The location was good (close to a shopping centre, atm, pharmacies etc) and felt safe enough (Barranquilla generally didn't feel safe at all) and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hostel is very close to THE Salsa bar 'La Troja'. Definitely worth a visit💃🕺

I guess I didn't like Barranquilla at all, but that's not the hostel's fault.

Friendly staff, small but fully equipped kitchen, 4 bed dorm was spacious enough with a copule of shelves and some big lockers (that you can't lock unfortunately) and one table, so plenty of places to store your things, big bathroom, strong fan in the room, towels and liquid soap provided, nice terrace outside, excellent wifi, safe neighborhood and a very cute young cat 🐈

The room wasn't cleaned well before I arrived (I was the first check in that day and the only guest at the moment), I found garbage in the room, garbage bin in the bathroom was half full, bed wasn't ready (they had some problems with the washing machine), the receptionist couldn't provide me useful information on a few basic questions (luckily in the hostel lives a man who knows the city inside - out), there's no real dining space, lockers that you can lock with your padlock are very small (enough to keep your passport and money but not for your laptop), however you can always ask at the reception and they will keep it for you, the hostel is a bit far from everything so you have to take a bus or taxi to visit few attractions that city offers.

the host was really cool and spoke good English and tried to help as much as possible which means a lot. there was a good social out in the front terrace which we enjoyed a lot more than the overwhelming reggaton in town. don’t worry about aircon because it’s free in the nights.

needs a good sound system so the reggae master can keep the vibe going good.

the rooms are clean, beds comfy, sheets fresh showers are good kitchen had everything you need the staff is very chill and friendly affordable laundry service, my laundry smelled amazing and was actually dry haha around you can find a shopping mall, places to eat in the frontyard you have a nice chill place to do some yoga or chill with people, eat and smoke i really enjoyed the place

maybe the only thing is that to go to "touristic" places in that city, you need to take the taxi but well it is Barranquilla so its always like that and with time i would suggest installing curtains for beds because thats always really nice to have more privacy

No Aircon

Wifi was working well, the housekeeper was very friendly, close to supermarkets

The atmosphere was a bit strange and it was difficult to cook in the kitchen because there were not enough cutleries etc we had a private room with bathroom but it was very small and the bathroom door didn’t close properly

The guy in charge: David! what a great guy! Also Maria! They treat you like long time friends and help you with about everything!! They make the hostel worth of staying. The hostel is also Located In a very good area.
