Wonderful location!

This house was great for our group of six adults, two teens, and two infants. Two primary suites and the wing of three other bedrooms were spread out enough to give everyone some space to themselves. The property management company was very responsive and helpful. Some things to note: 1) There is no street parking allowed, but the driveway had ample room for our vehicles. 2) There is no air conditioning, which wasn't a deal breaker but we did have to manage closing and opening doors/windows daily to maintain a cooler temperature in the house in late July. 3) Be prepared for the beach tar and wear smooth-soled shoes to the beach. Several us spent quite some time digging tar out of shoe treads. -- Overall, we had a great experience at this rental and would recommend it!

It was the perfect place for family to gather and celebrate my daughter’s graduation from UCSB. The setting was amazing with beautiful space for everyone to enjoy.

We love everything about this house! And the location is serene. This was our second time staying at this lovely property with our family and it met or exceeded all of our expectations. Perfect for adults and kids of all ages, room to spread out, lots of nature to explore and a little jacuzzi to relax in. Super clean and overall a delight. We will be back!

Great patio with access to the beach and hope king trail. We did have issues with 2 of the toilets but the owners quickly addressed the problems. Wonderful secluded location - 15 minutes to town.

Great house and location!

The property is clean and well laid out. The only concern you should be aware of is that jets fly over between 5:45 am and 11:50PM. Not very frequent but enough to wake light sleepers and halt any outdoor conversation. The bedrooms, kitchen and living/entertainment room are very nice. I wish we had had a key to the locked gate to the adjacent More Mesa park - the key to the beach worked fine.

Great location

Very comfortable family home, has everything! Great outdoor space for summer dinners and enjoying the outdoors. Beach a short walk away. One of the cleanest properties I’ve stayed in. Property management company was great. Some planes fly nearby to the SB airport off and on - we had fun watching them fly by, but some people might want to know that they do fly by occasionally when staying here. Great place!

Beautiful gardens alive with hummingbirds with a relaxing back patio for coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening! All we talked about was how could we afford to buy a property like this and live this vacation every day!

Perfect location for a girls weekend. Lots of hang out spaces to talk and connect. Close to airport and easy drive to all things Santa Barbara. Staff very responsive. Clean and well appointed

We were in Santa Barbara for my niece's wedding. This home is just as described and was a perfect location. Everything you need to cook for family and very comfortable bedding and living room. This is close to SB airport..so there is a little airport noise but we didn't mind at all and in fact liked seeing the planes. We would rent this home again.

Friends and I had a nice stay at the property. House is fairly dated but a cool location and cheaper than a lot of other options around SB. Overall a good stay for a group.

Stunning location and beautiful home!

This beautiful home in Santa Barbara is in a spectacular location! Adjacent to a nature reserve, and overlooking the ocean, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the gorgeous natural surroundings. The house itself was nicely decorated, spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Our family is six couldn’t have been happier! We had a wonderful time.

We can't praise this property and its location enough. It offers blissful quiet (with great wildlife watching from the backyard deck looking out on the preserve), the soft lull of coastal sounds (with peek views of the ocean and glorious sunrises and sunsets), and quick access to the private beach, a mere 4 houses down. The single-story 3000 sf provided ample space for our 5 adults and 2 toddlers, with the layout providing a separate section for the little ones and their parents to rumble about on their own. We prepared a full Thanksgiving dinner, and found the kitchen a joy to cook in, with quality appliances, ample equipment, and lovely dishware and linens to provide for a festive occasion. The outdoor areas provided many opportunities for R&R. There is a wonderful viewing/dining/lounging area on the deck with canopy, turf where the kids enjoyed rolling around, outdoor table tennis, a sideyard table under a tall tree to enjoy a morning sunrise, a sparkling clean hot tub maintained at a perfect temperature, and what we called the "secret garden" where a myriad of birds came to visit. We are very familiar with the area, and were seeking out a location that was far from the bustle of downtown Santa Barbara. The location worked well for us, as we could access the amenities of downtown about 10-15 minutes away. There were excellent restaurants within a 10-minute drive as well. We hate writing such a glowing review, because it could make it more difficult to rent this house in the future - which we plan on doing! Oh, and the property manager (Paradise Retreats) was outstanding to work with. We had an issue with the cable TV and they were incredibly responsive, changing out the cable box in a single day!

