With the national park entrance just a few minutes away and lots of great eateries in-between, this is the perfect place to stay with a group of friends or big family (if you don’t mind a few gnats and bugs here and there, but that’s part of the experience). Would stay again!

I booked the property to celebrate my nephew's birthday. There were 7 of us and it's was plenty of room. I've stayed at couple vrbo properties prior and this property by far is the best experience for me. I didn't need to follow up or contact the host for anything. The check in and out process were easy. The property was very cleaned on the inside. There were enough towels and anything your can think of. The basketball hoop was a hit among the men. The river entry was a little hard to find at first but once we figured it out, it was easy to get there. One minor comment that I would make would be if the property owner could make the pathway to the river entrance to be a little clearer/nicer. I observed the property next to us and they had a nice little chair and clearer pathway to the river. Overall, no complain or issue with this property. I would recommend it for a large group.

The directions to the property were well written making it easy to find. The property itself is expansive and we were able to see some wildlife (turkeys and either a fox or coyote..it was too far away). The accommodations were comfortable with everything we needed and being able to do laundry was a plus! The information book provided was impressive with everything you could want to know about the surrounding area and the Park. If ever given the chance to come back, I would!

This house had the basics, but many things were broken/missing and owner was extremely rude when we called him. Owner actually hung up on me when I asked him to fix some of these items. Owner claimed that housekeeper (who had arrived only to roll trash receptacles to the curb) would be fixing recessed lighting and other electrical issues, when the housekeeper clearly said she was not able to do those things; owner will need to call a handyman for it. A few things worth noting, so families can plan accordingly. 1) Carbon monoxide detector was not working when we got there, and owner sent someone 2 days after we insisted they fix it; safety concern, 2) Ice maker in freezer was not working and they did not fix it for entire duration of our stay 3) Bunk bed is missing (and we booked this rental primarily for the kids to have a bunk bed). To our request for putting the bunk beds together, owner insisted that they are keeping the twin beds separate for the safety of our kids (note: bunk beds sold are expected to be *safe* when installed correctly), 4) screen door to patio was broken, owner sent someone to fix it after we insisted 5) recessed lighting in living room was not working, which they also fixed after 2 days into our stay. 6) Air conditioning does *not* work throughout the house. Central air conditioning is only available in 2 of the 4 rooms. 7) Pots and pans in kitchen had grease on it. Not many coffee mugs; at least, not enough for a group of 8 adults. Dishes in dishwasher were dirty and we had to run the wash cycle when we arrived. Families note: there are no board games or cards available in the house. They do have a basketball hoop in their driveway; bring a ball. On a positive note, the cottage/house is certainly rustic and off-the-cell phone grid. If you take a walk in the neighborhood, there are other homes/ranches with animals (llamas, horses, donkeys, and goats). Local wildlife made some apperances- deer and turkey. Proximity to Sequoia NP entrance was good.

This place was amazing. Plenty of space. Great location. I would definitely go here again.

Could have been cleaner, but loved the back deck and the location.

This location is great for a visit to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The house is spacious and had plenty of room for the 6 adults and 5 teens/tweens in our group. Communication and directions to the property were good. While there were enough plates, bowls and silverware for the 11 of us, there were just a few glasses and minimal although sufficient cookware. The entire house could use a deep cleaning and while the beds and bedroom furniture were comfortable, the living and dining furniture was dated and stained. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again but a little more updating and cleaning with a few more dishes and small items such as bath mats outside the showers and ant traps to help with the many small ants seen throughout the house would take this listing to 5 stars

Property was as advertised - comfortable, not fancy, basic amenities, everything we needed. The location is terrific - very convenient to Sequoia National Park. We also enjoyed the river access at the back of the property, although we had to poke around a bit to find it. In the evening the electricity flickered and we were worried about an outage but it was fine. I appreciated the low-hassle nature of this VRBO - no elaborate checkout checklist, sensible but not restrictive property rules. I would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious accommodation located in a serene place close to Sequoia national park entrance. The facilities provided are excellent and we will recommend to our friends.

House is pretty spacious and clean. It is just a bit far to drive to park center.

The house was spacious with plenty of room.

There was plenty of room for all 7 of us. The layout of the house worked especially well since we had a family of 4 (2 young children) that could stay at one end of the house while 3 other adults had the other end of the house. So much room to spread out! Loads of parking (we had 3 cars). Nice large porch area we used frequently. We all enjoyed going to the river each evening. Many wild turkeys and deer. Great A/C (it was warm the days we were there). Simple check-in instructions and a quick response when we found we needed a portable fan. From other people’s reviews (and reviews of similar VRBO properties in this area) I was aware that the properties would not be ‘pristine’ but I was a little disappointed that the sheets in the twin room must have been missed when doing laundry from the previous clients (hair on the pillow area of one twin and obviously someone sleeping with dirty feet on the other twin). Because of seeing this we all washed our sheets before the 1st night’s sleep. There were a TON of towels (thank you!) but not enough wash cloths and hand towels. It was also a ‘sock/shoe only’ home (i.e. you could not walk around in bare feet without your soles getting dirty very quickly). But overall (given the forewarning of other people’s reviews), a good stay in a very roomy house.

My group of 8 had a great time lounging on the deck and taking advantage of proximity to Sequoia NP at the river house. The electricity was out in one corner of the house, but other than that our stay was free of concerns.

The booking and check in were very easy. Very good communication with Ash. The property is spacious, clean and calm. It is sparse and basic. Bring your own coffee and laundry detergent etc. The river is dry (in June). The little town nearby (Three Rivers) is quaint and the nearby park so beautiful.

Very nice home , with the woods as your backyard . We got to see some wildlife visitors during our stay. A family of wild turkeys as well as deer that love feasting on the lemon tree located on the side of the house. Enjoyed the creek/river located behind the home . Water is refreshing after a long hike at Sequoia. We definitely enjoyed our stay . Looking forward to our next visit .

Overall experience was great, the only concern is one of the rooms the heater was not working. The room was really cold. Take extra warm blankets. The neighborhood is calm. Thanks for giving us an affordable vacation home for my family and I. Management personnel and property owner are friendly, tyey respond quickly. Keep on doing what you guys are doing. Great Experience!

Layout is as advertised. Location is convenient to Sequoia NP. Very clean! Kitchen and dishes are very spartan. If cooking your own meals, suggest BYO knives and gadgets. Wood stove and gas grill are nice amenities. BYO firewood.

The house was a great place to stay. It had lots of great features, but could use a few improvements. It lists a balcony, but it is really a porch. There were a few areas for improvement, but overall it was good place for our group.

Perfect for our two family, two day getaway. Everything was perfect. Plenty of room for the kids, and plenty of privacy for the adults.

This is s friendly family style home with three private bedrooms (a fourth comes off the master). We met the owner (helpful and wanted us to be happy) as he moved some more nice furniture into the home. The family open living room and dining room allowed for foosball to be played for hours ( table in open area) and later card games. Plenty of space in the common areas. The master bedroom has a huge closet that could fit your crib or twin bed for families. Eight miles to Sequoia National Park. Avoid the park on weekends (crowded) but nice on the weekdays. Three Rivers is a small town so stop for groceries before arriving. The Village Market has most items but you pay for the convenience.

We had a lovely time in this house. It was large and roomy and the location was perfect to head into the Sequoia National Forest. The property manager always replied back very quickly to our questions.
