Location is best. This apartment has amazing view which is why I booked this - despite more difficult check in and parking issue (both I was aware of).

Picking up keys and find parking. If you don't drive, then there is no problem. BUT if you drive here, you need to be handle 2 big problems. One you need to drive into a very very busy and very narrow one way road with tons of tourists around you (worst around afternoon, must easier during typical check out time of 10am). A person may have touch my car while I drive into the very center of Bellagio. Once you arrive at the busy central touristic area, you should park on right side of road (which is again full of people). Once you get key, you now need to find parking. I was prepared for this with plenty of research. Thanks to host to help with this and this turns out to be less of an issue (early Sept) as I found a paid parking spot (daily rate of 20 Euro).

The view from the balcony was spectacular. The location is great if you like the crowds. Room was quite clean. We found an insect inside the room but it is not surprising in a place with lots of green nature like Lake Como. The place is quiet in the evening. In front of the ferry station (which was very convenient for us in terms of commuting between villages).

Not as convenient as a hotel in terms of helping with luggage and other in-room services. Be aware if you are coming with a taxi, you should stop near the Bellagio ferry station, otherwise you will be going down lots of stairs (you don’t want experience this like we did especially if you heavy luggages). Also, we had to carry all the luggage up the stairs inside the building (the apartment was in the upper floor). Personally, I will stay in a hotel next time as I believe it is more convenient especially if you are in a place like Lake Como.

Our plane landed early in Milan, but someone came quickly to let us in. Hosts were terrific about recommending activities, restaurants, cooking classes nearby. This beautiful, comfortable, clean, well-appointed apartment was surprisingly quiet despite being in the heart of Bellagio. Mille graze! Can't wait to return!
