Das Goose Cove Cottage in Trenton liegt nur wenige Minuten vom Acadia-Nationalpark entfernt. Wir sind 75 Meter vom Wasser entfernt und haben einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Western Bay und die Acadia Mountains. Unser Cottage ist mit allen Annehmlichkeiten ausgestattet, um Ihren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten.
Das Erdgeschoss verfügt über zwei Hauptschlafzimmer mit begehbaren Kleiderschränken, privaten Vollbädern, Queensize-Betten und Schiebereglern, die sich zum Wrap-around-Deck öffnen. Wir haben ein kleines Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett gegenüber dem Hauptbadezimmer. Es gibt ein großes Foyer, einen offenen Grundriss mit Küche, Esszimmer und Wohnzimmer. Wunderschöne Kathedralendecken, Holzböden und Granitkamin.
Das Loft ist mit zwei Einzelbetten ausgestattet und bietet einen gemütlichen, ruhigen Raum zum Lesen oder Entspannen mit Blick auf das Wohnzimmer und die Bucht. (Dies kann mit Vorankündigung in ein Kingsize-Bett umgewandelt werden)

This property was perfect for our party of 3 couples. It is very private and the water view is beautiful. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything needed for our week. The location provides easy access to Acadia, Bar Harbor and other quaint small towns. I highly recommend this property

We stayed here for our family vacation. It was extremely clean, spacious and the views were amazing! We rented kayaks and had them delivered as suggested by the property owners. Our college aged kids enjoyed kayaking in the cove at high tide. The house has well equipped kitchen, gas grill and fire pit. The location is very private and about 20 minutes from Acadia National Park entrance and the village of Bar Harbor. We enjoyed coming home to our rental house each night to enjoy the peacefulness after our daily excursions.

We really enjoyed the property. The setting was so tranquil and inviting. We enjoyed watching the clam fishermen dig for clams in the lake behind the cabin when the tide was out.. A first for these Louisiana folks!
It was close enough to all of the Bar Harbor activities we wanted to do yet far enough out to be private and relaxing.
The hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had before and during our stay.
I would highly recommend this property if you are considering a trip to the Bar Harbor area!!

Our party of 5 stayed at Goose Cove Cottage for 5 nights in late July/early August to celebrate our special birthdays.The property is in an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful waterfront location near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park — close enough for daily outings but far from the bustling crowds. The cottage is very spacious and clean, certainly the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in. Our group of 2 couples and 1 single person was very comfortable, whether hanging out on the spacious deck overlooking the cove or inside the open plan living area during a rainstorm. We enjoyed using the firepit on a clear evening, just sitting there taking in the gorgeous views as night drew in. The kitchen is well stocked, but we didn’t prepare any dinners there, preferring to dine out at a local lobster pound (the excellent Gateway Lunt’s Lobster Pound, less than a mile away) and in Bar Harbor’s many restaurants. Sugar Bakery is also a short distance from the cottage and is also excellent — they supply to several Bar Harbor establishments. We loved our time at Goose Cove Cottage and would certainly return in future if we plan another Bar Harbor vacation. Highly recommended.

We had a great time in Maine and the place you have is amazing. We had plenty of room, we enjoyed looking at the stars while we were roasting marshmallows on the fireplace outside. Everything was wonderful!! Thank you so much!!

Very quiet location about 20 minutes outside of Bar Harbor, ME. It’s located on the water with beautiful views but water isn’t accessible due to the type of shoreline and tides. You could possibly have a kayak but it would be challenging. It’s a nice quiet location to get away from the crowds in Bar Harbor but you have to have a car to do anything. It’s about a 15 minute ride to the Acadia National Park entrance. There is nothing physical/athletic to do so all hiking, boating, etc. has to be done in park or Bar Harbor. Would recommend bringing bikes and would only recommend house for adults.

We really enjoyed our time here! It was a beautiful cottage and so centrally located for all of our activities. We enjoyed lots of time in Bar Harbor, Acadia, at the antiques shops towards Bangor and up in Moosehead Lake. It was so nice to be able to spread out, each with our own room, at a cozy home each night. The hosts were very friendly and respectful. Highly recommend!!

I recently stayed at a beautiful Vrbo property with a stunning water view, and it was an absolute delight! The house was impeccably clean, making me feel instantly at ease. Every corner was thoughtfully designed, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. This is the most equiped and organized vrbo I've ever stayed out. Great location to Arcadia, Bar Harbor, and even a road trip for FANTASITIC rafting on Penobscot River. Great communication with mgr who was available to answer questions and provide suggestions. We arranged for kayaks to be delivered to the property. We had a great time on the water; super calm for kayaking. Only challenge was the timing of tides - a new experience for us. With upwards of a 10' tide difference, you have to launch near high tide to avoid the mud flats. Luckily we were busy during the day because the house was very warm during the day due to the heat wave; cooled off when sun went down. Great place!

This cottage was just what we needed to truly feel like our family of 4 adults was in Maine on vacation for the first time. Lots of elbow room for when everyone needs their own space after a long tourist day. The college age kids enjoyed that they each had their own room with a queen bed. The house is well appointed and very clean. Now on to what sold us to book the place (besides the queen beds in 3 rooms and size of the home). Multiple rooms and the very large patio has an amazing water view that was definitely enjoyed rain or shine. Nice responsive owner as well.

