitchen was filthy. I used Clorox Wipes on the kitchen counter top and my hand was dirty. The stove was electric and had burners that were pushed up and did not work. I refused to cook there using their utensils or anything since the counter top was filthy. Every time we opened the cabinets or doors, they were moist and sticky. When we went to the grocery store, I bought plastic spoons, forks, paper plates and trash bags to empty my own trash. Washer and dryer located outside in wooden cabinets. They're very old. I bring a Tide Washing Machine Cleaner to any condo that advertises a washing machine that I plan to use. We had difficulty emptying the washer because the clothes on the bottom couldn't be reached. I had to use a large spoon to scoop out socks and underwear. The dryer’s lint vent had so much lint, I could've made a sweater. We didn't have a landline or TV until Monday night. The remote to change the channels didn't have batteries. I found batteries that were extras for the A/C remote upstairs and put them in the remote. We had a total of 10 channels to view. We moved the table top fan in front of us so that we wouldn't be sweating while watching TV. We like to see the local news/weather. What about an emergency w/no phone? Spotty cell service. This condo looks like the owner bought it and just uses it as a personal vacation spot a few times a year and rents it out the remaining time. Looking at the appearance of the condo and its contents, NOT ONE PENNY has been spent to upgrade it. Burned out bulbs in both vanity areas. Duct tape holding things together. Condo doesn't look very loved. Texted owner for location of additional toilet paper. The Reef is VERY isolated. If your looking for a step above camping, enjoy isolation, and you like the heat, then this condo is it! The Reef Beach across the street is covered in African Seaweed and the adjacent restaurant, Dugans, is being rebuilt. Food Desert! Good Luck!

Had a fantastic 6 night stay at this property. The location and view both were excellent. Had everything we needed including a cooler, beach chairs, kitchen utensils, etc. We would love to stay here again!

My husband and I recently stayed at this property for 5 days. It was everything we expected and more. The view and the breeze on the patio every morning was breathtaking, the King size bed is 5 star hotel comfy and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The owner was available by text to answer any questions. We felt like her personal house guests rather than vacation renters. Some bonuses were: washer and dryer, clothesline to hang laundry, cooler bags, insect repellant, maps and info, first aid items, beach towels, beach chairs, coffee pot.- too many to remember! Nearby is Duggan's with incredible food (crab cakes were over the top) and an excellent, friendly bartender(Rick). TLC kitchen is on the property and has the BEST breakfast and lunch around! Sunrise at Pt Udall is just a few minutes from condo. We talk about our trip daily and can't wait to return and stay at this condo! It is on the quiet East End, but the island is so small and easy to navigate that going to Christiansted, Fredericksted and exploring beaches was a quick drive. The Reef beach was a beautiful beach to relax and have a cocktail from Duggans in the afternoon.

Lovely, comfortable condo with all the amenities. Nice large porch with views of the well maintained grounds, golf course, rolling hills and ocean. Super comfy bed and the large a/c unit cooled the entire place in literally minutes. The location was amazing. Just a short drive to Christiansted, don't miss 40 Strand restaurant! The condo was an awesome 4 mile walk with some stunning vistas up to Pt Udall. Several great hiking trails close by, check out the one to Isaac Bay, our favorite! The owner, Jennifer was quick to text and answer any questions, and was very welcoming. Would recommend and stay again! Thank you!!

This is the second time I have stayed here, and the property is absolutely stunning. Beautifully landscaped, and always blooming. All colors of bougainvillea, and different types of cactus(which were blooming as well). Gently rolling grounds afford you sweeping views of the hills above and ocean below. There is a large terrace off the back of the condo where you may while away your morning tea/coffee, and enjoy the sunset over the ocean after having grilled up your dinner- There is a grill on the front patio- so convenient! It is full of light from very large windows which also provide a lovely ocean breeze, and there are fans for hotter days /nights. There is a modern A/C unit, but I never needed it. Fully furnished in cheerful Caribbean colors with a full kitchen, comfortable bed, and pull out sofa bed if need be. Jennifer, the owner, is laid back and fun, with the added bonus of having been a part time resident for many years. She knows all the good spots on the island, and makes great suggestions! You have access to the pool-which was quite private- and it's a short drive to bars, supermarkets/stores. Lastly, you are right across the street from Duggan's- premium seafood/meat/apps, casual dress and right next to the ocean. I could go on, but I won't- book here and see for yourself - you will love it and want to return as I have. Cheers!

Beautiful resort grounds with sweeping views of the ocean and buck island. Short distance from Christiansted. Fully stocked condo with almost everything you would need. Only item to mention is the drastic fluctuations of water temp when showering. Overall, we would rent again, and recommend to friends and family.

Loved the place! Loft bedroom/master bath,Wifi, too much to list.Everything you could possibly need! not knowing the island, we got so lucky with the best location possible for our 1st trip! Secluded beach within walking distance ( if you can handle hills). This subdivision has beautiful grounds including a golf course. We had "pet Deer", 3 of them, greeting us every night as we came home! I love that this place is private, quiet, and well kept. There is soooo much on this island that is not, so we learned as we came! Had my morning coffee on the balcony with my other pet geckos that just sat and watched me , keeping me entertained. Lovely place! I will be back!!!

If you are looking for tranquility and a view that will take your breath away every day, this is the place.The condo is welcoming and the bed is so comfy you won't want to get out of it. The pool is gorgeous and so are the grounds. The best lobster I ever had is only a short walk from the condo right on the ocean on the beach. I have already booked my next stay and I assure you it won't be my last. Highly recommended this beautiful home for your St.Croix stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tropical Escape over the Thanksgiving holiday and everything about our trip was perfect. We were happy to see a full kitchen, so decided to cook our own little Thanksgiving dinner. We popped the bird in the oven and went to the beach while the turkey cooked. The view from the patio is absolutely gorgeous. We liked that there is a security gate and felt very safe our entire stay. The condo was super clean! We are planning to go back in 2016, hopefully for another fun Thanksgiving and will definitely stay here again.

Couldn't have asked for a cleaner or more comfortable place to stay. Beautiful views, great pool, and just a short walk to the beach! My kids loved it! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

I have traveled to Costa Rica, South America, Asia, and Europe. My typical trips are about relaxing and becoming more energized by the time I return home. The Reef in St. Crouch and its surroundings gave me all of that and much more. I woke each morning after a cool, peaceful night and walked the grounds of the reef up to Villa Madeline before breakfast. Got a healthy start to my day and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the villa with Buck Island and the Caribbean staring at me. I used the kitchen each day to make lunch to take out into the island for paddle boarding. For me it was more like knee boarding but I got a better workout than my partner who was doing tai chi on her board (we both had a great connection with the ocean). At nights, before making dinner, the pool atop the reef was perfect for swimming, cleaning up and watching the stars. Easy walk from the villa and all to yourself most of the time. I slept better than I ever have, the bed was amazing. Cool breezes and natural wake at 6:00 each day ready to enjoy the island. Don't forget the hammocks on the beach across from the reef if you want to stay local. So many secluded beach areas to swim, paddle board, or relax and read. If you like to get off the beaten path, hit the beach bars on the north side of the jungle on the shore or head into the jungle by car to hang at "Norma's" where the cocktails, patrons, and beer drinking boars will treat you to a fun afternoon. This Villa, The Reef and St. Croix are a surprise for anyone looking for that life-shifting clarity, peace, and relaxation you struggle to have everyday at home. It's a priceless decision and you'll be scheduling a return trip before you leave.