This is a fine property for families and for friends. It's in a lovely area, very quiet, with access to the beach and an area of hiking, walking, or biking very nearby. Located not far from the airport (you will hear planes occasionally but it wasn't a big deal) with easy access to Santa Barbara and Montecito.

This was an awesome property in a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is well stocked. The house layout allowed sufficient privacy for 3 couples. And the views were amazing! My only criticism is that the water had a high concentration of chlorine (but a Brita filter was provided for drinking).

We recommend this property to anyone looking for a bit of a retreat and a roomy house. While located in Goleta, it's quite convenient to downtown. But if you're looking for nightlife within walking distance this isn't the place for you. If you'd like a 5 bedroom house with plenty of bathrooms, a serene backyard, and walking distance to the bluffs overlooking this ocean, this IS the place for you. The house was clean, had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable! There was plenty of space to gather and also spread out if some solitude was desired. We would definitely return.

The 5 bedroom mid-century modern home was beautiful inside and outside. The family loved the backyard, with lights, hot tub, ping pong, grill overlooking the ocean. They provided everything we needed, except food. The neighborhood was quiet and exceptional. Access to the beach was easy. We all loved the experience and would come back as soon as possible!

Spectacular location with ocean views. The walk to the beach down the 120? foot cliff was half stairs and half paved path with handrail. Lovely home was well-maintained surrounded by gardens.

We came to Santa Barbara to see some visiting family. I feel we lucked out with this place. It is spacious to fit our family (including extended family). The view from the deck overlooking the nature preserve was relaxing and lovely. The house comes with a lot of amenities (beach towels, tons of dinnerware, blankets, etc.). I called guest services to ask where to find the cutting boards -- I knew they were somewhere -- and we had a good laugh when I found the 7+ cutting boards on the side of the kitchen island. It was nice to have quick access to guest services. The house is not an updated/modern look, yet it's excellent place for a get away with family/friends. We would stay here again.

This was the perfect college roommate reunion. Property was very clean and comfortable. We loved sitting out on the deck in the mornings and walking along the bluffs in the afternoon. Walking distance to UCSB. Beautiful neighborhood and the home was roomy with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and I would definitely come back here.

This is a good house in a wonderful location. It has easy beach access and it's a nice neighborhood to take walks. The house has an unusual floorplan that works well. Furnishings/decor were kind of cheap and dated, but fine. We very much enjoyed our stay. Santa Barbara is one of my favorite places!

Our 3 generation family of 8 found this to be a perfect spot to celebrate milestone birthdays and anniversaries. The house is beautiful, the beach was easy to get to, and the view of the adjacent open space was relaxing. I would book this house again without reservation if I needed a 5 bedroom house in the Santa Barbara area again.

This house has all you need - honestly. The pots and pans and cutlery are all in good shape, ready for family dinners. We explored mid-morning to late afternoon, then returned home to a quickly made dinner and hangout time on the back deck and backyard. Lots of room for everyone. Three bedrooms share one bath, then two master bedrooms with bath en-suite. It’s not contemporary and fancy but just right for all you need. Early morning and late evening walks and workouts on the beach were awesome. A couple of tips: 1) no beach chairs avail. 2) you do not have easy access to the Mesa park immediately adjacent. This is frustrating. 3) the quiet time at 9pm scared us inside too early and we declined hosting another family for dinner because of the house rules, despite the house being perfect for it. 4) tar on beach is real, but there is goo be gone and a hose on front porch to clean before entering. Don’t be scared of it; just clean it. 5) swim! The kelp is thick but the water is SO refreshing. So don’t hesitate, and just lean over and swim out and back. 6) Gaviota wind caves, Lizard Rock and McConnells ice cream were big hits for us. You can grocery up easily at Albertsons in Goleta.

This our family’s second time renting this house, and we just love it! The house, yard and neighborhood are great! The house is so comfortable and well laid out, and the yard is perfect for gatherings!

Our family had an amazing time staying at Buena Vista. The house was perfect for a multi-generation family get together. The grounds were so cool with so many beautiful plants and flowers. Close walk to the bluff and also down the stairs to the beach. Fabulous outdoor area in the back for yoga, sunbathing ans dining al fresco. We will be sure to come back! Thank you!
