This is one of the best hostels in Iceland. The property was clean, friendly and lively. The host was very helpful, suggested me places and also got me discount in many tours. I definitely recommend to speak to the host about discounts. The place has very friendly pets aswell to play with. I will definitely come again to this wonderful place.

Very nice place, typical hostel - no luxury but homey and comfortable. Common bathrooms, kitchen, dining and sitting area, all well equipped. Very comfy beds. Great breakfast in the restaurant next door. Lovely surroundings.

Not quite enough bathrooms.

Nice hostel with decent facilities (kitchen, bathrooms) and a nice view onto the town and the ocean. The breakfast at the hotel nearby was tasty.

The room only contains 2 beds, no chairs, no hangers, no light next to the bed - these things would be good additions to the room. The floor in the room was quite dusty.

The breakfast is awesome, they got fresh eggs and fresh bakeries. There are animals around the hostel. They are friendly and nice. The room is tidy and clean. Excellent kitchen for backpackers. Got all stuffs we need.

The lock of the dorm is bit creaky. You need to be extra cautious to avoid disturbing roommates.

Very nice facilities, we were lucky to be upgraded to an individual Unit/ house from a Family room. Great facilities, fantastic breakfast, very nice staff. Great view of the village from the hill too!

The kitchen/living room was a bit cold but it was winter and a high ceiling. Not an issue.

Rooms are quite small but defiantly enough space for a night or two.

I have been in this hostel at least 5 times, but this time I was probably the happiest there. The bathroom in the first floor is very nicely renovated and I had the chance to practice some Icelandic with the owners. In general the ambiance in this hostel is really warm and friendly!

One night I was woken up by some drunk people. But that's not the fault of the hostel.

Really nice hostel, they also have an amazing boot dryer which was very popular and much appreciated as my boots were soaked when I arrived. They provide tea and coffee and a great breakfast in the morning. The hostel felt very homely and enjoyed hanging out with the other guests. It's a bit of a walk down the hill (and back up) to the main town but if you're in a car really easy to find and plenty of parking.

have stayed here twice, same room both times. looks like some renovations have been done since our last visit. great location, easy to find, quiet, facilities are great, kitchen available. A very nice and “typical” hostel environment.

A perfect sustainable hostel in Vík! Well stocked kitchen, yummy breakfast, and friendly staff and guests.

everything was amazing. The cabin with confortable beds, cute little kitchen, hot bathroom, with an incredible view.

we could not manage to lock the cabin.

It’s a super friendly place to be! Absolutely feels like home. Such a pity we couldn’t stay longer. There’s a big kitchen for guests to use, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, notes everywhere so it’s easy to understand the rules and other stuff.

Homemade breakfast was delicious!

The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The dogs are super nice too!

Good breakfast

Hostel for aprox 50 people with just 2 showers (the third one was being reformed) and 4 WC (2 of them with the showers and 1 without door). They leave you the sheets to make your own bed. Very expensive for the services.