Wow! What a pristine home that looks out over a beautiful bay! Great location for kayaking and sitting on large porch and eating or enjoying the views. Plenty of space. Everything you need is in the home. Owners were fabulous in making sure we got our supplies and what stores there were from the airport.

This home itself was a vacation! Secluded and quiet but only a short drive to Ellsworth (for groceries) and Bar Harbor and Acadia NP for Fun & Food! The view is Stupendous from inside and outside, and the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and living area were exactly as described and more than adequate for our family of four. We look forward to a return visit!

My husband and I and 2 of our adult children had a lovely stay at this spacious, well equipped home. The proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park provided us with much to do even on rainy days. Foliage and hiking were great! Wanda was very accessible. Definitely recommend staying here!

We needed a home where we could have a base camp, relax and cook for a host of food allergies and preferences. We got it all in a beautiful bay side location that was secluded yet convenient to everything. We biked and hiked in Acadia, shopped and dined in Bar Harbor and found all the essentials we needed in Elsworth, all 5 minutes from Hancock Airport. Wanda keeps her home spotless and stocked with all you could possibly need. Mornings from the deck and evenings from the outdoor fireplace were magical.

My sister, myself, and our husbands stayed for a week at this beautiful home. The view is amazing, and the property is very private and peaceful. The home itself was very comfortable and clean, with an extremely well stocked kitchen. Large deck with comfortable seating. I would highly recommend this home.

We were impressed with the gorgeous view from the bedrooms, family rooms, 2 decks, and fire pit. It’s a beautiful and peaceful setting tucked in the woods just steps from the water. It’s close to anything you want to do in Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Schoodic Penninsula, Ellsworth, etc. It’s also very close to Sugar Bakery (excellent!) and many local lobster pounds. It’s notably the cleanest house we’ve ever stayed - the beds were very comfortable, too! Wanda takes great care and pride in providing an immaculate place (inside and outside) and enjoyable experience for those who stay, and we very much appreciated that during our visit. Communication with her was easy and helpful from reserving the house to checking out. We enjoyed renting a kayak from her local recommendation (we spotted a seal!) and staying around the house appreciating the spectacular view and wildlife sightings (groundhog, turkeys, seagulls, etc). Every day the view looked different depending on the weather, and each view was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

We loved our stay here, it is the most beautiful location and minutes from everything you'll want to see. The house is spacious and peaceful, and the grounds are breathtaking. The property was impeccably clean and well set up. There were a lot of rules to follow while we were staying, but I think this means that people take care of the property well. We barbecued on the deck and had a wonderful time exploring Mount Desert Island.

This place in my opinion is outstanding. The views from the large deck were beautiful. The house is spacious and it is the best stocked vacation rental I have ever stayed in. The ocean breezes in the afternoon were a welcome treat after spending a long day of hiking/biking . The owners responded quickly and were very accommodating. My one year old granddaughter had a ball. I would highly recommend staying here!

Well maintained home, very clean with fantastic views. The home is spacious for a larger family and has everything you would need. Just a short drive to Acadia, Ellsworth, and all the harbors. Loved the fire pit in the backyard. We slept with the windows open (screens are in) and loved waking up to the cool breezes off the water. Highly recommend! Thank you and can’t wait to visit your place again soon! One week was too short a visit!

Perfect Maine Getaway
By far the best VRBO experience for our family to date. The house was immaculate with amazing views daily. Nice yard for the kids to run around. During low tide we could go out and walk along the rocky beach and let the kids collect shells, etc. The outdoor deck was great to just sit and relax and we certainly utilized the outdoor fire place for s'mores. Definitely bring bug repellent because mosquitos were bad at night. Most importantly I can't say enough about Wanda and her communication. From the time we scheduled to the day we left, she was a text away. She was on top of everything. Recs for parking in Bar Harbor; check, recs for food; check. I'm big on communication and without a shadow of a doubt Wanda is the best. So thank you for an amazing Maine getaway!

Comfortable, kid friendly, clean cottage
As soon as we walked into the house we were wowed by how gorgeous the house was- and that view from the deck and all the windows! We loved being able to watch all the wildlife roam around the backyard and the fog roll in over the water. You can tell Bill and Wanda take great pride in their home by how neat and vibrant everything is. Bill was very helpful and answered any questions we had regarding the house. If you’re coming with a young one, there is a crib located off of one bedroom (and not a lot of noise is carried from the living room into the bedroom with the crib), a restaurant-style highchair, and some extra toys in the basement. There isn’t much of a drive to Bar Harbor, Acadia Nat’l Park, Ellsworth, or even Bangor; so if you’re like us you might not be spending a lot of your days in the house despite it being so nice and my wife wanting to move in.

Clean, comfortable with a killer view!
This home was the cleanest house I’ve ever stayed at. It was spotless top to bottom. Everything was exactly as it was described. Plenty of room for 6 adults. We stayed for two weeks and never felt crowded. A very nice secluded property with an amazing view of Goose Cove. Close to shopping, dinning and a half dozen lobster pounds. Only 20 minutes to Acadia and Southwest Harbor. 30 minutes to the Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Communication with the owner was easy and any questions we had we answered promptly. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful home, great view, convenient to Acadia.
The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked and organized. The view is amazing- I never tired of it. Games in the basement and fire pit were perfect for spending evenings together. The drive to Acadia took about 20 minutes. Easy to get into Bar Harbor for shopping and restaurants. But Trenton Lobster, Helen's and Sugar Bakery were all great options in Trenton. We all loved it there!!
